Less items slow service, naans are not that great. Staff will be busy in biryani and others orders to go. der buffer is just for name same better places in this area than this. forgot to say no proper ventilation.

My fellow food lovers, reason I gave this place 1 star is because I love food and they carry it so to appreciate their effort. I ordered an egg biryani at the restaurant and I must say I regret the taste, although I don’t know about other food items, may be they are decent. The masala was over salted and spicy on the upper edge. If you are a Biryani person I recommend 2 places nearby, Biryaniz(new) tastes better but less material in biryani or Paradise biryani. I hope these guys get better with taste

This place has been shut down by the health department. Sign on door says«closed for maintenance,» which is right next to the health department sign.

Ate here twice so far. Some of the offshore staff at the client office from India love this place. some if them are from the south, some from the north. 1st time in mid April: We ordered take out and shared family style. It was good but very spicy. I like medium heat, Nd even a couple of the guys like it hot, but even they said some of the dishes were on the hotter side than what they expected. Most of us had to put yogurt on our food. All great dishes: Vijayawada Chicken Biriyani — Spicy Veg Biriyani Mushroom Mutter — SPICY! Sides: Naan Yogurt condiment on the side 2nd time yesterday: + Kadai Chicken — medium spicy, maybe a small notch spicier than what I prefer, but it was great. Perfectly cooked chicken with onions, bell pepper and carrots in a thick dark gravy curry sauce. You can order with naan or rice, I opted for naan. + naan bread is awesome fresh + Butter Chicken — creamy goodness. I tasted a few bites of someone else’s dish since my Kadai dish took forever to come out. + Palak Paneer Biryani — lots of basmati rice on top of yummy tofu with sauce. Could have been saucier and less rice, in my opinion. The biryanis are $ 10 – 12?, they could at least put more of the protein in it than rice. One of the guys LOVES goat biryani and he always orders this here. One of the gals ordered a dosa dish. I love dosa, so i may order that next time. Portions are big. If there are 8 of you and you order take out, you can easily do just 7 and share family style. Always lots of seating. We came with 10 people and we got a table easily. The menu needs to be updated, both their printed menu dining in, and from Unilocal app. There are no Combo lunches( Unilocal app says 10% discount on combos), and there is no lunch buffets either!, unless its only on certain days. I cant say its my favorite spot but i do like the food. Lots of options on the menu, even if its outdated.

Horrible place — worst food I had in years. Wanted to eat chicken tandoori from few days and ordered it from these guys for the first time. Chicken was burnt completely — just like bunch of pieces of burnt charcoal. Such a waste of time — I waited 40 mins to get tandoori chicken made. What a mess … Lol

Good service, poor buffet. Ran out of food. May give it one more try if others want to go there. Clean the windows! I hate to leave less than pleasant reviews but this was my expereince.

I absolutely love indian food and they definitely satisfied my craving! The flavors were perfect. I would definitely reccomend coming here. Also, the servings are huge and now have lunch for tomorrow.

I use to visit this restaurant when I moved to Dublin but due its poor state of service I had stopped going here. I again tried it this year hoping to see improvements. Staff has changed. Sadly, quality of service continue to be below standards. I was about to leave but since they had Mixed Veg curry which appeared delicious; I decided to stay. Food quality is okay but I had to wait for Dosa forever. I reminded them for Dosa but still they managed to miss it. Unfortunately, they haven’t figured it out yet. Desert choices are very limited. Soup and Vegetables were acceptable. Guys, Thanks for feeding me but there is room for improvement to sustain. Good luck!

Ordered Vijayawada Dum Biryani to go based on reviews on this item. Boy! Was it really bad. Stale chicken. Chicken pieces were totally coated with heavy RED color and they are clearly not«DUM» biryani pieces. They are leftover chicken tandoori left over pieces mixed with basmati rice. Really Disappointed as it is no where near the Dum biryani. Service slow, very bad. If dining in, have to call them often to refill glasses(which are btw, always dirty). Couple of times, we went on weekdays for dinner around 7pm(which is not that late), we were told«Naan not available». Also most of items on menu are«not available». Only reason we had to eat there was we were very tired to drive/go to any other restaurant. Everytime, I see random people from kitchen just walking past talking loudly on their cell phones. Saw owners too talking loudly over their phones, having stand up meetings right where customers are eating. NO regard for customers eating there. And that loud music really gives us headache. This is issue with most of Indian Restaurants in bay area where they take customers for granted. Why can’t they serve good, fresh food for the money charging for those food items? Not going there anymore!

I revisited the restaurant again recently because I was at Trader Joes next door and had a craving for Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised, food was good, redecorated interior, staff was ok. I think it’s great when restaurants work at improvement and wanted to acknowledge that.

I don’t even understand how they run the business. We did a to go order for 3 items. They said it will be ready in 40 min. When we reached in 40 min, Resturant is completely empty on Sunday. No rush but we were made to wait another 30 min just for 3 biryani. 1.15 hr for making an order? This is how they take customer order? Probably I need to order a day before stay in line one night like BLACKFRIDAY to it delivered.

I like all the ‘Ulavacharu’ biryanis here. They will ruin the quality & taste if you order in bulk. I would prefer ordering in numbers than a bulk order.

Sloooow service in an empty restaurant, flying bugs, dirty plate that I asked to replace. Server took it back and forgot to bring me another one for about 10 minutes until I reminded her. I was with two other people & was tempted to leave but forced myself to stay because I don’t like to leave restaurants after being seated but this one came very close to me breaking my own rule. Had Chicken Corn soup and Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani. Food was ok, but will never be back. #onetimer

Been there thrice now and had biriyani on all 3 occasions with other items as well. Nothing great about the food, decent biriyani, but I would recommend the starters of any other food item. Lassi is also good and helps negate the spice in the ulavacharu biriyani. Service is very bad, almost non-existent except for one when there was a lady at the counter. Think more people choose to order take-aways than dining in.

This restaurant provides more than decent Indian food. I am very critical about food both in terms of taste and quality wise. I was very skeptical to try this restaurant after reading the average reviews. But to my surprise I am very satisfied by all the dishes I have ordered. It being Saturday(veg day for me), we could only try Vegetarian dishes. We ordered Gobi manchurian, chilli Paneer and vegetable dum Biryani and they were very close to my taste standards and I visited the subsequent day to try ulavacharu Biryani and that’s how Bawarchi Pleasanton became one my favorite Indian restaurants in the bay area . Though I am a loyal Hyderabadi Dum Biryani fan, I loved their vijayawada Biryani, potentially the best in bay area . Their buffet was ok. No complaints though. Try their Ala carte, they will for sure impress you. 4⁄5

This place has terrible service. Atrocious. There are so many Indian restaurants in the tri valley and I came to this one. An hour and 15 minute wait for to go order and when I finally got my food, they were missing part of my order. Ended up spending too long waiting. They need to fix their kitchen management before they try to run a restaurant.

Haven’t sat down at the restaurant but ordered the vijaywala biryiani for delivery and let me tell you one of the best I’ve tried so far. Would recommend this place for delivery don’t know too much about the service.

Do not care to sit and eat at this restaurant. The service is quite horrible, Few items are good. I really like the vijayawada special chicken biryani. The main problem is lack of consistency.
