Crate & Barrel

For basic silverware, glasses, or white dinnerware, I’d rather go to the outlet. For cookware and cooking utensils, I often find the same items for less on amazon. But there are definitely a few splurge-​worthy décor and furniture items here.
I don’t shop here on a regular basis, but when I’m looking for something very specific and am willing to spend more on it, I usually can find it here. After spending hours online and looking at houzz, I found a beautiful rug for the living room at C&B. It’s not a hand-​knotted $ 2000 rug w/​out the latex backing, but it is hand tufted wool and feels substantial. For some reason 6’x9’ is hard to find, but this place carries that size in quite a few styles.
After several more months of searching, I then found a pair of throw pillows with just the right pattern and tones to add accent w/​out looking generic. It’s great that C&B includes the pillow insert with the removable cover for one price, unlike other stores in the same price range.
My husband is into woodworking, but he hates to shop. However, he is willing to walk through this store with me and will point out the craftsmanship features in the wood furniture.
In general, I haven’t had issues with their customer service.

Visited this store to pick up a Mother’s day present. I didn’t look around much as I knew what I was looking for. Unlike some other reviewers, I experienced great customer service. The cashier asked if my purchase was a gift and wrapped up my purchase accordingly. I will return.

I have had one great experience with an associate here over the phone (very helpful and pleasant) and a really horrendous one (very demeaning and rude — I felt like an inconvenience to her day). Even though I haven’t stepped foot into this store, I have made a note to myself to not go to this crate and barrel to shop in the future. I wouldn’t want to accidentally ask her for help and be blindsided with her pretentious attitude (it seems like another reviewer has unfortunately talked to the same associate over phone and gotten the same treatment).

Obviously every Crate and Barrel is basically the same. But the associates here are amazing! So friendly and helpful. Julie and Mildred were amazing helping us in two different transactions.
We always have such a nice experience at this location. I give those lovely ladies major props!

Crate and Barrel has lots of trendy options for your home. It is true that C&B is a little overpriced but their product is unique. The one star rating goes to the poor customer service that I received when I went. I had high expectations for this place but Wal-​Mart probably has better customer service than this place. Although I will never come back to this location, I would recommend this C&B get training from the Highland park location because I always get superb service there.

If you have the money, this place is probably great. They have lots of great/​sharp home items and décor and follow it up with a pricey tag and what seemed like lots of attitude.
The workers didn’t say hi or ask to help or anything the entire time i was here. hmmm. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she was dressed like the street walker and went into the shop on Rhodeo Drive. Not my cup of tea per say.

great location (outside willowbend mall) and excellent, excellent customer service. i love crate and barrell and glad that i found this location. of course the one in dallas is my fave location since it is 3 stories, but this one is cute and quaint. i will be going back soon and often. i was very pleased with the customer service and the selection and prices of their wine stoppers and coasters.

DAMN YOU C&B…All your beautiful furniture and home-​y things that want to claim my entire paycheck! Needless to say, I love this store. I love the simplicity and style of their pieces and wish I had unlimited fund to spend here. Even though I definitely don’t BUY every time I’m here, I do use them for color/​design inspiration. I actully will be hitting them up soon for a remodel I’m doing and I… CANT…WAIT!

Beautiful store. Poor customer service… Very surprised by the treatment I received,
I visited the store and narrowed down my dinnerware choice although I could not remember if a particular pattern was in stock after I returned home. I called to check and even asked for the pattern by name. The person on the phone was rude, condescending and made me feel as though I was incoveniencing her. («Sir, we have 10 telephone lines in the store»). I am not returning for my dinnerware — I will look elsewhere.

I love Crate & Barrel because of how they decorate their store — so sophisticated, fresh, inspiring, and so much more. They really know how to put things together and showcase their items — if I didn’t have a budget, I think I’d buy everything in the store… no really, I really would. I love everything from their furniture to their variety of plates and silverware to their selection of home appliances. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an item I didn’t like. Not to mention that their staff is very friendly and when you want their opinion and/​or advice on something, they will gladly help you out!
Something that may be minor to others but is major to me: when you purchase items that need to be handled carefully, they have thick paper in which they use to wrap up every single item you purchase. It’s not just any regular thin paper — it’s like butcher paper that’s strong and sturdy. Their bags are the same way and I always like to save them for future use.
If you want to be inspired with your remodeling and/​or redecorating — whether it’s just one room, your office, or the whole house — this is definitely a great place to visit and get great ideas! And when things are on sale, grab as MUCH as you can!!!
