Dr. Wise and his team are fantastic. Always get a great exam and the customer service is outstanding. Yieun and Denara helped me with my frames, they are A+ associates! Family owned and operated is also one of the reasons why I keep coming back.

I had been to Dr. Wiesenthal’s office twice in the past, and was very satisfied both times. When I moved to Ft Lauderdale, I took the recommendation of a friend and saw a new optometrist in Wilton Manors, since it was close, and the doctors had good reviews. Unfortunately, the very expensive glasses i purchased never fit well or felt right visually, so I resorted to wearing the old pair from Dr. Wiesenthal’s office which fit just right, though the prescription was no longer effective.
I returned to Dr Wiesenthal’s office, and not only was I offered a same day appointment (which I scheduled for the day after with no problem), I was served by a very enthusiastic and professional young lady. Upon arriving to my appointment, I was warmly greeted, and waited no more than 5 minutes to see the doctor.
The exam was prompt, thorough, and I had the utmost confidence that I was dealing with a professional and very competent optometrist. This is a family owned business which has been in the same location for at least 15 years that I know of, so they must be doing something right.
Once the exam was complete i went out front to select my glasses. At no point was I led toward more expensive frames, or pressured into things I did not need. Yes, the optician (Demaris, very professional and invested in helping you select the most comfortable and flattering frame) had a calculator. She gave me a quote which was lower than I expected, so I decided to purchase a second pair of glasses. When all was said and done, I had a pair of computer glasses and a pair of everyday glasses (with magnetic sunglasses) for almost 50% less than the one pair of glasses I was replacing them with had cost. Prices may be somewhat lower elsewhere, (In many cases much higher) but the competence of Dr Wiesenthal and the service his staff offers is simply superior.
I would like to add that the beautiful and gracious Ely is in no way a «hard closer». She’s a passionate professional who makes sure you walk out with the most comfortable and flattering frames. She can simply eyeball a pair of frames and tell if they will work for you aesthetically and practically. Sure she’s a strong closer. She’s there to help you choose the best product for you. You’re there because you need vision correction. Why ever would she not try to sell you a product you came in for in the first place?
As I was typing this review, a call came in informing me that the computer glasses I ordered yesterday and desperately needed to perform my job were ready. Not only were these glasses comfortable and much lighter than my previous pair, the lenses are at least 40% thinner, and I paid a premium for the last pair to get the thinnest lenses possible.
I would recommend this business to anyone, and unless I completely move out of state, will always come back. Many thanks to Dr. Wiesenthal, Ely, and the team at Wise eyes.

I stopped by today with a bit of hesitation due to the negative reviews but since they have a variety of designer brands I wanted to see them. I was politely greeted and laughs were even exchanged as I tried on the glasses. No one was walking around with calculators as mentioned in other reviews and there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. The glasses I desire should be coming in within a few weeks and the young lady took my name and number to call me when it arrives. So far all went well with this visit and I hope it remains the same when I return to purchase.

I don’t understand the negative reviews! I’ve been going to Dr. W and his practice for 10yrs! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Ellie is the absolute best at helping you pick out the best frames for your face and budget. They are wonderful! When my 8 yr old needed glasses I brought her to wise eyes and they were wonderful with her. As long as I live in South Florida, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my eyes.

I am sorry to say that I would avoid this place at all cost. The reviews that describe this as a hard-​core business are very true. They charged my insurance twice on two separate visits for contact lenses I didn’t purchase from them. They had to repay that money to my insurance company. I discovered this when I attempted to pursue reimbursement for the lenses I got through another company. I only returned to his practice because I thought it was an honest mistake and then it happened again.
Although Dr. W wants us to be impressed with his experience and education, he could use a little coaching on how to deal with people. His approach is nothing short of «rude». He needs to remember that the customers pay his bills. As you can see from his review responses previously posted, he could not possibly be wrong. There are too many optometrists out there to put up with this place. I would avoid them at all cost. I had my final interaction with this very rude, arrogant and disrespectful man!
Experience and education don’t give you the right to be rude! Your bedside manner is deplorable! Do the community a favor and retire!

Did not feel comfortable at this place at all. They were way too pushy with sales. Felt like a customer first and a patient second. I understand that they have to make money but please do not make it so awkward. The place also seems pretty expensive in general so I’d shop around a bit. They’re pretty knowledgeable about vision and eye health as one would expect they would be. But again, it seems like the focus is on selling. I think they charge you more for a check-​up if you don’t buy anything from them and/​or use insurance or don’t use insurance. I don’t know, was pretty confusing.

I was googling a place nearby that had a variety of options for glasses, and I came across great reviews speaking of the array of options! From the moment I walked in the customer service was great. They helped me with my glasses and oh do they have fab options!!! Must go

This office is amazing!!! Very few times in life do you get an experience that is once in a lifetime. From the moment you walk in, until the time you leave, the exceptional care you receive is world class! Dr Weisenthal is the most caring and knowledgeable optometrist I have ever been to. He sits with you from the initial testing, until he finalizes your prescription. I have never had such a great contact lens exam as I did with Dr. Weisenthal. He is very honest, and caring, and you truly feel like you’re being taken care of. Then there is the optical sales department. Ely, the manager is AWESOME!!! The frames she carries are by far the best quality for the best price! She has everything from Gucci, Prada, Fendi everything!!! Her joyful personality makes you want to stay forever! She was so kind and caring, and really wanted the best for me. I cannot express how terrific my experience was at Wise Eyes. If you’re looking for the top quality and care, go to Wise Eyes!

Hi I just purchase a pair of eye glasses from this company and at first I felt good about the visit the dr was friendly enough as was the front staff until it came to picking out my glasses the manager was the worst type of shiester I’ve ever seen. She was trying to force me to buy things I did not need and lied to me. Told me certain things wold be added and it wasn’t. At the end of this while process I’m out 450.00 dollars for glasses that did not have what I was promised!!! Stay away from this place!!! The Worst experience I’ve ever had!!!

After writing this review the owner called me directly and apologized. She also sent me a check for the $ 63 dollar difference for the contact amount. It stinks that I had to write a review to get noticed, but I do appreciate the effort in customer service. At least if the company makes a mistake, they take ownership and rectify the situation.

Dr. W. really is a world-​class practitioner, and the staff is VERY helpful, attentive, and friendly.
My eye exam took less than ¹⁄₃^rd the time it took for my last eye exam to be administered (which was done at NSU). The new lenses they provided me with are high quality, much more durable than the last pair I purchased from a chain store.
All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. I’ll definitely be back for my next pair of eyeglasses.

This is the best eye care facility I’ve been to. The staff is ULTRA friendly and truly define customer service. They were even willing to do a payment plan for my glasses!
ALL-​IN-​ALL I love these guys and will be going back to them next year…
