We came here for the first time in October after moving to the area. We had been to a couple of the other Mike’s locations and were really excited to find out there was one close to our house. We loved the beer selection and the food was really good! We payed them a visit for breakfast some time after that. We each ordered the meat mustache. Being that poached eggs take time, we knew we were gonna have a longer wait than usual. I’d say 40 minutes goes by and we are informed by the server that they ran out of eggs. Seriously? It took 40 minutes of wasted time for you guys to figure this out? But she did mention that the cook was already on his way out to buy more. Lucky us we had no plans until later so we waited it out. The food was delicious and despite the wait I knew that this was still a solid spot to get a good meal and some drinks. But then upon paying our bill we found out from our server that the menu will be changing and they are down sizing. Okay, I thought maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Until she informed us that pretty much everything is going accept a couple burgers and pizza. LAME. And she wasn’t lying. Decided to go back a week or so later and you have your option of like two burgers and pizza. A couple appetizers that you can get at any TGI Fridays or crappy chain restaurant. We figured we were already there so might as well grab a drink and some chips and salsa. The beer menu was cut back more than half I’d say. It was sad. And our chips and salsa were nothing more than Chichi’s chips and Newman’s salsa. At least that’s what it tasted like. I thought this place was different. An escape from the regular junk you get from restaurants. I really liked this place and now I’m just disappointed. I really hope the owner changes his mind. I know this place might not be bringing in as much revenue as his other locations, and it is a little off the beaten path, but there will be no Mikey’s to speak of if things don’t change. Just look at the recent reviews.:(

Love the fact that this place is a Blackhawks bar. Can always see the game. Very disappointed in the new menu. We loved the variety before and the Mac and cheese was great without the crowd you get at captain mikes. Now just pizza and sandwiches.

I agree with the last reviewer, Andrea N. Mikey’s use to be one of our favorite places. Closer than Captain Mike’s this was the place for burgers and Mac n Cheese close to the boarder. However, they have completely changed the menu food and added the«fill out your own menu» option like at Captain Mike’s. Don’t be fooled, a copycat menu template from Captain Mike’s does not make up for the worst food I’ve eaten in the area. Loose burgers, pulled pork, and 3 different bags of chips with a few appetizers are the menu options now. I brought a friend from out of town here this past Sunday after raving about the food. What a disappointment… from straight out of my mother’s mouth the food was horrible and the worst she had in a while. My friend said she was surprised we didn’t get sick. Not only being disappointed in the menu change, the food was cold and bland. We will never go back. Such a sad day. We had to go to Shirl’s to get dessert so we didn’t feel the night was a complete waste.

We’ve always liked Mikey’s for the amazing food and great atmosphere for a Blackhawks game. In fact, we’ve dealt with the poor service in order to enjoy the food and games. The servers are all nice, just not always efficient or attentive. The burgers and Mac n cheese were always great. I appreciated the vegetarian option of a delicious black bean burger too. Unfortunately, this week they completely scaled back their menu and your only options are a few loose meat burgers and pizza. Instead of fixing the problems they eliminated the biggest draw. We probably won’t come back. At least there’s still Captain Mike’s.

Horrible service! While sitting at the bar, we patiently waited to place our order. The several bar tenders walked back and forth several times not making eye contact as if TRYING to not serve us. Finally, my husband ordered a beer and watched the bar tender blatantly pour a different brand from the tap. We ordered the meatball sandwich which was barely warm and the meatballs were raw in the middle. Then, once we received the bill, we noticed that we were overcharged. We politely asked for a revised bill and that seemed to upset the bartender. He rudely slapped the revised bill on the counter and stomped off. To sum it up, it took about 15 minutes for someone to actually take out card so we could pay(once again bartenders paced back and forth without acknowledging us while taking the people around us orders). In summary, we felt as if we were a HUGE inconvenience and we will not be returning.

If you find yourself out and about in Pleasant Prairie, you must stop at Mikey’s not just for a drink but the food. Hear me out. The food here is above and beyond your typical«bar eats.» Unique concoctions like Drunken Egg Fries(fries covered in cheese topped with a fried egg, bacon, and chives) or three specialty mac and cheeses await your tastebuds. There are also pizzas and«Mikewiches» available. Initially I wasn’t going to order any grub but then hubs pointed out the«Nach-Yo Mac», which is mac and cheese with pico de gallo and chorizo. This beautiful dish is then topped with crème fraîche and tortilla chips. Be still, my beating heart. And so it was ordered. When my delectable calorie bomb arrived, I stared in amazement at this large bowl of gooey, thick cheese and generous portions of pico de gallo and chorizo for what seemed like hours. I swear that time stopped. I began shoveling the food down like it was my last meal. Every single part of this dish is perfect. Creamy cheese, a slight kick from the pico, and the delicious chorizo all paired so well together. The Nach-Yo Mac is hands down one of the top fives things I’ve ever eaten. Mikey’s is a Blackhawks bar and has a handful of stiff drinks named after some of the players. I’m a beer gal though so I remained loyal to my Spotted Cows. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that it gets terribly warm inside. Even though the air conditioning was on, you could hardly get relief. I had to duck outside many times to hang out in the shade just to cool down. Aside from that, Mikey’s has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to enjoy some great brews from their craft beer selection. The bartenders were all attentive and very friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Ive been here a few times when I head back home. We come for the awesome craft beer selection and tasty apps. As usual the tap selection was fabulous and there is always something new to try. The only downside was the bottles we noticed in a cooler. When asked if we could order one of those we were told that specific cooler is only open on Mondays. Not sure whats special about Mondays. We did consider going Oceans 11 style on it, but like coming here too much to risk it.

A good bar I hit on trips to Milwaukee. This is the best Black Hawks bar n the area and was surprised to see cheese heads into the Hawks. They have great dr k specials and a youthful bar look and vibe. The bartenders were amiable and the crowd decent enough for rigid hockey fans.

I can’t say anything bad about mikeys. The food and drinks are always on point. Food is amazing!!! Try anything and you will fall in love with it. You wanna watch your favorite il/wi team, it will be on. Love going here! The only thing I can complain about is the turn around. I feel like every time we get use to a bartender they are all of a sudden not there anymore. Overall this is a great place to go sit back and have a good time.

Great place! They have amazing Mac and cheese. They have two types one with bacon and green onions. Delicious! Another a buffalo chicken with blue cheese crumbles, very good with just a touch of heat. Order both and share with your table as a great side dish for everyone.

Mikeys is great! My husband and I go here periodically on all different days of the week! They have great drink specials, and a points system for purchases you make! After a couple visits, my husband used his points for a neon Sam Adams sign! There food from breakfast to dinner is great as well, and we really love the burgers! Lastly, great outdoor games for summer/spring!

So we’ve eaten at Mikey’s 3 times, the Bubba Gump — Shrimp Po Boy sandwich is a really good sandwich. The burgers are always delicious and will never disappoint. Today we had breakfast I had the Meat Mustache, made with 3 perfectly cooked poached eggs and a huge, delicious fruit parfait. My husband had the Breakfast Burrito with meat, it was a huge jam packed with a very tasty scramble egg mixture with Italian Sausage, Ham, Bacon, I’m not sure how many other ingredients were in it, but it was very tasty, so big two people could have eaten it and been full when they finished. We enjoy Mikey’s the atmosphere is great and of course the bar tenders always attentive and fun. Jake is our favorite bartender and always makes sure that we get outstanding service. Try their new Bloody Mary’s you won’t regret it This morning an outrageous Bloody Mary with one of the best Pulled Pork Sliders I’ve ever had. The menu selections offer a great variety to guests and so far everything we’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. Considering the size of kitchen, the cooks put out a great quality, great tasting menu. I’d recommend eating at Mikeys not only for lunch but definitely for breakfast.

Came here twice in the last month. First time with my friend and my boyfriend. We got the three amigos, the breaded shrimp, and the pizza bread. All delicious! And perfectly portioned for the three of us. You could definitely make a single meal out of the three amigos, most of the bar patrons were. We all enjoyed the large variety of beer. The atmosphere was really nice. Loved having the back window and door open to the patio. The flies were annoying but I can deal with that since I enjoy the patio being opened. The second time I came I brought my super picky friend. He is real critical of what he eats. He was super impressed. The menu had changed, but still really yummy sounding. The appetizers changed mostly but it was a good change! We got the chicken/bacon quesadilla to share. Huge and delicious. Full of flavor and the tortilla had just the right crunch. Then he ordered a burger, the Dante’s burger(but opted out of the gaucamole). He loved it. He ordered the kettle chips. They were not made there but they warmed them up and seasoned them. I liked that a lot because I usually find home made kettle chips to be greasy and stomach turning. I ordered the Lasagna stuffed mushrooms, it was an appetizer on the specials menu. It was way smaller than I expected but it was the perfect size for me. I have eyes bigger than my stomach. It definitely would not make a meal for 90% of the population, and it’s really an appetizer for two(three max). They were so good. Little bites of lasagna. I love lasagna. I would have eaten just a slab of lasagna from there if it were offered. So good! My friend is excited to go back and try more things! My only problem with the place is how close together everything is. The tables in the back are almost on top of each other. I’ve been here before it was Mikey’s(it was Uncle Mikes– same owners?) and they had the same problem. Luckily during nice weather you can escape to the outside(where there are games and another bar!).

Ok first off this is a bar and not a restaurant. However, they do serve an excellent breakfast. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. One person cant eat them all. So, if you like breakfast on saturday or sunday. That is one of the better places to go in town. As to the food during dinner. It is quite good. Wide selection for a bar. Fish frie is excellent andbig enough for two.

My boyfriend and I found a deal on for Mikey’s(Uncle Mike’s, actually), and decided to drop by for lunch after camping in Kettle Moraine on a Sunday afternoon. There were two other people in the pub at the time, so things were definitely calm. The service was great, and our servers were really attentive. One thing that was a little confusing for us after buying the deal was that they have rebranded. Their old website is still up with an old menu. The previous menu looked amazing, and we were sold upon reading the first page. The new menu is not nearly as extensive, and we were disappointed to hear that they did not have $ 0.35 wings. Nevertheless, the experience was good for what it was, and they had a fair amount of good food for a pub(a laminated menu, front and back). I had a black bean burger with twice-baked potato salad. It was a small side, but it’s honestly the best potato salad I’ve ever had. The black bean burger had a good kick to it, as well. It wasn’t your average black bean burger. They said that they had things to do in the back — horse shoe, and another outdoor activity. The pub is set up for people to hang out for a while. Nice atmosphere and good service. Frugality Tip: They said that they also have Groupon’s available.

Had such a great experience for dinner that I insisted on coming back for breakfast the next day — mostly due to having seen the breakfast menu and already wishing it was 12 hours later. Dinner — Well, there was a Hawks game on(pre playoffs) so it was LOUD and packed. Even so, Long Island Iced Teas were large and stiff(wink) and the food was great. I had Pulled pork sliders for the app, and Bourbon Bacon burger for the main. Service was a little spotty due to how busy it was but it was not bad overall. Breakfast — two words here! Bloody Mary! No, wait, those weren’t it. Although make no mistake, the Bloody Marys are really strong and really good. No, the two words here are Meat Mustache. No no… those aren’t it either. While this sandwich was interesting, it was a little frou-frou for my taste(poached eggs on a baguette, etc). Okay the two words — FLUFFYBASTARD! Yes! FLUFFYBASTARD! Oh FLUFFYBASTARD, how I loved you! Just saying your name caused me to grin continuously from ear to ear(the three Bloody Marys I drank might have helped). But then you arrived, placed lovingly in front of me, and it was game-effin’ ON. Pulled pork with cheese and onions between french toast slices. FLUFFYBASTARD, you were mine! Service was more attentive for breakfast since it was not as busy. Guy recognized us from the night before and came over to introduce himself and shake our hands and make sure we liked everything. Two visits from me in 12 hours. Yeah, they do it right.
