This location is one of the slowest and incompetent locations I have ever been to. I tried to call ahead an order in the morning, thinking they would be super busy. The woman who answered the phone put me on hold — without actually putting me on hold. I could hear background noise and everything. I ended up starting to drive there, and ended up on hold for 10 minutes. I walked in with my phone STILL on hold and ended up showing the man in the front. The store is empty when I walked in. The employee ends up making an excuse and saying he did not hear anything. No customer service at all.

Been patronizing this location for quite some time. Atmosphere clean. Customers quite regular. I even see the same dog sitting outside each time… Today I had no wait, but I was there quite early. Even on busy days I don’t mind the wait. The coffee and food is worth it. I was greeted by the cashier as I walked through the door. How nice! Another young lady at the bagel counter took my order and was quite pleasant & patient. The bagels are fresh and packaged up in a nice to go container. I was even able to use a $ 3.00 off coupon for a bakers dozen from their email club! Bonus. If their food was horrible and the coffee was terrible nobody would go and the lines would be empty! I will definitely recommend them since they happen to have pretty amazing coffee!

The worst einstein ever. The service is horrible and slow. They will find a way to screw up your order. I have given them so many chances but today was the last straw. I walk in, there are only 2 customers in front of me and plenty of employees hanging out. In spite of this, it takes over 10 minutes before an employee notices the line that has now formed, and offers to take my order. Another few minutes; I finally get my order and I rush out to get back to my office. I take full responsibility for not checking the bag. I did not think they could mess up 2 different bagels and 2 spreads. Well I was wrong. I sit down with my boss back at the office and one of the bagels is the wrong one, both are burnt, and they forgot my spread. I am not driving all the way back to rectify this. I really should have read the signs that this is a subpar business when last october i asked for maple spread and the cashier looked at me confused and said they don’t have it… i then handed her a container of their own maple spread and she looked surprised. I kept going back because it’s 5 minutes from our office by car. But today was it for me.

2.5 stars really — Long lines at peak hours(lunch, and weekend mornings in my experience) seem to be the norm for Einstein’s and this location is no exception. It is pretty close to my apartment however, so we’ve ventured here on weekend mornings when running low on provisions. The bagels are consistently good, we’ve not had an order messed up as yet, knock on wood. They are certainly slow however. It’s baffling that they aren’t prepared for a morning rush on the weekends. But I enjoy their coffee and their variety of bagels. My favorites are the lox sandwich and the seasonal(?) french toast breakfast sandwich is delicious, but a splurge(not saying it’s good for a hangover, but it might be.) I’m sure we’ll be back, but we are usually prepared to wait a bit(~15 min) for our food to be in hand.

Burn it to the ground. The place is dirty and disgusting. Orders are slow and staff is generally rude and inept. Grease drips from the ceiling and walls. Dust covers equipment. How they’re paying health Inspections is beyond me. And if what you see is so clearly unkempt what’s the back look like.

This place is a hot mess! One of the worst managed places I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. After 30 minutes between ordering a bagel and paying for it, I waited another 10 minutes before realizing the bagel was not possibly worth the aggravation. On top of it all, they overcharged me, but since it’s too complicated to re-run the charge correctly, the cashier said to remind her next time. «There won’t be a next time.» I couldn’t bear the thought of giving money to such a poorly run place, so after 45 minutes I left with no food.

Einstein Bagels is a mixed bag. I like the bagels and the breakfast sandwiches but don’t care for the slow service and long lines. They should do something to streamline their system in order to serve their customers faster and better. I really like the cappuccino here and would visit Einstein more often if the service wasn’t so slow. Management should take note of all the negative comments online about slow, poor service.

To be fair, I only frequent here so much because it’s right next to my office. Truth be told, if there any similar breakfast or lunch option next to it, I probably would never come here. I can’t say all of the staff is rude and honestly, in my personal experience, I haven’t been treated rudely, but I’ve watched them(because when you order, you must wait a long time for your food) and I see their interactions with people and it isn’t always the freshest(see what I did there). Unfortunately for them it’s a customer service job and you can’t be rude to your customer– even when they deserve it. Average wait time is roughly 10 – 15 minutes. Lately, I’ve learned to get a salad and a toasted bagel. This speeds up my wait time greatly. Getting a sandwich, it’ll be forever and the majority of the time it’s wrong. I watched them get four orders wrong one time while I waited for my order. Their iced coffee and ice teas are not good. Not good at all. Don’t get them, please. I like the salads and their bagels, but really it’s the wait time that kills you. One good thing is sometimes the lady at the register will give you a coupon even if you don’t have one on you to save money which is nice. One thing I love/hate is now they have the calorie count on their menu which kind deters me from eating there at all. 700 calories for a bagel sandwich– yikes. If you’re in a rush, go elsewhere, but if you got an hour for lunch, that’ll give you enough time to wait, get your food and eat before you have to head back.

I love Einstein bagels. They are smaller than other bagels that you would normally get at a bagel store, but they are delicious and have a huge variety. They have a seasonal selection, which right now includes pumpkin and pumpkin walnut and other fun fall stuff. They also have pumpkin spreads. Their iced coffee is delicious, and you get to make it yourself the way that you like it. I had an asiago bagel with applewood smoked bacon, egg, and cheese. The bagel smelled like maple syrup, and it was so yummy. The staff at this location are also very nice. They currently have a deal going on where you can get 13 bagels for just a few dollars on Mondays.

I love Einstein but this location is horrible due to the staff. They are rude and don’t care about anything. I waited 30 min for a plain bagel with cream cheese. 30 minutes! And I only got my bagel because I had to ask what happened to it! Will definitely never come back to this location.

I have been going here for years. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Food is great and always something for everyone. Prices are good and they take coupons and its worth it. Coffee is wonderful. Staff is friendly for a fast pace, hectic environment. Seating is a real challenge and that is why I give it only 4 stars.

After reading all the negative reviews on this place I was prepared to wait 20 minutes but to my surprise that was not the case at all. I was welcomed by a very friendly staff member who immediately took my order with a smile and contagious energy. From start to finish I was probably there no more then 4 minutes. That’s pretty damn good if you ask me. The place was clean and organized and the workers behind the counter really seemed to have a system down packed. The reason I’m only giving them 3 stars is because my caramel macchiato was much sweeter then what I’m used to(I’m used to starbucks) and their blueberry muffins were a bit off(they make my favorite ever). If you’re staying away because of wait time or unfriendly staff I would try them again.

Slow and they always get the order wrong. The final straw was when they put cream cheese on my bagel when I wanted hummus and were rude about fixing it.

Can they get any slower? You are better off driving to the Nob Hill location even if it’s 10 minutes away instead of waiting on the poor service. I literally live across the street, so I keep going(I have hope for mankind), but I don’t exaggerate when I say they mess 8⁄10 orders. We make bets on how poor the service is going to be and how badly they will mess up the order. It’s a conspiracy!

I am writing this in hopes of upper management reading this. First off, this is not critical of the manager at this store because I have been treated well since I complained once a few years ago about the service. I go to Einsteins because the coffee is second only to Dunkin Donuts; Starbucks is too acidic for my tastes. I also like their sandwiches. The problem is with the service and I don’t think the service at this store is atypical of others. Why are Einsteins located in some small strip mall with limited parking? No one says, «Welcome to Einsteins» when you walk in(like they do at other places); maybe they did once I got to the front of the line but I forget. Speaking of lines, it is usually out the door on a weekend morning. There was only one person taking orders and if the order is for bagels that same person fills the order while the line backs up even further. Often I get behind the person who’s never been there before and hasn’t got a clue how the system works and has trouble reading the menu boards. Once you place your order you then have to wait in line to pay for your order. That line then gets backed up because the cashier(usually the manager) has to fill someone’s specialty coffee or drink order. Ok, then, you wait around for your order and you don’t know where you are supposed to stand. Pure chaos. I get my coffee and wait for my name to be called. Finally, I get my food but where to sit? No seats so I decide to eat in my car. Wow, what an experience. What happened to specialization and customer recognition!

This has to be the absolute worst Einstein’s I’ve ever been too. Even after the rude welcoming and brief talk with the clearly unhappy employees taking our order/money there was a lady on crutches who asked to be helped to her seat and they DIDN’T. I repeat these low live employees watched this poor lady struggle with crutches and holding her food until my friend got up and assisted her. They«forgot» both of our coffees and when we asked about them one of the ladies. I believe her name was«latisha or laquiesha» or something, was so absolutely rude and just so bitter she rolled her eyes and when we tried to talk to her she blatantly ignored us and turned around and nodded her head. The manager was nice, but we decided it to complain to her. They messed up food orders as well, food was still decent though. Place needs an entire new group of employees. Being in the biz myself I would never behave like this. Not even smiles from anyone.

Bagels are great and you MUST try the Lox bagel. Downright deelish! Get the coffee mug so you can get refills for cheap. Good deal. I do some meeting with clients there from time to time.

Another in the list of chain bagel places, there are shops with more traditional bagels but it’s hard to beat their flavors. It’s a nice atmosphere here. When I arrived at 9:00 on a weekday, the place was packed and the wifi wasn’t working. There are seats outside if you want to bring your four legged friend, but expect some jerk to light up a cigarette.
