This is my first time and I am impressed. Good food, good service, and good prices. You do have to pay for every little thing but not to big of a deal. Food: Good flavor, good quality, and when you say mild it means mild or not hot. I like that option. Cajun fries are good. Fried pickles are thick cut pickles so they are a little difficult to chew but good. Drink prices are good and even better at happy hour. Can’t go wrong coming here. Be prepared to get messy.

I tried crab here for the first time about 2 years ago. I have since returned over 50 times! Snow crab extra spicy all the way. Super consistent! Loyal customer for life. People tried to convince me that the Boiling Crab was better. NOT A CHANCE. The sauce here is the best Cajun flavor around.

This place was amazing the food is so good. The staff was kinda dull but service was still prompt. Only one waitress shows any joy to be working. The food was terrific. I have the Fried fish platter, my wife had the snow crab and shrimp. It was so good that we ordered another round of the snow crab legs. The football games were on every tv. Nice place. I’ll definitely visit again.

I’ve frequented several seafood feast extravaganza joints in the DFW area and Boiling Pots delivers the most flavorful, juicy and down-right tasty seafood options around. I find myself day-dreaming about the snow crab legs and clams almost weekly. I usually get mine«HOT» but have, at times, ordered«Extra HOT» — which i believe they put ghost pepper in. The latter tends to be a little too hot and the former just not quite enough kick for me personally, but regardless, is fantastic in flavor and definitely worth ordering and devouring. I have ended up liking the food here so much that I have had to scale back my trips. For one, I surely don’t want to kill a good thing and two, it can be on the pricey side. That’s why now I use Boiling Pots as a personally reward for a hard week worth of work and if I can make it on a Saturday afternoon, then by all means, I’m most likely heading over there. While I had an unpleasant experience with one particular server that was for some odd reason very opinionated, the service has always been a casual delight and the servers will get you what you need and are very attentive upon your arrival. They also know when to stay back and let you enjoy your«bag-o-awesomeness» and watch the games on one of the many TVs they have on the walls. The ambiance is very comfortable and they even have a private room with its own TV if you wish to host any parties or get-togethers. As for suggestions on what to order… I have found the following to be the all-stars of their menu: Snow Crab Combo Clams Cajun Fries Bucket o’ Beer — Shiner(order during Happy Hour, of course!) If you haven’t tried Boiling Pots yet then I suggest you stop wasting time reading this gushing review and head over there now. It’s pretty damn good.

I have eaten at the«Boiling Pot» quite often but my last visit on Saturday November 28th makes me wonder if I should go back to their rival for my «Seafood Feasts». Although it has been months since I’ve been, what I noticed is this: The owner isn’t as friendly as when he first opened and was trying to build his clientele AND the staff is not as attentive to the customers as they have been in the past. What makes me question whether I will go back is this: My BFF was here visiting from Florida. Orland has some FAB seafood restaurants and I wanted to show her that we have a couple of good also. The place is as clean as ever and we were seated promptly. The waitress was friendly and we placed our order. While placing the order, we decided that we wanted the fried COMBO basket(with shrimp) and NOT the 3 piece fish basket. The waitress took the order, however, when the order came back(we had started eating), we realized that the order was filled with the first basket and not the combo. We had order several things to split and had started to split the seafood basket, so there was one piece of fish in the basket and our sweet potato fries. We summoned the waitress to advise of the honest mix up. She apologized and then reached over to take the basket with the piece of fish. She went back to the kitchen, not I am sure what happened to the fried piece of fish but she came back with our fries and the four pieces of fried shrimp. FIRSTOFALL; this was YOUR mistake, so it WOULD have been a courtesy to leave the fish ON the table and come back with the shrimp. That DIDNOT happen. Secondly, you reached over our table, our plates and US to retrieve this basket. And THEBIGGESTTHING is this; it is totally unsanitary and tacky to REMOVE food that a customer has started to eat from a table and bring it back, to only have ADDED to it. Just PLAIN wrong. We have no idea what was done to it after it left our table. Did you sneeze, blow your nose, spit in it because we addressed the problem? What? My friend and I were shocked! Just shocked. We did not address it at the restaurant for a number of reasons but I do know that at a Chain restaurant, this would NOT have happened. NOTATALL! I have some other speculations as to WHY, however I will leave it alone. The restaurant overall is still one that I would visit, however, my trying to impress my friend was a BUST!!! PS-The bathrooms are SPOTLESS clean and smell nice. I LOVED that. I rarely use public restrooms.

Died and went to heaven in a boiled bag covered in sauce. I have found my seafood heaven in DFW. The sauce is absolutely awesome and the seafood quality sublime. Quality seafood in size and flavor no Chain bs here. The service was great when we went, only odd thing was the techno music at dinner lol. Heck, even the sausage was great. Go all out and get the feast, you know you can do it. Enough for 2 and well worth it, tons of snow and king crab, mussels, clams, shrimp, sausage, and potatoes. Everything a growing boy needs to satisfy your seafood craving!

Ok, I’m going to start by saying I never have service issues simply because I order take out from here. I have eaten here once inside, without any issues, but I prefer to get down and dirty with my shrimp at home in private:) I love spice. I love heat. I love this place. As an avid fan of the Boiling Crab in Dallas, I no longer live near there and I need my fix. Thus, I first found The Boiling Pot through . It’s exactly the same. If you like super spicy, go spicy. I wouldn’t go extra spicy right off; start at medium(my preference; it’s spicy like burn your lips a little, but not«snot dripping» spicy; that’d be «spicy» level here) and work your way up. Just a suggestion. I’ve seen many a person crying and snotty because of going too high here. I stick with shrimp here. The crawfish are good, so are the crab legs, but my personal favorite are the head on shrimp. They are good sized, nice and plump like me, and just cooked perfectly. The sauce is thick and garlic laden; if any character from Twilight shows up, they’re dead. So if you don’t like garlic, don’t come here. It’s amazingly perfect in the spicy sauce. It’s a messy meal, yes, but worth it. I wouldn’t recommend this as a first date place unless you are cool with them seeing you in this state, but otherwise… get in here and eat!

Went on a Tuesday night, wasn’t busy at all. Had the 1 lb of snow crab, medium spicy. Medium is spicy!!! Next time I’m doing mild. I can usually tolerate a little heat, but dang… It was good though, great flavor. Hubs had the fried catfish and fries… said it was really good. We’ll be going back!!!

Very good snow crab at a decent price! Waiter service was a bit lackluster, requiring a call out to them when a drink refill or extra napkin or butter was needed. Definitely want to come back to try some king crab.

It’s getting better and beats standing in line at Boiling Crab. Same concept, almost same pricing structure, no 2 hour wait to get in

Nothing beats than eating great cajun seafood without having to wait a couple of hours to eat. It is pretty much the same taste as the other popular seafood place, just different name for their flavors. Clean but if you catch them on days that they are short on staff, you could sit there for a good minute or so. However, I believe they are working on improving their service. Be prepared to get messy!

One of my fav places to have crawfish in town! I’ve been coming here whenever I crave for some crawfish. Their crawfish is fresh and well seasoning. The sausage is also very good. I love their Cajun fries tho; its so tasty in many ways. PLUS: NOWAITINGLINEANDNORUDEATTITUDEFROMTHEWAITERS!

The crawfish is juicy, the corn on the cob is sweet & savory, and the cajun fries come out fresh and crispy. Boiling Pots is Boiling Crab without the 2-hour wait, the airhead waitstaff, and the expensive bill. I’ve had the shrimp, clams, and crawfish, all of which I was impressed with. The spice level is on a more intense scale. I love food that sears the tongue, and I gotta say, between hot and x-hot, hot is perfectly comfortable and tasty enough for me. The restaurant itself is nothing special. It’s in a shopping strip and has several big screen tv’s preset to ESPN and other relevant games to watch. Thirsty Thursday advertisements are all over the walls($ 3 beers). There is a bar in an awkward part of the restaurant that has only ever had up to 3 people at a time from what I’ve seen. There’s hardly ever a wait and the staff are more or less attentive. My sister and I are stuffed after a pound of crawfish, a pound of shrimp, and a pound of clams all for about $ 40. Our go-to crawfish spot!

I am way far from trying everything from this place, but by far, I love everything! From the fried oysters to their wings, I love them all! What I love most about this place is that the line is less of a wait from Boiling Crab and their service is wonderful every time I go! Tien is by far my favorite server there! He’s always giving us different suggestions each time we come in. The crawfish here is so good! You can choose different levels as to which you feel most comfortable with. I like a little kick to mine, so I always get mine HOT! Not X HOT, but HOT and it’s just right. I will definitely be coming back for more soon! So happy this place opener up and that I came to try it! No more two hour waits for some crawfish and actual good Cajun fries. Team Boiling Pots!

My first visit was yesterday with a neighbor/friend. I had also heard from co-workers how wonderful this place is, but for some reason, I hadn’t gone to find out for myself… until now. I visited on a Sunday and was quickly greeted by a waitress. After looking over the menu, I opted for the shrimp combo. NOTE: At this particular establishment, you eat everything on the menu with your hands; so if you do not like to break crab legs and/or peel and eat shrimp with your hands and prefer silverware, then this place is NOT for you. Now here is the fun part: they put a sheet over the entire table; it kinda reminds me of wax paper. They also tie a bib to you… looks kinda childish in my opinion, but yet fun at the same time. Anyway, when the food comes out, it comes out in a bag that inside of a bucket. The bag is removed and dumped onto the table and I dive in. The shrimp, corn on cob, and potatoes are delicious!!! I felt like my hands began to get tired after peeling shrimp for a while, but I quickly got over that. Overall, the food is absolutely delicious, fresh and the place is just overall fun! You will see me returning very soon.

Arrived on a Friday night. Wait was less than 20 minutes. Inside was quite spacious, service was great. We decided to get 4lbs of crawfish(spicy level). Also ordered a combination deal with crab legs, shrimp, potatoes and corn for $ 19.99. We also got a basket of fried catfish which came with 3 filets and a choice of Cajun fries or hush puppies. I’m always a sucker for fries especially Cajun fries when eating crawfish. For three people dining in, it was a feast but we got a chance to try a bit of everything. The flavor of the crawfish isn’t half bad. I’ve had better but I think everyone’s taste bud to crawfish varies. You just have to try it in order to decide if it’s worth returning. I would return to get the extra spicy crawfish.

I am very glad to be an avid Unilocaler because I ordered the snow crab legs as advised and they were magnificent!!! We had to order a second round! The sweet juicy crab meat with the spicy sauce, perfection! I must say though, the crawfish when we went(mid Feb) were not that great. They were extremely small and with very little tail meat. I would go back and try again during peak season. Their service during lunch was also a bit slow since they only had two people working, but our waitress was friendly despite the fact we ran out of beer a few times… My suggestion to make this place better would to be BYOB instead of providing such a limited selection of beers(and pre-bottled cocktails, bleh!) Let us bring our own alcohol or have a full bar.

The wait time at the *ahem* other«boiling» place was 4 hours long — GOODGRIEF. So I told my husband I had read about this place and we drove to try it. walked in at 7 pm on a Saturday — no wait and plenty of tables, however, when we walked out at 8 pm the large waiting area was packed to the MAX. My advice — get here early! Service is great — our waiter was super friendly and engaging, he was quite busy but kept our drinks topped off and checked on us at least 5 times throughout the meal. The concept of the place is similar to the other *ahem* famous seafood joint — you get plastic bibs and a nice white sheet to spread out on the table so you can dive right in with your hands. I liked how I can order a «shrimp combo» here, where it comes with a pound of the seafood AND potatoes AND corn. A little cheaper than if you order it separately. We got a lb of shrimp, a lb of snow crab legs and a lb of clams. Clams is my favorite thing to eat and it was unfortunate that these clams are too salty. I noted many other reviewers also attesting to the saltiness of the clams, so I don’t think it’s my personal taste. The shrimp was perfect — big and juicy and not too salty. The crab legs were huge, but a bit too salty as well. I think maybe their sauce is a tad heavy on the salt — the best way to eat it is to the peel the meat and then dip gently the amount of seasoning you wish for. My husband and i usually get the«extra spicy» at the *ahem* other boiling place, so we ordered the same here. WARNING: EXTRASPICYISEXTREMELYSPICY! Our mouths were on fire! Really good but really spicy! Next time we will drop the spice level down.(My tolerance for spicy level is quite high too) I would come here again, but hopefully their sauce gets better.
