This is my favorite trail to run in the Tri-Valley area. It connects with Iron Horse and Arroyo Mocho Trails. Golden Creek is the creek that borders the trail and you can see lots of different water fowl, including herons, geese and ducks. Sometimes you can even see a fox or two. This trail is great for walking, running, biking and walking your dog.

I’ve come here many times but never knew the name of the trail until recently. Centennial Trail(CT) runs along South San Ramon Creek which goes parallel to Hwy 680 in Pleasanton. It stretches less than 3 miles itself but links to other local trails. Heading north, CT connects to Alamo Canal Trail in Dublin. The paved section of the trail has a lot of uneven patchwork so watch where you step! You’ll see ducks and geese in the creek. But other than that and the freeway traffic, not a whole lot to see. CT is completely exposed. It gets hot and sunscreen is a must.
