Tried out Michigan’s Plus for lunch while visiting the area for college orientation. An order of two Michigan dogs with a side of mac salad and potato salad, double cheeseburger with homemade fries, and a waitress suggested fried perch special with homemade mac and cheese. The michigan sauce on the dogs was really tasty. The mac salad was bland and the potato salad was just ok. The perch was absolutely delicious! The mac and cheese had great flavor and was a big portion. The double cheeseburger was big and fresh and juicy. The homemade fries were awesome and had great flavor. Being a big fan of rice pudding I had to give it a try and i was told it was a family recipe. I thought it was ehhh it was a little underdone and made with nutmeg and I prefer cinnamon. I would like to try here again and checkout breakfast. Good food for a decent price with a super friendly staff. Update: Went for breakfast on SUNY Plattsburgh family weekend! Other than there is no organization when it comes to seating… so cutthroat seating. The breakfast was AMAZING! Breakfast definately wins!

We stopped by here on our way back from Montréal for some breakfast and the food was fantastic. You get really large portions for a great price. The service was excellent and our waitress was very nice. Definitely try the michigan dog, and also the tater-tots. Sneaky good. They also serve breakfast all-day. Huge plus.

Always busy for breakfast so leads me to believe it has the best breakfast in Plattsburgh. Food is good, portions are average size. Wait staff is friendly. Nothing overly unique about Michigans Plus, just a good spot to grab breakfast on a Sunday morning.

We were on our way to Sam’s Club and needed lunch. This was a tasty, albeit slow, option. My husband loved the hot dogs and I had a surprisingly good salad. There are lots of other options on the menu. There aren’t a ton of non-chain restaurants close-by and this was a nice alternative to McD’s. Just a little slow…

I had a nice side salad where the greens were green and the tomato was red– very fresh for $ 2.99, also had a side of fresh mashed turnips also very good. I was too full for dessert and they looked good. I was told that everything but the cakes were homemade. Also a plus, they serve breakfast all day. Friendly, good service and clean. A great choice if you are trying to avoid all the chain restaurants.

Very good for its price range. Zero complaints about the food; service was equally satisfactory. Unassuming, home-style food that is well put together and of high quality. Would definitely go back.

We had breakfast here with relatives who live in Plattsburgh. It was very good. The omelets were well-filled, the toast was tasty, and the breakfast potatoes were among the best I’ve had. You can’t go wrong at Michigans Plus!

As A part-time og Plattsburgh for many years, I sampled a lot of the local restaurants. As far as Diner’s goes this one has won my heart, Home made dessert, friendly staff, excellent food. and if you happen to be there on friday they used to have a Fried Perch Special that was very good… While their standard menu is good solid fare, everytime I ordered one of their ‘specials’ I was always satisfied. And in the summer they have a local specialty, pineapple paradise… A pineapple cream pie that is simply divine… If there is some try it. Their rice pouding and home made pies are worth a detour.

After cruising by all the chain restaurants on the«strip» my partner & I choose the little A-Frame like Restaurant named Michigans Plus for an impromptu dinner returning back home from NY. We were greeted by friendly waitstaff who provided great service, the food arrived promptly, hot, and plentiful. We couldn’t pass on the homemade cakes & pies so we took home our dessert. It was yummy. It was an awesome experience & would certainly go back again.

my husband and i found this place a year ago when i stayed at days inn, we looking for a place to eat, we wanted a local place not a chain restaurant because we eat 2 meals a day out we’re truck drivers and it’s so nice to be able to eat at a local restaurant because they take care of you better. chain restaurant dont care how they serve the food. and we’re tired of paying for bad food. michigan plus is a great place the food is best i had in awhile, my husband loves their pork chops, the soups are unbelievable i get a bowl everytime. i just dont understand why some restaurants cant get it right it takes same amount of effort to make bad food as it does to make it good. but the one of the keys is fresh food not left overs like chain restaurants. i tell you michigan plus gets it right every time, they seat and serve you quickly and alway have a great attitude. keep up the great service!

Really, no one has reviewed this place yet?!? Although my SUNY Plattsburgh days are behind me, Ican say I’ve spent a few great morning with my then girlfriend, now wife, munching on some great breakfasts. If your looking for a nice quiet little place, this not the place to be! I don’t think I’ve ever been there when it was slow. With that said, the service had a habit of being a little on the slow side. Despite that, I have to recommend spending a Saturday morning breakfast here.
