I ordered a wooden pen for my husband to celebrate our 5^th anniversary but it didn’t arrive before we left for our trip. I decided to contact the owner to see if there was anyway I could get another pen delivered directly to our hotel. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate me and was able to ship another pen that arrived just in time for our anniversary. The pen was absolutely beautiful and is a perfect keepsake to remember such a special milestone. I received the best of both worlds– a fantastic gift for my husband and superior customer service. I have two products from LoneStar Artisans: a cutting board, and a toy box. The cutting board is gorgeous and is both decorative AND useful. I display the decorative side, and then use the other side to cut. The toy box resides in our living room and «hides» all of the toddler toys that live in our house. It too is both beautiful and functional.
You can’t go wrong with LoneStar Artisans. The guy knows his stuff and I have been extremely pleased with my purchases.

This firm makes fantastic custom pieces at reasonable prices. I ordered 3 of the specialty cutting boards, each different than the other – one for my wife, one for my Mom, and one for my wife’s mom. I got raves back from all three, and the board holds pride of place in my kitchen now. His service was excellent – I got an email confirmation and a nice note with each order, and delivery was prompt and as expected. I liked the artisan (John Loftis) so much that I follow his blog now, where he shows off some pretty amazing pieces that he builds on commission. The artistry and craftsmanship is impressive. I plan to commission him whenever I need wood furniture or practical pieces; I live in Pennsylvania, and his craftsmanship is worth it to order all the way from Texas.
