Pretty good food. My opinion is that the drinks are overpriced, but whatever. It has a good atmosphere and good service usually so I’m not complaining. Only 3 stars cause it’s predictably good, but nothing super. A popular bar/restaurant in town. I don’t hit it too much anymore, I like the slower paced bars and restaurants. Guess I’m getting old.

Drink was ~$ 6 – 7. It had six shots in it. That’s all you need to know. Also, food was good.

Love this place! I didn’t enjoy Long Islands until I came here. Great selection of drinks. Really great staff. Try the fried veggie basket, you won’t be disappointed!

Obviously the bar staff needs professional training on the laws of over serving their patrons or on the ability to recognize when a person has already been impaired! Today the bartenders were called and warned in advance that a particular person that was extremely intoxicated was in their establishment and told not to serve him. I gave a name and a very distinct description of this person. One minute later I received a phone call that not only was he there but he had been served a Long Island ice tea with, if made properly 5 shots of alcohol. Upon my arrival and my outbursts of the bartenders incompetence this said person was not able to walk out on his own. If I didn’t think quickly and take keys, this person may have gotten behind the wheel and drove to what could have been the dismay of himself and possibly another person or persons! It is the responsibility of a professional bartender to have the ability to know when to serve alcohol and when to suggest water! DRAMSHOPLAWSSUGGESTTHATTHELASTBUSINESSTOSERVEALCOHOLBEHELDRESPONSIBLEIFTHISPERSONINANYWAYCAUSESHARMAFTERLEAVINGSAIDESTABLISHMENT!!! Bartenders have a responsibility to their clientele. Laws are made to protect the profession and to protect the guest. Today was unacceptable!!!

A surprisingly great dive bar. I go for the food and it is delicious. The prices are reasonable, the burgers are fresh and tasty, and they have a huge menu. If I had to pick a burger to eat in Kenosha I would choose Ron’s Place hands down. The wait times can be longer than most people would like, but this place is almost always busy and it’s understandable. Drinks come in huge mugs that are satisfying to hold. Waitstaff is friendly but rushed, you have to remember that you’re at a bar. The place has an old feel to it(like most local bars and restaurants in the city), but it’s an overall clean place to eat at.

So my girlfriend and I just came to Ron’s place and ended up waiting for about 20 min. We pretty much had no where to stand and were hovering over 2 booths. We have been here before. the food is great but the service has never been good. One waitress told us to sit at a table that was reserved. We didn’t even get to look at the menu and some fucking douche says«oh hey sorry we are sitting at this table» The dumb waitresses were not resolving anything and didn’t even apologize to us. I just walked out and told the guy«don’t worry. We are leaving. You can have your table.» waitresses didn’t even approach us either. There were dirty tables that weren’t cleaned for 10 minutes and they still had us wait. No one attended the table nor cleaned. Horrible customer service. The only reason they are open is because the food but they don’t care about their customers. What a shame.

Best long islands in town! I don’t go out very often but it’s a good atmosphere and the long islands are the best, so many flavors to try, and haven’t been disappointed yet!

Really great burger and the price was amazing. Could use some new décor but i wouldn’t let that differ me from this place again.

Amazing. I was in the area for a few weeks for work and all the locals kept telling me about this place. I’m glad I made a trip out here. I had a walleye sandwhich which was perfect. I had great service and you can’t forget their 40 different long island ice teams! I had the Ron’s relaxer not as strong as the others but still good stuff. Everyone was excellent and the price was great as well.

Awesome dive bar! Tour of Long Islands will continue soon! Tried the Loony Toones and it tasted good and was cheap. We also ordered appetizers and I would suggest the mozzarella sticks and broccoli and cheese nuggets. Everyone ordered burgers for dinner and it was pretty silent during the meal. Silence is always a good sign :-) I will order the black angus burger again. Thank goodness we had a DD because we all felt good after 1 drink but pushed on to a 2nd and some had a 3rd drink.

Ron’s Place is another one of those spots that Dominic P reminisces about along with his college days. This place is a dive, about to burst at the seams with locals on a Friday night. Ron’s isn’t out to impress or dazzle, and it doesn’t have to. It’s a friend’s basement meets dive bar, serving up enormous Long Island iced teas in a variety of flavors, and cheap, greasy, satisfying food. On a Friday night around 7:00 p.m., we were quoted a 40 minute wait. We then went downstairs(watch your head!) and found a table immediately. Tables are no-frills, with banquet-style chairs. If ambiance is really important(and it shouldn’t be if you’re here in the first place), then I suppose you will want to remain seated upstairs. He insisted that anyone can only have one Long Island here, so my knee jerk reaction was to dismiss this and insist that I could easily drink two. I got through about one and a half before I felt like I was going to die — but mostly because we ate SO. MUCH. FOOD. Together we shared 2 Long Islands: Cherry Berry, Hawaiian Punch, and Tropical. The Cherry Berry was by far the best one with a tart cherry flavor that perfectly masked any alcohol. The Tropical was my least favorite. I liked the idea of watermelon, but the flavors didn’t really work. We ordered the Italian Fries, which is like deep fried phyllo dough, and the cheese curds. Both were so much better than I expected. This alone is a ton of food, so I don’t know why, but we then ordered a burger & fries on top of this. My burger was OK, but it wasn’t really anything special. My visit to Ron’s wasn’t life-changing, but those Long Islands are awesome. For 3 massive drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 burgers with fries… we paid a measly $ 40 – 45.

Great joint just off 94W to 158E. If you are a fan of the Long Island beverage, this is your place. Great atmosphere!(Wish the jukebox was a little louder) Went with Ron’s Relaxer & the traditional Long Island. Excellent! Plus for 5 bucks you can keep the lovely mug, which might be considered a weapon in some states… Great food as well. Had the 5×5 burger. Always packed and for good reason. Expect a 30 – 45 minute wait at peak hours, if your planning to eat at a table. But heh that’s what the bar is for… Upstairs and downstairs. Reasonably priced too! This is true Midwest Americana. I highly recommend making a stop at Ron’s! It’s a must.

This place is always busy, so we thought we’d try it out. It’s not a big place, so we came out smelling like I sat on the grill. Moderate seating, booths or at the bar. We ordered a few of the 5×5 burgers. Unfortunately, for«medium well», all of the burgers had cool pink, one was borderline raw. The fries are ok. The curly fries(+$ 1) were nothing special. Perhaps cheese nuggets would’ve been a better option. I have a big issue with itemized toppings. Charging 30cents for tomato, onion… forget it! Friendly staff. Good parking. Overall, if my favorite burger place has a 3hr wait, I’d get a salad before choosing to eat the burgers from Ron’s again.

This place is fantastic. The girls behind the bar are so friendly. Marge was our waitress and she so in her game! This place is busy and clearly had a lot of regulars. She was helpful in making drink decision… they have a TON of long island ice tea flavors. I wish this was in my home town but we are just visiting from Texas.

Whenever we come back to kenosha we go to the same places but needed to do something new. Although Rons has been around I never visited… and I have been missing out. Pickles are my favorite food and having them right on the table might have been the best part of the meal. Well that and the fabulous burgers, Italian fries, lasagna rolls, and poppers. Top it off with a giant mug root beer and life is good.

This place is great! If you love big burgers, and I know you do head over to Ron’s Place! The food is fresh, service is friendly and fast and to top it all off they have HUGE, tasty Long Islands in about a dozen flavors or more. Definitely, a good spot to hit with friends but it is not designed for a crowd. Don’t let the look of the place fool you, they are putting out some very good grub!

There aren’t enough positive things to be said about Ron’s Place. After I left college, I still made a point to travel here regularly from Chicago to partake in some of the best burgers in the Midwest, some of the tastiest and most imaginative Long Island creations, and some incredible fried appetizers. The servers are always friendly and the atmosphere always allows for fun. To wrap up my review, I’d only ask why you’re still reading this and not currently making your way to Ron’s Place in Kenosha.

We came here from Chicago just for a change of pace and loved this place. First, when you walk in this is the perfect dive bar. Everyone is very friendly and cool here. The place is not that big so we waited for a table. We later learned that there is a downstairs with more seats and another bar. We ordered teas, I have the bada bing(i think) it was like cherry soda tea. It was okay, too much grenadine for me but it was okay. I ordered two teas and a jack and coke, i dont remember what it costs but i got change from a $ 20. Now being from Chicago, i almost fell over at how cheap it was. We ordered the Italian fries, which I thought i was going to hate and they were as good as the hype. I actually saw someone at the bar eating them and i was like they look awful. But thankfully my friends wanted to try them anyways, and they were amazing!(i probably use that word more than any other in my reviews). Also got cheese sticks and cheese curds, which were both good. I forgot which burger i got and i cant find a menu online but it had thousand island dressing on it. I think it was a double 5×5 that came with curly fries. I didnt finish it but man was it good. loved the vibe and the music coming from the jukebox was great. I loved this place, i wish Chicago had more places like this. I cant wait to go back.
