This was a weird little meal, to say the least. I have to drive by all the time, and I keep seeing it, and something about the look, from the outside, reminds me of Chicago — so we go. I check Unilocal, and they’re in here. So I look, and there’s food, so we go hungry. We walk in, and the 1st shocker is that there’s a dance floor. Oh, ok. But it’s super funny, cuz when I checked in on Unilocal, they asked if it has a dance floor — this is the 1st and only time I’ve ever seen that question. So we sit at the bar and look at the menu, which is kinda all over the place, but interesting. They’ve got a bunch of very unique burgers, and pizzas, and then a range of sandwiches and apps. The bartender had a strange informality to her manner, that was more unprofessional than homey. She was prattling on to a regular who may or may not be the bouncer, if there’s customers. We wouldn’t know, we were the only people in there. So after getting shutout on our 1st2 choices, we settled on a couple of burgers. Mine was the Parmesan garlic burger, which was like burger de jonghe or burger scampii or something. Kinda sexy, for about 3 bites, then cloying as a motherfather! My girlfriend had their signature burger, which has a bunch of normal ingredients: lettuce tomato onion bacon cheese etc… Then with A1, a fried egg &(drumroll, please) PEANUTBUTTER! Wah wah waaahhh… I’ve been hearing this peanut butter burger thing for years, and real hesitant to try it, myself. Instincts were right, totally gross. Yuck yuck yuck. Maybe just Bar 22 does it wrong, but I’m not stepping back to this plate for a while, coach! No thanks. If I’m in the neighborhood again soon, I’ll try a beer and a pizza, maybe…

This looks like a corner Chicago bar. A nice place with more of modern looking a building with apartments above. Good drink special and a small neighborhood joint this is.
