I don’t usually hand out 5 stars on here because I am extremely picky but this place deserves it! It’s small and cozy but everyone was friendly. I called one morning last week and the person that answered the phone just seemed so happy that I called and was truly happy to help. After I hung up the phone I told my wife that we should check it out. I’m so glad we did! The food is real food and everyone that worked there was so friendly! I did see in somebody else’s review that they compared this place to Frank’s Diner saying it was better. I say you are an idiot. Frank’s Diner is small, dirty, over priced and the staff there flat out sucks! Save yourself 3 hours and just come here for breakfast. Frank’s Diner is epitome of what happens when places think they are better than their guests. Coffee Pot, I salute you!

Great traditional diner with delicious food and outstanding service! Went for breakfast and had the Eggs Benedict and added spinach, it was great! Homemade Corned Beef Hash was delicious as well. Be forewarned, they do NOT take credit cards, cash only(they have an ATM on the premises).

Crowded but quaint. For years, since leaving California I have been on a hunt for a place that I would go back for sausage and biscuits. it’s hard when you have found the best like those are flos airport diner BUT this is the first time I’ve had biscuits and gravy where I actually liked then so much that I want to go back again.

Adorable little diner! I decided to try their«Roma Benedict», which was one of the specials of the day. It’s an Italian twist on Eggs Benedict; homemade toast topped with prosciutto, tomatoes, poached eggs, pesto hollandaise and shredded merlot — pure heaven. Their coffee is actually good; which I would never expect. It’s self-seating and pretty busy, even on a Monday. Make sure you have cash; they don’t accept credit.

Cute little diner, with great food. Ordered the percolator half plate which was huge, and consisted of eggs, sausage, onion, and jalapeño, and I added cheese. The plate also comes with homemade toast that is so delicious! Highly recommend this spot, just be prepared to wait if you go during peak breakfast hours.

The Coffee Pot is legit! I feel like the Fonz is going to walk in any minute. Lol. The food is amazing. I had the half order of the Perkolator and it’s amazing. I’m always looking for healthier options and the gluten free options are perfect.

Easily one of the best and most fresh breakfasts in Kenosha. Enjoy the old-diner style, friendly staff and high-quality food. Their homemade bread is especially good with eggs. I’ve been going for many years and I highly recommend!

I’ve been going to the Coffeepot for years whenever I come home to visit family. If you are looking for a hearty gluten free and carb free option ‘The Perkolator’ is the best. Order a full ‘perk’ with no hash browns, no toast and extra sausage. It’s great!

Where do I begin? My sisters and I decided to try this place on a whim because it looked cute and retro. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The three of us ate for about $ 25 total and we all left full. I got the Carnivore Omelette with homemade toast and hash browns. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was extremely fast and the staff was pleasant and attentive. We are from Chicago but were treated like next door neighbors. All I have to say is if you find yourself in Kenosha and want something satisfying at a reasonable price, The Coffee Pot is the place to go!

First of all, we’ve never eaten here, but if they are«dog friendly» to well behaved dogs, I’m all for’em!

Was looking for a new breakfast spot and thanks to Unilocal I found it! So I went there this Saturday and as I passed by looking for a parking spot I noticed some people waiting outside which made me think it was too busy to give it a try. So yes, it was busy but I only waited for about 30min for a table which isn’t all that bad since I’ve waited longer for other restaurants. Now here is where the experience began… as I waited the friendly hostess kept us updated as to our table availability and what not. She was very kind, friendly and attentive. This was an awesome first impression on the restaurant as thus was my first time here. Now when we got seated the exceptional service continued. As we 9rdered and had our food prepared all the staff that would come near would check up on us provided regular coffee refills. There was not one single person that took care of us as was mentioned by our hostess, «we work as a team» she said and it truly was a team effort how we were served and treated throughout. This really was what made the experience here phenomenal and I haven’t even gotten to the food part lol. Well as can be expected by my rating, the food was delicious. I ordered the buster sandwich and my mom had the omnivore omelette. Also we were gonna share a short stack of pancakes but that didn’t happen… those pancakes are massive!!! So yes, there was a lot of food take home. To my Coffee Pot crew, thanks for the awesome service and tasty food. You guys really know how to take care of your customers and that it’s very much appreciated. I’ll be coming back soon… until then, I can’t wait to share the experience with my friends.

The coffee pot is great little spot for breakfast or lunch. It’s nothing fancy. There is a long counter, a few tables and an outside patio for seating. It can can get busy on weekend mornings and waiting for a spot to sit can be a challenge with the very small entryway. Just try to do your best to stay out of the way. Service is alway nice. The food made from scratch and always good. I recommend the chili and anything on the breakfast menu. Some tips: No fries available on weekends, cash only.

I love this small diner. The staff is always nice and reliable. The food is great. They some of the most succulent delicious ham I have ever had. Always nice and tender. It can get a bit crammed in there sometimes but they do have an outside area for when the weather is nice.

This is my favorite breakfast place in town! I love Jennifer and all the staff they rock! Always smiling and filling up the coffee before it needs it! Thanks for having gluten free options without making me sick! They cook the gluten free pancakes on a nice clean grill! It’s nice being able to go out to eat!

Absolutely loved the ambience which was a mixture of people and ages. The coffee was great and the breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed the friendly staff and the sit down at the breakfast bar atmosphere. I’m not from Kenosha but I’m happy I found this place and was able to enjoy a great breakfast before heading out of town.

An ok diner in what I think is downtown Kenosha. The food was fast to arrive, but we got there about 20 – 30 minutes before the place closed so we were the last customers who came in. Pretty typical diner fare here, and the prices are good too. Seating is at a premium and it can get pretty tight. They have a counter and about 7 – 8 other tables. Luckily, everyone’s pretty friendly and easy going so you’ll probably make some new friends! The food was ok, but wasn’t anything special really. I had the«Perk”-olator, a scramble of hash browns, eggs, onions, jalapeño… I also added cheese and had them hold the sausage. It was kind of bland, to be honest. I tried adding some of the hot sauce they had – sriracha and tabasco – but I’m not really a fan of those and they didn’t improve the flavor enough for me to use them so I ate it plain. The best part of the meal was probably the toast; I didn’t have the homemade, just the wheat. But it was well-buttered and they buttered it right after it came out, so it was melted, which is a big deal for me – I don’t like butter unless it’s melted so that was actually a +1 for them. Since several of the other reviews have mentioned the very similar Franks, I’ll go on record as saying that in my opinion, Franks is better. I learned of Franks a couple weeks ago when I searched Unilocal for breakfast in Kenosha, so I’m not one of those tourists swarming in the wake of a TV appearance that other reviews seem to be looking down on. Franks may be a tighter squeeze, but the food overall is better. When we compared notes after the leaving, I found that my partner felt the same – Franks is a better breakfast, but if you miss them The Coffee Pot is an ok substitute.

The Coffee Pot is our go-to breakfast joint. If you go on a weekend when the weather is nice the place will be jammed. You have to expect a wait for a table, particularly if you’re more than a couple, and to wait for your food. That seems to surprise some of the reviewers here. There’s a reason why the place is crowded. It’s exceptionally good. Knowing this, we manage our expectations on the weekends, especially when the outdoor patio is open. We also manage our expectations during late summer when the yellowjackets(bees) want you to share your food. We are big fans of the local vegetarian eggs(for an extra buck), the specials that feature local/seasonal offerings(esp. gourmet sausages), the homemade toast, the décor, the staff, and the owners, Janis and Julie. When the patio is not open, and the inside is packed, we still get our food fast and hot, which is a testament to their organizational savvy. Sure, it’s a little longer when the patio is open, since it doubles their space, but it’s still acceptable. The only real sore point I have is the coffee, ironically enough. I wish they would offer a higher quality/grade of coffee. I don’t mean a cappuccino, just something as flavorful as it is robust for coffee snobs like myself. There are plenty of roasters in southeast Wisconsin that would love to be featured here, and it would upgrade the overall experience. I love the Salmon Benedict(sauce on the side) — poached eggs over smoked salmon on toast, garnished with fresh dill and capers. The omelets are great, and the Percolator(their version of a skillet, or scramble) is a great deal and is also delicious. I haven’t had lunch, but I’m sure the food quality is consistent all around. They won a few chili cook-offs, so that’s something I’ve been meaning to try. In the summer, they have a full bar, and on second Saturdays in the summer they open up the patio at night with music and merriment. It takes a lot of work to create someplace so special, and the Coffee Pot continues to enrich the downtown scene. In another person’s hands, the place might just rest on it’s kitschy laurels. Instead, the owners have committed to a vision of a local eatery that begins with great food and service and provides a warm and fun place to be all year round.

Quaint, retro, and homey, the Coffee Pot is a beloved Kenosha blast from the past. For me, it had big ups, some downs — but was pretty good all around. Let’s start with the bad news: the bar seats(& I normally love sitting at bars) were pretty damn uncomfortable. I have back issues, so that could get an upgrade. To be honest, their design aim is right on: retro-diner… But they really could use an overhaul. Im not in love with these tiny little places, where I’m sure on a Saturday or Sunday morning, people stand around, waiting for a seat. People lined up outside, like vagabonds. My girlfriend’s food was pretty lackluster, as well — soggy hash browns are so depressing. My food, however, was GREAT! If u order a large oj, it’s actually a LARGE oj!!! They bake their own bread — and the French toast, made with the homemade bread is out of control!!! So good! I added a side of the duck bacon, which is like ordering two thin strips of ham. Ok. At least I get to say I had duck bacon, right???
