One of the most incredible, special times in our lives was the birth of our baby boy. In the process of finding a photographer, we came across Zoë D Photography through the recommendation of another photographer. She is a «photographer’s photographer»; passionate and artfully skilled. I have very discriminating taste. Our family chose Zoë D. mainly based on the newborn portfolio on her website. We especially love her macro(close-up) shots of little faces and toes. Our experience with Zoë from beginning to end was excellent. From first contact we knew we were in great hands. Her enthusiasm paired with her passion and skill provided our family beautiful shots. She was well organized, well prepared and gave us clear instructions(window lighting, makeup and attire suggestions, temperature, etc.) in advance for optimal photographs for our newborn. Our time with her was fun! Zoë is a pure professional yet it felt like time with a friend. Zoë asked about and listened to the few ideas for shots we wanted and was highly creative on her own, which gave us some really unique and beautiful photos we will be using in our baby announcements. She truly cares about her work, is serious about the art of photography and the final result and quality of what you will receive. If you are able to book her you won’t just get pictures, you will get artwork through photography that will last you for generations to come.

Capturing the beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime moments in the first days of your baby’s life should not be trusted to your iPhone, your pocket camera, or a friend who took some cool abstract photos this one time. Zoe is a professional — the only person who can be trusted to memorialize your newborn’s first days. Her passion for what she does is clear from moment one. After months of ogling her newborn photos, I started to wonder if I was more excited to meet my daughter or to have Zoe take her pictures. She came to the house to do the shoot in our home, a family’s most intimate spot. No cheesy studio posing here. I just let the master do her thing. I handed our baby off to her and went in the other room to take a nap. Seriously. She woke me up when baby needed to be fed or when she was ready to take some family shots. I am so glad I didn’t stand over her and watch the whole shoot because it made the finished images a surprise! Then there are the images… These are not your typical baby in a pea pod newborn photos(not that there’s anything wrong with those). If you want ART, these are the images for you. The first time I saw the slideshow, it brought tears to my eyes(and no, it was not residual pregnancy hormones). Time to start planning Baby #2 so we have another excuse for newborn photos! **READTHEFILTEREDREVIEWSBELOW!**
