I had high hopes when I visited Dr. Poliak. She came highly recommended from my co-workers, but unfortunately my visit was less than stellar. She is an older, experienced and perhaps«old school» doctor who believes generic medications at CVS, Walgreens, Target Pharmacy, etc are NOT up to par with other local, mom and pop pharmacies. She gave me 3 different medications, all to be filled at different pharmacies(none of which I’ve heard of before). I also did not like how she immediately jumped to conclusions about my adult acne and prescribed antibiotics to take for an indefinite period of time. When I asked how long I had to take them for, her response was«for a long time.» What?! Uhmmm, no thanks! I don’t want to pump my body full of abx with no end date in sight. I’m sure she is an experienced dermatologist but I did not like her bed side manner nor her plan of action to treat my skin ailments. Will not be returning.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. While I do think Dr. Poliak is smart and knows what she is doing, her attitude as well as her nurses’ attitudes made me not ever want to go back. I was a patient with Dr. Poliak for almost two years. In that time, her and her rudest nurse(short, redish hair) have done the following(most in front of my face): rolled their eyes at me, laughed to each other about me, called me a liar, insinuated that I wasn’t paying attention, denied me medication when I wasn’t able to schedule for another couple of weeks due to work, pressured me into getting pricey procedures done every time I had an appt., lectured me on how to behave at my place of work(I am 26 years old btw), the list goes on… Almost every time I left their office, I felt very down about myself and wanted to cry. It was the worst part of my month. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Dr. Poliak’s office.
