Oak Point Recreation Center

I enjoy the Oak Rec Center and think it is run very well. However, there are two televisions sets in the exercise area that are not on. One of them has been off for close to a year. When I ask they tell me they are waiting for Direct TV to come out to fix the connection. Direct TV does not take a year for maintenance. Then again I do not know of all the circumstances.

I have held several kids’ birthday parties here now and feel like I could write a separate 5 star review about each one.
Today, my 6 year old boy had his gymnastics party there. The price cannot be beat and the staff was fantastic. The facilities are well maintained and have everything you could want for a party — trampolines, foam pit, ropes to swing on, and plenty of gymnastics equipment. Prior to the party, they send a questionnaire in order to tailor the activities to your wants. All 3 coaches were so hard working and energetic and even made setup so easy for me. Parties can be scheduled at 2 or 4 pm on Saturdays. The 4 pm kids get to take leftover balloons.
Last year, we rented out the entire indoor pool a combined kids’ party. Pool has slides and diving boards, prices are very reasonable, and again, the lifeguards on staff were fantastic.

Very family friendly. I recommend it to all Plano household or even for other neighboring town. You membership have access to all Plano Recs. Love it here!

I especially like the City of Plano’s Oak Point Recreation center as it has around 16 dedicated lap lanes in the indoor pool. I like to swim and this is a place where you can swim your laps and typically get a lane to yourself. The outdoor pool is great for kids. It has a basketball court.
