They have the best burgers, root beers and malts! The food is so fresh and delicious! The only con is that the prices are kind of high. When I order for my husband, my children and I its always around $ 30 which is nuts for 4 burgera and rootbeer. But quality over quantity has always been my motto!

Decent burger, but service was horrible. Extremely slow and served with a frown. A smile and a little friendliness goes a long way in the customer service business. On the day I went, at least 3 cars left because food was taking over 20 minutes. It’s burgers. No excuse for that. Have a feeling this place lives on its past, but may be in danger of being on its way out

Live close by. I eat there when I’m super hungry and don’t want to worry about going somewhere else. The servers are melancholy and the food is average. Their prices have gone through the roof over the past few years and the servings have gotten smaller. I understand why they do this, but for the money I pay, I’d expect a smile here and there and some food specials or something. If you like double bacon cheeseburgers, they’re good. Everything else is run of the mill frozen & deep fried.

Omg food network please come and do a episode on this gem of a drive in. The food is superb, absolutely delicious bacon cheese burger and you don’t even have to leave your vehicle to order, hence the drive in, no typical fast food chain can even come close to this quality, a must for any burger enthusiast.

The spot is my preferred Kenosha drive-in when compared to Big Star. I think The Spot’s food is much less greasy(but much more delicious) than Big Star. Love the classic drive up service that you can get still at The Spot — not many places have continued this tradition!

The Spot has always had excellent food. I would say they have the best onion rings in town(crispy) and their floats and shakes are great. They get 4 stars in my book because as good as the food it… man it is very expensive. I had 2 double cheese burgers an order of fries and a root beer and it came to almost 20.00 with tip. That is expensive or maybe I just eat too much.

Great if you’re looking for a super greasy burger(that’s not necessarily a bad thing), and they’re open very late into the night. The Spot has been around so long that it’s practically an icon of Kenosha, my parents and even grandparents have been here throughout the years. The hamburgers are simple, unhealthy, and good. They’re all I order so I can’t speak for some of the other menu options. It’s not a place that serves high-end beef or an artisan burger, it’s a place that serves quick food that you can eat in your car and be on your way. The Spot feels like how the world was before the drive-thru fast-food places really existed. It feels like being teleported back in time, to the slower days. Again, I’m definitely not complaining. Other notes would be that they only accept cash(but have an on-site ATM), their root beer is great and would highly recommend it(I’m personally not a root beer drinker unless I go to The Spot), and that they stay open year-round(unlike other drive-ins). Many people prefer Big Star over The Spot. Usually because this place is considered more expensive. In my book The Spot wins every time.

Good burgers. Go if you are in the area. Pros: Delicious burgers, although a bit simple. The toppings are not extravagant. But if what you are looking for is a good old American hamburger, The Spot will not disappoint you. Also, they have a pretty elaborate menu with lots of sides. I only tried their Dbl. cheeseburger and fries. Liked em both! Cons: a bit of drive from the highway.

The Spot absolutely hit the spot!!! A friend has been telling me about this drive-in since I started dating my boyfriend from Kenosha. We finally went there and I loved it!!! We had double cheeseburgers which were pipping hot with gooey melted cheese that were great!!! I had onion rings which were great too and BF had fries that were just ok. We both really enjoyed the homemade root beer. The service was good too! Overall it was a great experience, we will definitely go back!!!

I have been going to The Spot ever since I was a kid. It’s the best drive-in in Kenosha! Love the cheeseburgers, fries & root beer. And top it all off with a banana malt! The service is great too. There is nothing healthy on the menu but everything is so good! Highly recommend!

I was very disappointed with this place. Based on the reviews and website I was expecting a very 1950s drive in that really hyped up the theme. However, that was not the experience I received at The Spot Drive-In. Basically it is an over priced hamburger place. The building was very run down and needed a good paint job. The waitresses looked miserable and were very bland. When I think of a drive in I think of peppy waitresses on coming out to get your order. We waited a good 20 mins for them to come which was a little long, but it was busy so i can forgive that, however, the complete lack of enthusiasm from the waitress really bummed me out and did not contribute to a unique experience. I got a regular burger and the root beer float. The root beer float was tasty, but not worth the price. I’ve had much, much better burgers at other places for the same price but they included fries. The cherry on top was the waitress never came back to get our tray and dishes. We waited fifteen minutes and watched her go up to other cars. We even tried to flag her down, but she was so consumed by her misery she didn’t even notice us. Eventually we decided we weren’t going to wait and dropped the dishes off on one of the outside tables(it wasn’t like we didn’t pay but a person can only wait so long). I love the concept, but the execution was terrible. Perhaps I was so disappointed because I was expecting something completely different after hearing it was a «must see». But I won’t be back.

The double bacon and cheese here is delicious! One of the few places that aren’t stingy on bacon.

Wisconsin sure knows how to make bad-for-you food taste SOGOOD! The boyfriend and I decided to check out The Spot Drive-In with our two dogs on a warm Sunday. We pulled up and were greeted immediately. Based on our server’s recommendations we tried a cheeseburger, fries, fried chicken wings, cheese squares, fried green beans and root beer. The burger was simple(just how I like it) and really hit the spot. Juicy meat and melty cheese. just perfect when you want a nice greasy burger. The fries were the only unimpressive part of the meal – next time I’ll definitely order something else like onion rings. All of the fried items(cheese squares, green beans, chicken wings) were done perfectly! The cheese squares are like cheese curds but reminded me more of a grilled cheese sandwich. Yum! The green beans had a great crunch and made me feel a little less guilty since they were vegetables… And finally, the star of the meal were the wings. Probably the best fried chicken wings I’ve had. Will definitely return to The Spot again. After I detox my body from all the deep fried goodness.

Ok there is nothing healthy on the menu here so if you’re looking for low calorie foods or salads move on. This is a drive in that offers great service at great prices. Note: It’s cash only. But the food is great and so is the home made root beer. You get a great meal for your moneys worth. Great burgers! I had a chicken sandwich also with their special sauce and it was very good. I’ll definitely be back again someday!

A staple in K-Town. Fantastic greasy burgers with just the right amount of ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheese all between to warm buns. Excuse my food wood, but wash it down with a strawberry shake. Don’t come here if your counting calories and just enjoy it.

Talking about The Spot creates warm fuzzies in Dominic P’s heart. References of this place usually come right along with references of Carthage College and being drunk. I like drunk food, and I’ve heard the cheese curds are good, so we stopped at the Spot one afternoon in Kenosha. Driving up it’s like, «oh man, this is it?» and then you read the billboard-like menu and sound like a real city slicker when asking questions like, «where do I order?» and«do you take debit cards?» and«how do I get this tray off of my damn window?» The Spot is small town, baby. It’s cash only, but they have an ATM. Park your car, and eventually the lady will come and take your order. Honk your horn when you’re finished, and they will come take the tray. I almost thought Dominic P was screwing with me about the honk your horn part. «That’s kind of obnoxious,» I said. He told me that at night, you flash your lights. Okay, I guess that’s a little less obnoxious. Anyway, The Spot definitely holds up to its reputation for good drunk food, even though I had just driven a car for an hour and had nothing more toxic in me than some good ol’ root beer. I almost had a panic attack when I DIDN’T see cheese curds on the menu. Oh yeah, they’re called ‘cheese squares’ at The Spot. They are sort of cube shaped, and they’re unlike any other cheese curds. Instead of being stringy, stretchy, squeaky cheese; The Spot’s squares/curds are creamy with a tangy cheddar flavor, almost like Velveeta. Before you get grossed out at the reference to the cheesy V, think about it being deep fried in tiny little cubes. Mmm. I also had a chicken sandwich. The food here is straightforward, they don’t fuck around with toppings. The chicken was a fried filet which overtook the bun. There’s some«bistro sauce» which is like a spicy mayo, but the sandwich was pretty dry and needed much more sauce than a bistro could contain. My food was good. It’s simple, straightforward, diner food at a drive-in. I like the no fuss approach. But damn, I really hate those trays. Within seconds of her latching it onto my window, almost all of our food and drinks spilled to the ground. The root beer is served in a heavy glass mug which weighed down half of the tray. Be careful!

I dream about the turtle sundaes at The Spot — amazing! They are giant and gooey and perfect! Everything else at The Spot pales in comparison in my opinion. The food is fine(I like the corn dogs best) and it’s fun to have your food brought to your car(The Spot has more character than Sonic for sure!), but really it’s all about the ice cream at The Spot. I guarantee that it will ruin you for turtle sundaes made by anyone else.

This is truly the low down– This place is proper. If you know about crispy edges, soft buns, and minimal toppings? You know what I’m saying. This place, this tiny little drive in — «The Spot» It belongs in the museum of hamburger awesomeness– with Krekel’s, along side White Manna, and«Just Hamburgers!» A minority of fans will interpret this review, and make their way to «The Spot” — they know the words I speak, they appreciate the art of a hamburger that doesn’t contain a ½ lb of beef– the mixture of minimal ingredients masterfully combined is a destination for anyone who is an apostle of George Motz.
