Rude service and the man behind the counter picked the chocolate with the same hand he collected my cash. Ew.
The chocolate wasn’t even good.

Good chocolate, but lousy service… rude, sarcastic, arrogant man behind counter. Honestly, he acted like a snotty, defiant toddler. Apparently unhappy. Too bad, with good customer service (even if he had to fake it the whole time… but he is obviously incapable and couldn’t care less) this place would likely have either more business or sell more items per customer.
Smells delicious as u enter. Some of the displays look dated and dusty. The male owner (hav met him before and he was just as snarky back then) was a bit impolite to two other customers before us. My daughter was conversing with him briefly, only to be spoken to like she was stupid, which she is not. If the owner were as smart and intellectually above his customers as he acts, he would know that a simple question asking him which chocolate he likes best is just that, a simple question that can easily be answered for a customer who wouldn’t ask it if they didn’t really want to know. Talk about making a nasty mountain out of a molehill. I asked her upon exiting how she felt about that man, and she said when he spoke to her that way she just keep on talking to him to annoy him since he was such a jerk. That’s my girl lol

I headed in to this fine place at 9 pm the night before Valentines day expecting them to be either closed or ridiculously packed, and it was neither. The lady helped me pick an amazing assortment of chocolates for my gf (all of which were amazing) then I also got a tube of chocolate cappuccino beans (these were my favorite of them all). I can only say good things about this place. If you’re craving chocolate, just do it.

I used to frequent this shop in the past to purchase a 12 piece for gift add ons for almost all my friends. They have fairly decent chocolates and I like to purchase local foods when I can.
Recently, I went back to buy New Year gifts for my friend and the older gentleman wearing the apron and glasses had a very snarky attitude while he was putting together my boxes. His responses are snippy and kinda condescending in a way. I felt like I was an inconvenience to him while selecting my different pieces. What topped everything off for me was when I asked him if I can have the boxes with silver ribbons and he responded «I’m giving ribbons right now aren’t I?» While he was about to put on this thin gold elastic band. I told him I wanted a specific color and he just laughed at me and wrapped it in the silver ribbon I asked for and said. «Here, silver ribbon».
Speechless?
I will not return to support a local business that has attitude like that!

The owner of this shop is a rude sarcastic idiot. The first call I made was not welcoming and he was not polite. I felt as if I was bothering him. I could not even finish the conversation without feeling disgusted. Worst customer service ever. When I confronted him he denied everything and did not own up to his rude behavior.

The chocolate here is so good! The prices are on par for gourmet chocolate. They also have adorable chocolate-​inspired gift baskets that any chocolateholic would dream to receive.

I cannot recommend this place based on its chocolate since my family and I refuse to give it a try. The service from the older man who claimed to have been the owner was so unbelievably rude. After having a wonderful dinner and a little bit of ice cream from the Cold Stone (at the shops at legacy) we strolled past and the chocolate shop caught our eye. After waiting for him to serve his other customers we asked some questions about the different chocolate molds available. He replied with complete arrogance and it appeared to us that he did not care for our business. That being the case we decided to leave without purchasing anything. As we were leaving my 8 YEAR OLD son paid him a compliment by saying «If I worked here I would eat all the chocolate!». The shop owner replied «You should go work at that ice cream shop and eat their ice cream» rolling his eyes and shaking his head thinking we did not see.
All that we can fathom is that he was displeased that we were eating our ice cream in his shop. Still we do not feel that excuses a business owner from mouthing off to a child. In our opinion there’s no chocolate taste that good to keep a business with such subpar level of service open.

The selection was normal, and the chocolates were cute. Price was about average for gourmet chocolate — $ 5 for 4 pieces. However, the guy behind the counter was pretty cold (probably because we were a bunch of 20-​somethings who looked 16). I would’ve bought more if I had had a better experience with him, but I don’t think I’ll ever be going back to this place.
The chocolate itself was too sweet. Even the mocha dark chocolate had a really sugary texture/​aftertaste. Usually, gourmet chocolate doesn’t have that Hershey’s-like flavor (which is great! Just not for +$ 1 a piece), so I was disappointed.
I wouldn’t come back here unless they gave me free stuff.

A nice addition to the Shops at Legacy, given its proximity to a dozen or more restaurants. Great selection of flavors and sugar-​free (!!!) chocolates to choose from. We went to Schakolad after dinner to indulge a sweet tooth and Schakolad delivered. Great novelty chocolate gifts available too for any and all occasions. The only things that I would have counted amiss were the 1) small size candies and 2) the commercial appearance of the chocolates. I also would have preferred to have hauled off our purchases in a nice box, but ours was stuffed in a non-​descript paper bag. Because of the hour, we really didn’t see any chocolate magic being wrought in the kitchen, but maybe will catch some at a later visit. Service was amiable, making our visit memorable.

I’m very happy I came across this place in the Shops at Legacy because it changed my soul about chocolate people! I’m literally a changed woman. I never truly enjoyed chocolate until now. When you first walk in the smells of chocolate bring you to another place. Somewhere with water lilies I’m sure and birds singing to you. It’s just things all over the place for you to taste you really don’t know where to start or what to do. It’s truly a sensory overload so prepare yourself before entering this store.
I personally was drawn to the chocolate bites with alcohol. I had the opportunity to try the champagne and a dark rum filling. They both were pretty great, although the champagne filling is closest to my heart because it combined two great things and makes you feel all champagne sophisticated and on the budget. The chocolates range from like 37 cents and up. Check this place out and try and few different chocolates.

Great chocolates of all types. They have a nice mix of traditional truffles in both milk and dark plus some nice treats like chocolate covered s’mores, graham crackers and marshmellows. Gentlemen who owns the store is very nice and always helpful.

I stopped by for a little snack. Lots of truffles and chocolate to choose from. I decided on the chocolate covered cheesecake and it was amazing! I really want to come back to try one of their truffles.

Went buy there and their doors were locked… must have closed down! It was during operating hours…

CHOCOLATE LOVERS UNITE!
If you’re in this neighborhood or if you’ve just eaten at the shops of legacy, don’t forget about this little chocolatier for a little indulgence. A LITTLE indulgence might turn into a ALOT of indulgence. The sea salt caramel is very tasty, peanut butter? It’s AIGHT. Cappuccino milk chocolate? Yes. Raspberry Yes yes yes! The flavors are very particular and not daring at all. While the chocolate is very high quality, the flavors are boring. I like the location because I’ll take my chocolates and browse around the shops. Who doesn’t love to eat chocolates while they’re shopping?
They also make custom chocolate molded and personalized just for your special occasion. I saw a chocolate carousel that looked pretty real.
I’d hit Schakolad again if i was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Despite having lived in Texas, I’ve never been to Schakolad, but after reading Lyn’s review for Red Velvet chocolates, I knew I had to know first hand, so I managed to acquire some. *cough*
When I first bit into them, I wasn’t sure what to make of it, but I think that was because I wasn’t in the right frame of mind for chocolates right then. It was still morning and I hadn’t finished my coffee.
BUT, later on in the day… each one, each *bite* it got better and better… and better… and better. There were four pieces and I ate them ALL. I’ve tried no other flavor but Red Velvet, but they are totally indulgent. My thighs promptly cursed me, but to hell with them! These are *good*!

Ah… another place to get your sweet tooth on at the Shops at Legacy. When I walked in, I was already in heaven just smelling the chocolate. They have a good assortment of truffles and chocolates, along with some special themed chocolate packages and sugar-​free options. They also have drinking chocolate, which I would have tried but the person that helped me seemed a little snooty (in a bad way which is also why they don’t get 5 stars.) Plus, he put my chocolates in a bag and not a box — which means they have to be eaten quickly and cannot be transported home.
My assortment of choice — red velvet, caramel, hazelnut praline, cashew cluster, and a macadamia cluster — all in dark chocolate. The dark chocolate was just the right bittersweet and a good texture. They were generous with the nuts as well. The red velvet was actually red velvet cake covered in chocolate. Excellent. Prices are pretty much what you would expect for a specialty chocolate shop. And worth it for your chocoholic self.
