Best bar in kenosha, especially during the summer months. Food is good, drinks are excellent. Chris is the absolute best bartender in the area.

Having just located to Kenosha, we’ve been trying the various restaurants. We were hesitant to try here because of the wide variety of reviews. We took our daughter and son in law here today because they wanted to try it. We were extremely pleased. The place was immaculate. We sat overlooking the water. Service was fast, pleasant, and professional. The food was terrific. We had fried cheese curds, fried green beans, soup of the day, turkey club with bacon, salads and another wrap. All cooked to perfection. We’ll be back for sure. Give this place a try.

Decent tap choices. Great location and atmosphere. Food is decent. The cheese curds are hand dipped there in beer batter. No previously frozen pre pack stuff. Really nice. Everything else is ok. Good selection of house mixed drinks though. Can be slow and packed.

Meal was good and the atmosphere out on the patio was really nice. We went after spending the day with family and walking around we had a good meal. I had the cod and it was good. Several had the salmon and it was good.

We stopped here for lunch and it was pretty good. Got fish Tacos that were great and a grilled cheese and bacon with the soup of the day. Overall we thought everything tasted good, came out fast, and good service.

Food’s pretty good and the service is alright. The Boat House is right on the bay which makes for a great view and most of the restaurant feels warm with that kind of old time feel. That being said some of the restaurant(by the bathrooms in my opinion) don’t have an old time feel but have rather been forgotten about over time and are in need of a tune up. The Boat House gives variety to Kenosha dining, the clam chowder and fish are good and that’s what they do. Other place have

Couldn’t be worse. Overpriced, watered down drinks, served by rude bartenders Greasy, lukewarm food(bad even by bar food standards) Arrogant, non responsive management — yes, you Jason Seedy clientele and overall dirty atmosphere The only thing going is the location but that is no reason to go back or go in the first place. One star for the sympathetic wait staff.

This place blows. I’ve lived down the road for ten years and have eaten here a total of three times and have came to drink about the same amount of times. The outside is a dump and the inside layout is cut into awkward sections, the décor on this inside is awful, i get its its supposed to have a nautical theme but jeez. The food is over priced and is as basic as it gets. Out of towners on their boats, love this place in the summer because it the only place around here they can park their boats and eat. They have their garbage right next to the bridge for people to smell and see all the rotting food during the summer. Not to mention, for some reason, there’s been a sylvan learning center sign chained to the fence by the dumpster for about 5 years now. Why? Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here.

Great bar food; ridiculous assortment of Long Island Iced Teas for ~$ 7.50. Service with a smile — you need to stop here for lunch or dinner!

We were in Kenosha to pick up my son from soccer camp at Carthage so we decided to stay at the Best Western not far from this restaurant and walked it. We were seated outside which was nice other than the cheap plastic patio seats. Our waitress was very good and attentive. We ordered clam chowder-very good, not the best I’ve ever had but still very tasty. The drinks were huge and served i big plastic mugs. I had the Door County-basically cherry coke with vodka. Good, not great, but it was nice I didn’t have to order two-it lasted my entire meal. My wife had fish and chips-excellent. I had the Captains Sandwich(roast beef with motz cheese and mushrooms and onions on a hoagie). It was good but very messy. My kids had grilled cheese(not good, how do u screw this up — it had a pickle flavor on it) and chicken tenders(ok). Overall very good experience-a little pricey and loud outside(I can see this place being rowdy on weekends), but good food and service.

After having lunch last Friday here I don’t expect to ever come back. As part of a large group, I did not hear one person say they really had a good meal. I had to ask for my soft drink several times before I got it. My planked Walleye meal was given to someone else by mistake — I had to wait for it to be cooked again. When everyone was finished, my platter finally arrived. It was nothing special. It should have been cooked for several more minutes. It should have been seasoned. The fries were uncooked in the middle. My coleslaw had a chunk in the middle the size of my ear. Barely edible — not worth the money at any price. I grew up eating fish in Kenosha. 3 – 4 times a week. I still like fish. What I got here was an insult to fish dinners. Service matched the mediocre food. One waitress had a big mouth and used it a lot.

I have tried this restaurant several times and have been disappointed in some way each time. The service is consistently lousy and most of the food I have ordered is terrible. I had a decent burger there before but it is definitely not good enough to put up with the yucky appetizers, stale side dishes, and slow to nonexistent service. Its beautiful location has drawn me in for another try a few times only to be disappointed again. What a shame. I will not be back.

My wife and I stopped for fish fry tonight because we thought we would give this place ONE more try. We have lived in the area for 17 years and repeatedly had bad experiences so we were hesitant They really need to use glassware for the long islands and 32oz. beer. Receiving my drink in a grayish dirty looking plastic mug is unacceptable. For what we are paying the drink deserves glassware, like at Ron’s place. We ordered boneless wings(cut chicken breasts) for an appetizer and the waitress forgot to place the order so we received them for dessert. They were rubbery and nasty, and they made NO attempt to compensate for this. The manager was a blondish elderly woman who was playing with her phone the entire time and seemed oblivious to the fact that she was working. She should be getting feedback from her customers. This place has always been sub par and tonight was more of the same. Zero stars is what it really deserves.

Food is basic, the teas are tasty and in the summer this place is very nice to be with the open deck and bar they have. I do enjoy the turkey club wrap.

This is a real nice Wisconsin bar/resturant. It has a nice outside deck area and 2 nice inside bar areas. There is a lot of seating for dining. They can handle large groups. The food is good and reasonably priced. Plenty of beers to choose from. Go for the local favorite Spotted Cow. Only downside is the appetizers. The Nachos were just ok. The chicken is. just ok. The cheese curds where way to greasy. Ask if Capt. Jason is around, nice gut.

The Boathouse is fabulous! Great food, good drinks, the service is friendly and fun. The view of the lake is a real treat. I suggest going there anytime any day. The bartenders are very personable.

My family and I went here for Easter Brunch and the service was horrible. We made a reservation almost a week in advance and when we got there they only had a booth — which would be fine but my Grandmother had a hip replacement and has a hard time getting in and out, when we kindly asked for a table the hostess told us that they only had a booth reserved for us(my Dad didn’t know he had to specify booth or table when he made the reservation… nor have we ever heard of having to specify booth or table when making a reservation) so we opted to sit at the bar until a table was ready. 35 minutes went by and three parties that came in were seated and we were still at the bar. When I asked the hostess if there was a table left she was very rude — she acted like I was burdening her with my question(I asked her when no one was around). The very nice and accommodating bartender, Aaron, apologized and suggested that we eat at the bar so we took his suggestion. Then 20 minutes later the manager asked if we would like a table and I said yes to please get us when it’s ready and I never heard from her or any servers again. The food was excellent and the gentlemen that worked the buffet were wonderfully nice… the servers and hostess however were incredibly rude — my Grandmother felt like she was burdening them because of her hip issue and my whole family(all four of us) felt like we were an inconvenience. Aaron(the bartender) even commented on how we could’ve had a poor attitude because of the situation yet we were nice about the whole thing. My rating is based on how horribly we were treated by the servers and hostess — not the food, the food was great and perfectly enjoyable.

This place is big, with a variety of sections, indoor, outdoor, and a patio with removable window panels. Visited on a warm October evening, so we sat on the open patio. The waitresses are quick to relocate any smokers, which was greatly appreciated. The fish is good, baked on a cedar plank with lemon herbs. Potato pancakes are also great. Pizza and burgers are average. Pricing is average. +Long Island Ice Tea! +Live music +Location +Lots of parking –Felt rushed out of the patio area even though we were still eating/drinking. –Smokers

This place skates by on location and drinks alone. Their Long Islands are decent, but there are better ones available elsewhere. The back, «outside» bar is nice, but really only during the summer, and they seem to be understaffed in this area, also. Service ranges from non-existent to good. Food ranges from average to awful. I’ve probably been here 25 times for business and social functions and can’t remember ever saying«That was good.» This place is badly in need of some updating, training for service staff and management who might actually care if it succeeds or not. I’d come here for drinks during the summer and eat elsewhere.

It’s tempting to go here, because this place was once good. Don’t do that. Instead, do Kenosha a favor and let the place die. Soups: The worst. A spoonful of their Chicken Noodle Soup likely contains your monthly recommended sodium intake. If you dare try it, have a slice of bread ready as a chaser. Their Clam Chowder is worse than canned Campbell’s, no idea how they managed that. Entrees: Bland fried fish– clearly, the only spice in their kitchen is salt, all of which goes into the chicken noodle soup, and nowhere else. The fries resemble the frozen type found at a grocery store, baked 5 minutes less than recommended, resulting in soggy, limp, tasteless starch. We ended up filling up on the baked potato and crab legs– the two things on the menu that require the least preparation, thus were edible. Kids: Have you ever seen a child reject Mac’n’Cheese? It happened at the Boat House. To boost, this place smells like a dungeon, so if you do not heed the warnings end up here, make sure you can sit outside.
