This company did a great job in getting our prescription glasses accurate and ontime. The staff was knowledgeable about eye glasses. Will definately go back.

What’s the point of scheduling an appointment and showing up on time if they just make you wait 45 mins. So annoying there’s not even anyone here

I visited this optical shop due to them having a opening at the last minute. It was easy for me to schedule a appt. and get seen quickly. Upon my entering the optical shop, I was immediately greeted by the attendants and asked if I had an appt. and prompted to sign in. The service attendant was courteous and greeted me with a smile and a little small talk. Checked me in and I seen the doctor with in 15 mins if that. Dr. Fagan was pleasant as well. Very helpful and quick. Seemed very experienced and answers all questions that I had for him. He even scheduled my next appt. and gave me a tip regarding getting the best type and price contacts with the insurance I had. Overall the experience was comfortable. I did ask the doctor the next day if he could fax a notice to my place of employment which he a greed. My job states they haven’t received anything. Don’t know who is at fault, maybe my job because they are a little shady. Anyway, bottom line is, I will definitely go back again. So far So good. No complaints.

I’ve counted on Sears Optical for years — even though I haven’t bought anything at Sears for a few years I go to the Optical area(someone in the know told me they actually lease the space from Sears) every time I need glasses, and so do my family members. The Optical area offers a wide range of frames and a variety of lens options(anti-reflective, regular/digital/wide zone progressive, etc.) They are open on Sunday — even the eye doctor is there — and they take my insurance. Every year their price beats other eyeglass stores — and I buy progressives with Varolux, and get lens grinding, anti-reflective coating, etc. I also buy their insurance so, whether I need it or not, I order a new pair of lenses before the end of the insurance period so I can have new scratch-free lenses for a $ 25 co-pay! They really deserve 4 stars and here’s what nearly stopped me from giving it to them — the Optical area is consistently understaffed. There is always a wait, whether you pick up a pair of glasses or want to see the doctor. The store associates are thorough so it takes a while to help, measure, and process each customer’s eyeglass order. I guess it’s a testament to their service and price that people are willing to wait to be served. The hardworking employees shouldn’t bear the blame of the Sears Optical management who should staff the store better. As long as you can overlook the wait(and maybe use the time to check in and catch up on Unilocal) there are many good reasons to get your glasses here!
