Awful. We were crammed in. We waited more than an hour for food. 3 out of six meals were wrong. Food and donuts were mediocre. Won’t go back.

We checked this place out last Saturday evening and it was a great experience! We met friends that had been there before and have«their own bottle of Jameson» that is numbered and kept on a wall with lots of other bottles. It is a unique and cool cool concept. My hubby lives Jameson’s so he could not stop smiling. He drank his on the ricks while I had an Irish mule in a copper mug and made perfectly! We also order chicken wings and there are several sauces to choose from. Our friends recommended we try the donut glaze. Yes, donut glazed covered chicken wings. Sounds really weird but it works!!! With a few drops of hot sauce the are outstanding! We also had a generous basket of onion rings that were thinly sliced with a nice light crisp batter. They also gave us complimentary donuts at 6pm — nice touch. These are not your ordinary donuts. — they were dreamy glazed donuts that melted in your mouth but were topped with unique toppings such as crushed Oreos, crushed Heath, and crushed Butterfinger. We shared the donuts and had a bite of each one, very rich and quite dreamy. The bartenders were super attentive and provided great customer service. We will definitely be back! Check this place out, you will be so happy you did!

This place is one of the Mikes chain of restruants. Found out while talking to the staff he owns like 5 places in the area. Just like Captian Mikes, which we frequent for burgers, this place is quite orginal. They have a great assortment of regular and creative donuts. In fact we had lunch here and the next morning I went back for coffee and donuts. Lunch was great but there is not a whole lot to choose from. There are a few versions of a chicken sandwich but they are all great because we each tried a diffrent one. Staff is extremly freindly and helpful. I will go back again when I am in town for work.

So, I went to this spot on a Sunday night to kick back and watch the Cavs vs GS game. We walk in and the ambience is decent for a sports bar, and we proceed to the second floor where they have a deck(ok nice touch). We order a couple drinks, and as I am looking over the menu a couple next to us stated that the steaks are ½ off on Sundays after 6:30p I believe. Since I am a steak man myself, I look at the steaks section and they have a pretty decent selection. I order the NY Strip medium. Again, MEDIUM … Some time later the waitress brings us our food, and the steak looks like it was left on the grill 20 mins too long(burnt, crispy, etc.), so the young lady that I went with stated«didn’t you order a medium steak». Uhh yea !!! My first thought send this ugly a$$ steak back, but I decided to open it up and see what the inside looked like. It was what I figured it would be, not MEDIUM but more so on the well side. I took 3 bites before I gave up, and smh. I looked over at the couple next to us and their steak was the same way, and they stated it was delicious. WTH !!! The moral of this story is DONOT order steaks from this place. Also, ALL of their steaks should be ½ half all of the time with this poor quality of meat. Yes, I should have sent it back but I gave it to my friend for her dog.

Derek & Brandon are just wonderful! Derek makes the best Manhattans & Old Fashions. The wontons are lovely to to try. The club grilled, a must when you come in. WISH, they would join up and down stairs. The menus would do so well with them mixed.

Why haven’t you already jumped in your car, and zoomed over here right now? I seriously love me some chicken. No. I. really. love. me. some. chicken. Also, I am super picky about my chicken. This place has REALCHICKEN. Not chicken-esque chicken, not chicken like substances, real chicken! I am pretty sure they brine their chicken, and it is awesome. Also, they have the best side dish I didn’t even know I needed with my chicken, fancy schmancy donuts. They feature yeast style donuts, with outrageous toppings. Go early, they will run out. We always get half a dozen boxed first, and then we order our food. And then, they usually give us a free donut while we wait for our order. Yum, donuts! Excitingly, they also have booze(yay, totally need that with my fancy donuts). Try the Cookie Monster milkshake. You are welcome! Side note, we’ve visited three times, and the waitstaff is 100% fabulous every time, but someone in the kitchen is always getting our orders wrong. No worries, the milkshakes and donuts hold you over while you wait. Bottom line: We go often, early and bought the T-shirts.

Garbage, nice rooftop deck but service is horrible. Food is trying so hard to be good but just isn’t. Kenosha area with Chicago prices, what a joke. Save your money

The food here is out of this world. Of course they have Mike’s famous hand cut fries which I highly recommend as your side. Their chicken sandwiches are delicious and super filling. Donuts are unique and tasty. Definitely check out their mimosas. Insane! The only issue I have with this place is the service. Sometimes it’s great, other times it’s horribly slow. The food is worth the wait, though!

These donuts are insanely good! I’m not even a huge donut fan, but I inhale these like they were air. The dough is chewy, the icing melts in your mouth and the flavors are great. Glazed donut $ 1 Specialty donut $ 2 Pralined bacon long john $ 2.50 I haven’t tried their other foods here, so the 5 stars is strictly based on the donuts.

Facebook tries to suggest that I like a lot of things that I couldn’t care less about, such as subscriptions to yoga pants or those fancy snack boxes; however, they get it right every once in a while, especially when FB suggested that I might be interested in chicken and donuts. Yes, and yes. Our suburban brunch group usually hits up spots in Chicago, but I convinced a handful of people to join me on a road trip up to Kenosha to specifically give this place a try. I love chicken and waffles. They love chicken and waffles. Donuts and chicken seemed like it would be a good fit and something completely different. The information on Unilocal at the time was outdated. It said they don’t open until 11am, but they are actually open for breakfast at 7am and lunch service doesn’t start until 11am. We got a table at 10:30am and checked out the breakfast offerings. They looked good, but we were much more interested in lunch, so we ordered some drinks and donuts to hold us over until the turnover. I found it odd that, despite lunch being right around the corner and we were willing to wait, the waiter seemed very protective about letting us take a look at the lunch menu and was a bit forceful in insisting multiple times that it wasn’t lunch yet. We completely understood. We simply wanted to get an idea of what to order when we could. I also asked if they were serving spiked shakes at the time and he replied with, «We are, but they aren’t ½ off,» which was neither here nor there for me. I hadn’t seen anything mentioning shake specials and he didn’t bother to elaborate beyond that. It was off putting and I opted to forget the whole thing. We started off with a flight of donuts to share. I ordered the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup but thought the Maple Bacon Long John was the best. I also tried the Cherry Coconut and that was good, too. Their donuts are nice and dense while still being somewhat fluffy. They were understaffed while we were there, so our waiter had to pop in back to help the kitchen out. We were ready to order but waited until another server came around. We went with an order of the Thigh High Nachos and Spicy Chicken Wontons to split. The Thigh High Nachos were fantastic and more than enough for our table of 5. The Spicy Chicken Wontons were equally tasty but better to be divided by 2 – 3 people, in my opinion. My main course was the Honey Butter Fried Thighs and it was not at all what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had in my head this idea that it would be whole, bone-in thighs. What I got was closer to something between nuggets and strips. The chicken was tender, the batter was fried to perfection, and the honey butter added an extra element that was divine. Coming in small pieces made it perfect for dipping in various sauces. All of the sauces and rubs we asked for were good. One of the orders was messed up and not at all what was asked for, so it was redone and we weren’t charged for it. We needed to keep asking for small items that were forgotten, but they were prompt about fixing any issues we brought to their attention. If I come back, I think I’ve got a good game plan. I will not show up until 11am to avoid any awkwardness, unless I decide I do want breakfast. I’ll order the Long John and skip the other donuts. And while I did enjoy the Waffle Fries, I will simply upgrade my order to the Mac N Cheese because it was everything I wanted. Heck, I may even order 2 sides of Mac N Cheese.

Had breakfast and took donuts home from here. Staff was friendly and the biscuit sandwiches were on point! My husband had the fresh squeezed orange juice and he loved it. They had a great selection of donuts and they were super yummy had the Reese’s peanut butter cup and vanilla glazed. Yum! definitely want to come back and have lunch/a drink here!

Minus the confusing layout of the dining establishment — three to one, and you cannot order downstairs food if upstairs and vice versa — mikes chicken has great food for a great price. Potato fries are well seasoned authentic hand cut potatoes. Excellent. Chicken sandwich also as tasty. Barbecue sauce was like a sharper version of sweet baby rays

While in Kenosha for my son’s hockey game, we decided to try Mike’s Donuts & Chicken for dinner. I had the Bleu Buffalo chicken sandwich on a biscuit, my husband had the honey buttered fried chicken thighs and our hungry hockey playing son got a burger, a side of mac & cheese, an order of biscuits and a caramel shake. We all really enjoyed our food and look forward to the next time we are in Kenosha so we can visit Mike’s again. They also have a nice bar and a REALLY impressive beer menu. My husband wants to go back to revisit that! The only disappointment was that we wanted to bring home a dozen donuts but when we visited at dinner time the pickings were slim. There was nothing unique that we would consider paying $ 2+ per donut for, so we skipped the donuts this time.

Wanted to try a new spot today so I decided to cruise around Unilocal… Sooooo glad I did and came across this spot… Umm, hello!!! It’s chicken and donuts, that right there was enough to make me drive from Milwaukee to Kenosha :) It was later in the day so I did missed out on most of the donuts but I got to try the thin mints and the cyclops(both were amazing) to go along with that, a strawberry shake. yummo!!! I also grabbed some food as well on top of the sweet treats. I had the classic which was just a fried chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries, it was good but could’ve been better in my opinion. So, if you’re ever in Kenosha, definitely give them a try, also be sure to check out the bar section as well… Helllloooooo wall of Jameson :)

Great beer selection, fun bar and a fun idea! We made a pretty quick stop in here a little before close on a Sunday. The server was pretty quick and helpful and we were one of 2 groups in the donut section so seating was wide open. The donuts are maybe a little pricey at $ 2.50 for the praline long john and $ 2 for normal«specialty» donuts(naked is less). That said — the food prices are reasonable and you get a pretty good amount for the price. I ordered the honey butter chicken and it was a nice heap of fried chicken tenders covered in a bath of warm honey. The chicken was pretty good, but the sweet/creamy flavor didn’t come through as much as at Honey Butter Chicken(to be fair, it is their whole schtick). The waffle fries were well seasoned and a nice sized meal overall. I wanted to order a side of mac ‘n cheese, but after eating I was glad I didn’t. My beer was a pretty fat pour of one of the many great drafts here. Prices were reasonable and selection was excellent. Get there early if you want any of the real fancy donuts — apparently they sell out quick(though there was a reasonable selection left at close). Idea if Uncle Mike is listening — bring the donuts over to the other bar and offer a free donut with your first drink or first $ 5 spent(if that is legal/plausible) — good incentive and a nice way to reduce some extras. I’m definitely curious to stop back in and try the chicken donut ’cause — well just ’cause. I also want to try the other chicken sandwiches and get a little more intimate with a donut more ‘special’ than the chocolate glazed and lucky charms donut that I went with.

1. Get water and silverware 2. Prepare for a long wait for your food(2 people, 1 appetizer and 2 meals took 1:25) 3. Wings disappointment(not pictured) You should be able to enjoy chicken wings with or without sauce. No detectable seasoning. Terrible sauces made it worse. 4. Under staffed or inexperienced staff. Three tables had to ask for silverware. One table, patron received wrong meal which was returned and ended up a few minutes later at the next table. Pickle brined legs with doughnut were good. Donuts were a huge disappointment Honey butter thighs were good Train wreck. Needs solid management or any management! We’ll return in 6 months if it’s still open. Reviewed on a Sunday at lunch. The restaurant was full and no waiting.

My friend brought my here since she knows I love donuts and fried chicken. The wait was ridiculous on a Friday evening. It’s first come first serve so basically you have to keep your eye on all the tables to guess who will finish first and then stand awkwardly next to them until they leave. My friend said the other time she went, it was a weekday and not crowded at all. While waiting for a table, I bought some donuts to take home. They’re super sweet so I couldn’t eat more than half at a time. When my friend and I finally got an open table, we had to wait until one of the wait staff cleaned it but no one came to clean it until we asked. Once we sat down, no one came by to give us water or check on us for roughly 20 minutes. Once again we had to flag someone down.(None of the wait staff seemed apologetic for continually walking past us as if we didn’t exist.) He took our orders and told us it would take 45 minutes for the food. It did take that long to get our food. We were starving by then. I had the honey butter fried chicken thighs with a side of waffle fries. The chicken was overly salty and came in weird little pieces. The waffle fries were soggy and could’ve used more salt. You can guess how long it took us to get our check/pay. My friend ordered the chicken & donuts appetizer and mac n cheese. I personally think chicken and donuts is a weird combination. It was a chicken leg sitting in the hole of each donut. Not sure if they’re meant to be eaten together in one bite or separately??? My friend ate them separately. The mac n cheese was good though. Super cheesy & creamy. A pretty large portion for a side. There are so many other restaurants in Illinois that I can eat at. No need to drive 45 minutes for mediocre food and crappy service.

The donuts are delicious with options being random depending on the day. My most favorite is the nerd cyclops which I wish would magically appear in my kitchen in Chicago EVERYDAY. The bacon donut is also VERY yummy! Its like eating pancakes with bacon and maple syrup all in one bite without the mess; but still sticky. I will be bringing people here from the city as often as I can! I don’t eat chicken so I can comment on that part of this place hahaha!
