Enjoyed my ONLY class(with Melanie), but wish that they didn’t give out punch cards(for Groupon). Couldn’t attend any more classes, due to losing my punch card :(I think it could’ve been greater had I gotten to attend all my classes.

I have been trying to RSVP for classes for over a week now and no luck. The website has been down, the email bounces back as undeliverable, and the phone number is an «info only line» that I left a message on anyways and still have not recieved a response. Very frustrating!

First I want to say that I have not been to this studio and this review is to say why I never will… I purchased a Buy With Me(BWM) deal for this studio and then the next month I hurt my back, was in the hospital and then on Physical Therapy… and just as I was healing… I came down with Appendicitis and had surgery. This deal was the last thing on my mind. So, the deal expired. I healed and then I contacted Rashida, owner of Poleiticians and told her what the BWM website said(listed below regarding expired vouchers). I asked her if I could use the amount I paid for the voucher to attend one(1) of her classes. I did not ask for her to honor the deal(4 drop in classes). Rashida was SOOORUDE to me. She said that she was not under a contractual agreement with BWM to honor anything of the sort but«to be nice» if I produced a written doctors note stating that I was in fact under a doctors care during the time the deal was active, and after she called to verify that I was in fact really under the doctors care, that she would give me one week to use the voucher. I wish I could upload sound tracks to Unilocal to help you better understand her«attitude» and how rude she was. Really??? Why in the world would I want to waste my time and energy taking a class from someone with such an attitude, someone that thinks I might«need» to take a class from her studio so bad that I’ll let myself be talked to the way she talked to me? I’d rather loose the money… thankfully though, BWM was so awesome, they gladly credited the amount that I paid for the deal and added it to my account. At least someone knows how to keep a client. I think that businesses that go on these deal websites need to realize this is THEIR«opportunity» to showcase their business. If they would have put a paper ad somewhere they’d be out the cost of their ad and never really know how many people now knew about their business. Instead Rashida received ½ of what I paid for the deal and I never even went. And, again, I won’t go purely because of her negative and derogatory attitude to someone who«could have been» a client — instead I am just a person now writing this Unilocal review and giving this place a 1-star rating. So, I can’t tell you if their classes are good but I can tell you that anyone who owns a business and treats a potential client this way is not a business I’d want to give my money to. BWM disclaimer about expired deals: «If you’re not able to use your voucher before the expiration date, it loses its promotional value. But, you’ll still be able to use it for the value equal to what you paid, for the period of time required by law for gift certificates to be valid in your state.»

I am so excited to be the first to review Pole’iticians! Living Social had a 4 classes for $ 45 deal, so a friend and I decided to do it! I have to say, when I walked in, I was SUPER skeptical. It looked like a strippers lounge with probably about 10 mounted poles, stripper shoes, and leopard print couches. I was about to turn and run out, I was SO out of place. I am so glad we stayed because it was one of the most fun hours of working out ever. We took Pole 1 taught by Shak, who I totally love. First off, she is HILARIOUS. Trying to be sexy is awkward and pole dance is not easy. She makes you feel super comfortable, turns down the lights and turns up the sensual R&B music(R. Kelley, Ginuwine, etc). The mood is really set and before we knew it, we were REALLY into it. We learned how to do 2 pole tricks, including fireman and mysterious woman. I was convinced there is no way I would be able to do it and look pretty doing it. I was wrong!!! The instruction was great and I was good at it! We also learned some sexy transitions, and sexy walk. By the end we put it all together and had a whole routine! I am so excited I have 3 classes left to do and now I am seriously considering getting a pole installed at my apartment so I can show off for my boyfriend! I do have a few bruises on my shins, but it was a great, fun way to workout and get in touch with your sexy womanly side!
