That Speranza has operated for more than a decade with only a handful of reviews to its name is indicative of the kind of place it is: it’s a solid gallery of fun, practical and gorgeous items for the home and office that is able to thrive on years of a reputation that many other businesses wish they could claim. A quick history lesson: when the Willow Bend mall first opened, it was too ambitious for its own good. An overwhelming amount of stores were more along the lines of what you would expect to find while shopping in Beverly Hills. Fancy? Absolutely. Expensive? Undoubtedly. It took only a few years to see Saks, Burberry and other similar businesses bite the dust, along with some more affordable options, like Waldenbooks(which makes me feel really old for remembering when they existed). The point of this whole paragraph is to show that Speranza has stood the test of time, and anyone with a taste for functional art pieces you cannot buy anywhere else owes it to themselves to stop in. Located on the second floor of the Willow Bend mall, you cannot miss the storefront. Floor to ceiling windows lined with all sorts of colorful and eye-catching appliances, art pieces and decorations welcome visitors, and that welcoming spirit continues once you’re inside. Simply put, the owners of Speranza are some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They are always quick to explain what exactly it is you are looking at(and trust me, some of these items are not what they appear to be at first glance), but they also let you explore and discover what all the shelves and walls have to offer. I’ve bought more coffee cups and keychains from here over the years than anything else, but my folks have definitely bought just as many bowls, mantlepieces and other decorative objects. This does not even take into account the cookware, wallets, watches, clocks and just about anything else you can imagine. Prices are across the spectrum, so there is definitely something for everyone. Sure, there are some pretty outstanding items that command a higher price point, but if you do enough digging, you can find goods in all price ranges. The same carries over to their website, which is consistently updated and a great way to either pick up some pieces, or preview them before heading to the store and seeing just how impressive they look in person. To sum it up, I cannot recommend Speranza enough. Regular visitors know this to be the case, but if this is your first time stopping in, I envy you.

This gallery has been here for years at Willow Bend and I always stop by to look at the cool finds that they have. The workers are very passionate and knowledgable about the items they sell. Most of the items are brought in from European countries and so if you find something here one day it might not be there when you come back, morale of the story if you see something you like buy it. I bought a cute silver keychain here and my mom picked up a one of a kind ring from Europe. They have really cool items and you can usually find unique things for a reasonable price.

I bought a chess set and board as a gift. Both were defective. Finally, after four months Speranza replaced the items with another board that is damaged on on corner and one of the chess pieces is missing. Speranza will not refund my money. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you feel like throwing away your money.
