Do not waste your money. when I called Unger Kowitt, a smooth talking male answered the
phone, promising to resolve this issue with only a fee to attorney.
At time of court date I was not able to speak to «my attorney» and then was told attorney pleaded no contest!!! Wait!!! this is why I hired an attorney to plead my case. I still paid the attorney fee and the ticket fee, almost $ 400.00 There was no savings financially at all. This is a total scam, do not get caught up in this…

Hmmm, did I win the case? My bank account doesn’t think so.
A friend of mine recommend them to me. So I paid their fee which was $ 69, ok fine. Then Mr. Unger represented me a day before xmas eve in court apparently. Result was I had to pay $ 277 worth of court fees or something? Not really sure anymore to be honest. Grand total would be $ 347 for a red light ticket!
I repeatedly emailed and called trying to tell them that I never got a red light ticket through the mail which would have been initially $ 158 if I ever got it in the first place. I would have rather paid that amount instead! So the fact that I did not get it ever, without my knowledge turned overtime into a uniform traffic citation which apparently is whole other much more heftier fee. I explained to them in detail that the only reason I even had a spick of knowledge of anything wrong is when I started receiving red light ticket advertisements through the mail. I then called one of the paper ads and asked them what the hell was going on?! And that’s when they found my ticket in the system. I told Unger and kowitz this. Did they take anything I said into account? Doesn’t seem like it from where I’m standing.
I ended up paying because it’s already a headache and I shouldn’t be surprised that this is what lawyers and our lovely government loves doing… screwing you over like always.
I should have read the unrecommended reviews first. There’s quite a lot. They’re probably going to flag me down too even though I’m describing what I feel and the fact that I find it all unsatisfactory.

These guys are FAR better than the usual ticket clinics. They’re much more professional, courteous, and communicate very well and often by email.
They got me out of two back to back tickets and I really didn’t think they would be able to get me out of the second one but they did! I was completely innocent I tell you!
I will definitely use these guys for any future events where I am MISTAKENLY given a ticket! :)

Not sure if they would deserve more than 2 stars. The police made a false report and citation given was different from what he put on his report. I thought it would be an easy case for the lawyer to prove that it was misleading. The ticket was dismissed just like any other cases. However, I would still have to pay for the court fee, which together with the lawyer’s fee, turned out to be more expensive than the citation itself. My statement may sound prejudiced but I believe if the lawyer presented the case well enough I wouldn’t have to pay for the court fee at all. The service is good and attentive.

When I received my speeding ticket I was furious due to the number of inaccuracies on the ticket and knew that I had to fight it. I did my research on local traffic lawyers with the thought that a name brand company wouldn’t have the same understanding of the area. I was a little skeptical because of how inexpensive their services are, but I ultimately went with Unger & Kowitt because of the number of positive reviews and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. They gave me periodic updates when needed as well as having an online system to check the status of my ticket. I even called a few times to soothe my anxiety and the few ladies I spoke to were always very friendly and knowledgeable, putting up with my many silly questions. In the end they were able to get my $ 240ish ticket dismissed for much less and I’m very happy. I would definitely recommend them to any friends in the area. Hopefully I won’t need traffic lawyers services again, but now I know who to turn to if I do!

They are wonderful. My suspension was lifted and I did not have to miss any days from work. It was a great price as well. They are very professional, and way better than ticket clinic and Alex Hanna. Its great honest lawyers at an affordable price. Although court was scheduled too far along it worked out for the better. Trust me I was a special case as far as tickets go. Some of the tickets were a year old, and the $ 239 was money well spent!

Just got case fully dismissed on a speeding ticket of claiming I was going 30+ …all I can say is thanks to Unger and Kowitt b/​c they fought for me and won. I haven’t had a ticket in over 4 yrs. so I didn’t want that to come to an end. And it didn’t. Thanks again.

I was issued a citation for exceeding the posted speed limit by over 30 mph on A1A Ft. Lauderdale Beach. The fine was supposed to be around $ 400. During the same stop, I was issued another one for either expired registration or no proof of insurance (I forget). I took that on my own.
I used the Unger & Kowitt Android app on my phone to upload an image of the citation and from there, they took over. They have a feature on the website that allows you to check in on the case status, but the receptionist let me know by phone and in writing when the case was scheduled for a hearing, when it went to trial, and when they got me off free and clear. The service was more personal than I predicted.
I believe I did have a few moving violations in the preceding few years, but somehow they worked it out. When I have to deal with administrative tasks like renewing registration, license, paying parking tickets, etc. I feel like I am being tested every time, every step of the way. Things always seem to go wrong, I was glad I wasn’t having to deal with anything.

They saved me time, and the usual frustration and stress that’s associated with dealing with things like this. I believe they gave me a $ 5 dollar discount for using the app as well.
If it wasn’t seamless and if the receptionist wasn’t so nice, I wouldn’t have taken the time out of work to write this review for a judgement ruling 3+ months ago. The only thing I would do differently myself is to save a few hundred $s in the case I did have to pay court costs or the fine; the duration of the process was several months.

All I can say is do the math. I hired this firm to get me out of a «failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign ticket». I have an excellent driving record with my last ticket being well over 6 years ago. They were successful in having the charge removed and no points assigned to my record, HOWEVER, I was assessed $ 203 in court fees plus the lawyer’s $ 89 fee. Had I chosen to attend traffic school the cost would have been $ 186 for the ticket plus $ 30 for a 4 hour online course. In other words, $ 76 cheaper than going with a lawyer. I have no complaints about the firm. They were polite and professional enough. My decision to go with a ticket defense lawyer saved me TIME which for me IS money, however that may not necessarily be the case for everyone.

I’m really happy with this company. My ticket was dismissed and I had to pay just 79 $. If you are a good driver and believe that you got a ticket by mistake use them — they will truly help you. I really recommend Unger and Kowitt to everyone (except for these crazy drivers who really deserve to be fined).

It would have cost me more than $ 100 to take one day off to fight this ticket. I hadn’t a speeding ticket in decades and researched U&K before hiring them. I felt that the cost was reasonable and the additional savings to my record and insurance were more than worth it. Everything I sent to them was via my Samsung Galaxy 7″ Tablet including a photo of my ticket. I made two phone calls to them for confirmation of my payment. That was it. Total investment of my time? Less than 15 minutes.
I have always gone to court myself for infractions. I will never represent myself again.
