Terrible food, place was empty. Hamburger looked like it was boiled. Waitress was wacky, just an overall bad experience. Go elsewhere!

Upon entering I noticed half the lights were off, it was dim, gnats hovering about, almost empty, and on a Saturday morning too. The only patrons were relics of a bygone era, with one foot in the grave, which should have been a warning to us. I know now that their taste buds must’ve worn out from their long years, which is the only way one can successfully eat Olive Tree food. The omelet I got was burned to a crisp, devoid of nutrients, the hashbrowns soggy, as if submerged in water for half an hour prior to serving. My girlfriend’s French toast was so spongy it could have doubled as a sham wow. We couldn’t do it, we couldn’t stomach the«food» in front of us, and this is coming from 2 army soldiers who are used to eating MRE’s. We paid and we left. Damn you, Olive Tree, damn you to the hell of bankruptcy and/or closure by the health department.

This place was the worst me and my wife and friend frequent the kenosha area and always like to try new places this one was my fault for stopping just bad over all the waitress brang us out the chicken noodle soup it tasted like they dumped a whole bag of salt into the pot and when i tried to put crackers in it they where stale, are drinking glasses had film on them so we decided to cancel the rest of the order and the waitress said that was unfair since the food was already made which it was not so me and my wife had the gyros plate and my friend the spaghetti the gyros again to much salt and so greasy my wife did not eat it they where nice enough not to charge her for her plate but i would highly not recommend this place look elsewhere

Stopped in for lunch with my mom — we were a little skeptical going in — it was very dark inside(many lights not on) and very outdated. It was very empty, too, for lunch time there were two other tables filled. That said, the food was decent. We both ordered sandwiches — decent for the super cheap prices. The fries that came with were great — super crispy and still soft in the middle. The waitress was super friendly and efficient, too.

«This place smells like bankruptcy». I basically created a Unilocal profile to warn people about this place. Run!

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Ever. It looked like a cute place as my and I walked by so we decided to get lunch. I got a beef sandwich. It was awful tasted like a frozen meal from wal mart and they didn’t carry any hot peppers to put on the sandwich. My wife got a sandwich and during the meal found a long hair in her food. We called over the waitress and told her. Her first words were«well it wasn’t mine». She said she would tell the manager. He manager never came over but the waitress said we wouldn’t be charged for the sandwich. The two things that bother me were that the manager couldn’t come over and apologize and that the waitress didn’t even apologize. Never once did someone say«were sorry for your bad experience». I’m a restaurant manager and I know that great service and and accommodations will make a customer look past a bad first experience with the food and try again, but these people had no interest in us coming back. I never will go back and I will tell everyone who asks about what happened. Just terrible.

This was three coins when I went. The food was just ok and the people in the area were like homeless or challenged. I can’t see going back when Marina garden is way better overall. Some how this coroner just keeps going.

We always avoided this restaurant because it just didn’t look like high quality, but when Frank’s Diner had a line(which it always does after 8:15 am) and we were hungry, we decided to give it a try. It was clean(otherwise we wouldn’t have even sat down). The waitress Barb seemed straight out of Mel’s Diner from the old sitcom Alice – friendly and positive and nurturing like your mother, and doing her best to make sure our coffee cups weren’t even half empty. She even offered to get me more hot water for my tea. The menu is nothing fancy – standard omelets, skillets and pancakes. We both got skillets and were pleasantly surprised with the taste. The coffee could definitely be stronger, but we’ll definitely be back on Saturdays before the Farmer’s Market right down the street. Fast, cheap, friendly, and clean.

Alright so I did try this place out after all, primarily to prove the other Unilocalers wrong and give the Olive Tree a better chance at Kenosha-wide Unilocal acknowledgment… but also partially because I broke the Unilocal review rules by reviewing the Olive Tree without actually stepping in the front doors [shhh]. Somehow I couldn’t figure out a way to give OT4 stars. Probably because it’s a bit edgy. There is always a homeless man outside(as mspink states) and it doesn’t help that the«old people home» is just a block east of here. All of the toothless, handicapped seniors roll on in here daily. The prices are ultra reasonable and honestly nothing was wrong with my food(being that I was expecting a hair in my hashbrowns or an epidemic from an imagined horror movie called«Flies»). Yet, if I’m super tight on money I may consider returning but as Ray T. says, there are too many other places that are a step up for only a $ 1 more.

The former 3 coins resturant… as a lifelong Kenoshan, you are better off going over to Frank’s(a short walk away), or Marina Gardens. Trust me on that one…

Save yourself a trip please and give the tip to a homless man outside. This place has Horrible service. Although my sandwich was good(forgot the cheese, green peppers and onions on my French dip) My waitress hung out in the booth in front of me(and my husband and 4 year old) talking with some guy. I didnt get my soup till 25 minutes later and waited for longer for a coffee was filled with Dayton folks that made my daughter scared.(I lived downtown. doesnt bother me and they cant help it) It has the same lady waitressing in there that used to own or run it. So they pretty much just changed the name. You woudl be better off hitting Marina Gardens down the block…
