It’s full of ticks! My dog had 2! It’s damp and dark with little sunlight. Smelt like a sewer had burst into the creek! Yuck!

This trail is nearby my house so I decided to give it a try. The trail is nice and quiet in the morning as there is no stampede with a flock of early risers. However, the trail is too short for a serious hiking as it is only a 1.2 miles loo. I don’t plan to go there again, but if someone is interested in a quiet and short hiking, it’s an option. BTW, the trails are narrow and are being invaded by a bunch of weeds with spikes so won’t recommend for kids.

Nice trail with some sharp climbs and some gentler hills. I did about 1.6 mi going out and traced my steps back. Was a hot sunny day and most of the trail is in the sun. Took an hour. Nice view of Pleasanton from up there. Very light traffic.

This is a perfect, quick hike with some nice hills! I also like that it is a loop so there’s no back tracking! Beautiful views as well! Lots of bees though so if you’re allergic heads up. There’s a bathroom too at the start which is nice and plenty of parking! I love this spot and frequent it!

You can turn the usual 1.5 loop into a 7 – 20 mile run if you follow the windy trail through the [closed off?] land bank and into Pleasanton Ridge Park, which stretches all the way to Sunol. Nice wide single track and fire road, some shade, great views of Pleasanton/Livermore.

Pick up the trail at the Laurel Creek Staging area. A short(35-minute approx. 1.5 mile) hike with several challenging hills rewards you with a panoramic view of Dublin/Pleasanton! This time of the year it’s very dry with the Oak Trees being the only green, but it looks like during the winter and spring there might be a small creek. The hubby said it would be tons of fun to mountain bike.
