This is definitely a place to stop by for lunch if you heading for a stroll by the lake. The hotdogs here are delisch… they do tend to get busy but everything is made to order and if you want good food, it’s worth waiting for. Customer service is great… they always make sure you get what you ordered. Stop in sometime and get yourself a bacon dog!!!

This year they got together with a gyro place and their good has gotten better. Joe, the owner, tried since different fries and corn dogs, I think he now has a solid vendor for both. I only with they still had fritos for the johnny bravo. Great staff, decent food. Solid family restaurant from a local retired accountant!

We came here before catching the Metra. We had a girl cashier and she was very helpful and friendly. It was $ 20 for the 4 of us. My youngest added everything under the sun to her dog. I went with the Chicago dog and my hubby had the bacon wrapped dog. All were ok. The fries were fresh. My oldest opted for cheese fries with the hand cut fries. There is a nice view of the trolley from the windows.

Been wanting to try this place. Sorry I did. Very disappointed in the Chicago Dogs. $ 10 for 2 dogs and a pop, no fries even. The atmosphere was nothing to remember. The service was mostly poor on top of everything. Won’t be back.

This place probably has the best dog I’ve had outside of the Chicagoland area. The dogs are consistently good. Their fries are decent but I have found them to be not so consistent.

After hearing wonderful things about this place I decided to stop in for lunch. The hot dog itself wasn’t anything special. The chili on top of it was bland and tasteless. The fries were under cooked. I am amazed that this place is as popular as it is. Will not be going back again.

This joint is all over the place… Everything is hit or miss depending on the day. I usually only visit in the summer. Nothing says it’s summer quite like a Chicago Dog! It’s been really great some days. Then I’ll go back and the fries are soggy, Chicago dogs look like someone gave it a Supafly Jimmy Snooka off the top rope. It’ll be a hot mess. I’ll keep going back because the good outweighs the bad, but more consistency would be great.

Exceptional food just like back in the day. Very good atmosphere. My 2 ½ year old nephew just loved the trolley, he wanted to know how it got so high up. Fun place to eat.

The hot dogs at this hot dog place was below average but not the absolute. I got a cheese dog and I honestly don’t know how you can’t make a cheese dog less than average but they managed it. The fries were way overcooked and very stiff. But the true horrible aspect of this place was the service. The clerk was trying to be funny but ended up just being mean and made everyone very uncomfortable. This isn’t ed debevics where you go there to be insulted for fun. I mean I appreciate that he was trying to entertain but he wasnt funny and didnt know when to stop. This wasnt just for my party either it was for everyone and what he said to others just made me uncomfortable and no one laughed. Im just saying plz be prepared for being insulted if you go there while eating below average food.

While the Hot Dogs were«OK» compared to what I have when I use to live in Chicago, they are a bit pricey. Also don’t bother with the Corn Dogs. I ordered a couple of times and while they deep fry it and it looks cooked, the inside hot dog itself is frozen. They may want to thaw them or something, if the folks at carnivals can get it right, why cant’ t they?

OK if you are eating here do not expect it to be healthy… but man it tastes so good. They have the Trolly Dog that is basically a burrito inside of a hot dog. One thing is for sure… you will not leave hungry… although your cholesterol maybe a few points higher. I love the saying that they are Cheap and filling and… OHHH they taste so good.

For being in Wisconsin this establishment has Chicago style hot dogs DOWN! Do not hesitate for one moment as you will NOT be disappointed in the least. Not only are the hot dogs awesome, the very cool people that work here dots the i’s and crosses the t’s on an excellent experience for a short order place. They take excellent service to a whole new level for this kind of place. If you are ever in the area, Trolley Dogs is a must stop for a quick meal!

Typical little street corner Chicago hot dog stand. but wait. its Kenosha, Wisconsin. so after looking for anything resembling an Italian Beef sandwhich in this town. I found it! It was pretty dam good too. if your from Chicago you know what to expect when you walk in. this isn’t your«welcome to pleasantville» kinda joint but, that’s the way it is back home! Oh yeah. and they have RC Cola and Green River!

a typical Chicago style hot dog shop, charming tacky artwork and a train runs above the dining area, workers who make kids dog balloons as you wait for your food — fun dining experience! Corn dogs are good and the bacon wrapped hot dog is amazing!!!

Took my boys here after a great day in downtown Kenosha and then down by the water. This place is a perfect spot for a slow, lazy day or a quick lunch. They have a fun train on a shelf that circles above the small diner, great views from every table right on the water, and the service was friendly. Between us boys we had a Chicago Dog, Italian Dog(kind of like a hot pocket with extra cheese), and a Corn Dog. All XL Vienna dogs came with fresh ingredients and piping hot(the Italian Dog was the temperature of the sun!). While we waited for them to cool off, we watched the train above, the trolley outside, and enjoyed the fries. This food is hard on your system, but hey, we were on vacation

I want to like this place so much. It’s so frickin’ cute. But their corn dogs are so plump that the inside of the hot dog doesn’t get cooked fully, and none of the other great aspects of Trolley Dogs, separately or combined, compensate for a cold-centered corn dog. My boyf, a corn dog connoseuir, has had a not fully-cooked on three occasions. I was present for the third and most recent occasion. «Have you told the folks who work here that your corn dog was cold?» I asked as we sipped our regular and diet fountain Dr. Peppers and finished our fries. He said no, because he didn’t want to be «that guy.» I’m much more okay with being«that guy» than he is, especially since I do not live in town, but I thought I’d let ‘em know through the medium of a Unilocal review first.

I visited Kenosha for the first time this weekend and after the storms turned the 90 minute drive into a four hour trip through northern Illinois, we were ready for some lunch. We arrived at 11:30 on a Monday and the place was empty, most of downtown Kenosha was so it wasn’t a knock against the restaurant. I ordered the hot dog with bacon(I think it was called a Bacon Dog). They carry Vienna beef dogs and I have never had one I didn’t like. The dog was good, the bacon didn’t change it up too much and and condiments added to the taste. The fries were great and I had RC to drink. It isn’t everyday you walk into a place and get RC. Most places have Coke, some carry Pepsi, but RC, you never see that. The decorating is simple and there are the usual Vienna beef hot dog posters on the wall(I always look for the one where the giant hot dog is on Lake Michigan in Chicago and the tug boat is dragging out the giant tomato). Generally, all hot dog places are the same, some just do it better than others. Trolley Dogs is one of them, and will guarantee a repeat visit next time I am in Kenosha.
