Tricky finding the path. It’s next to the baseball cage. The hike is good. 0.5 miles to the edge of the path and back. View is beautiful. I ended up crossing the street at the light and going up and down the paved disc golf path across the way. It’s up a pretty big incline but the path winds greatly so you don’t feel the brunt of it. Path somewhat ends abruptly with 2 picnic tables, but again the view is beautiful. All in between both paths and walking back to my car in the parking lot my app captured 1.5 miles with good incline walks, it was great.

Took us a minute to figure out which way to go, but once we got our acts together, I really enjoyed myself. Beautiful views and lots of hills! We had a great time!

Coming here felt like we stepped out of San Ramon and into some kind of movie scene. If you’re looking for one of those hipster photoshoot spots, this is your place hehe! Summit View Trails is a nice find if you’re looking for a beautiful view of the valley without that vigorous hike. It has a little foot trail that goes up and around the hill and is great if you want some peace and fresh air. The fields can get itchy though so I would recommend covering up and just be aware of those little animals crawling around here and there.

This is one of my favorite spots in San Ramon. You have one of the best views of the entire valley. Sunset is awesome from here. This is tucked away and very serene. There’s a small hiking trail that my 4 year old daughter can easily do. There are some benches to relax and take it in. We normally take sandwiches or snacks and have a picnic. There are no play structures or lots of grassy fields, so don’t go there expecting that. It’s a foot trail. There is a small frisbee golf course and lots of groundhogs running around to watch for entertainment.

If you want a quick walking exercise and have a reward at the end, then this is the place to go. Right across from Old Ranch Park, you can take a paved path up Summit View Trails, and once at the top, you can get a great 360 view of San Ramon. There are benches and a couple of tables, so you can easily give yourself some peace and quiet, while being able to sit comfortably, Also, after going here, I quickly realized that it is the ideal spot to watch fireworks, and that’s exactly what my family and I did.
