Lakes At Jacaranda

This place is horrible. Pool is nice, lake is nice, I love all of the ducks, but the association is the worst I’ve ever seen or heard of. They have insane policies & as it turns out, they’re racist.
They have a strict towing policy… super strict for a place with ample parking.
My boyfriend’s company truck was towed for inadvertently leaving it in a resident parking spot when his pass is for the resident parking spot with overhang. Again, ample parking, not like he was taking parking away from another resident. When we went to pick up the truck, there was damage to the grill. The tow company kept dodging calls & when we notified the association who assured us they weren’t using that company anymore because it was the THIRD time it happened. He had to pay out of his own pocket to repair the truck because no one would ever call him back. We found out they were indeed still using All County Towing because they towed my vehicle for «excessive use of guest pass.»
THEN, a member of the association backed into my boyfriend’s car… when the alarm went off, we saw her & her boyfriend walking from the parking lot so we asked if they saw anything, they said NO. After they walked away, a witness came running down pointing out exactly which car hit his, it was theirs. Unbelievable. It wasn’t until they saw us standing by their freshly damaged vehicle on the phone with the cops that they came over to admit what happened. The entire time we waited on the cops, she kept making racial remarks & threatening us living in the complex. I might add that there was no instigation on our part, we kept our mouths shut. As soon as my boyfriend said he was going to record the conversation, she fled & waited for the officer in her car.
Two weeks later, we receive a letter giving us 15 days to move out.
There are lots of great places in Plantation, don’t ever choose this one.
