Caramel mocha is really bad. I love the idea of a drive-thru coffee place along my way to work. It’s ideal. But both times I came in, the drink was pretty bad. First time was a regular mocha, this time caramel. Kinda grainy and has sortof a metallic taste. I’m gonna try again in a couple months and I am really hoping they will have improved their recipe. Their pumpkin muffins are delicious though and by the reviews, it seems their regular coffee is very good so I’m thinking it’s just the flavored stuff they are struggling with. If it’s better down the road, I will change my review. I really want this place to succeed!

I was always hesitant to get a coffee from any small drive-thru shop located on a big parking lot. Since my coffee machine broke last week and I wanted to avoid a long line at Starbucks, I decided to give this little shop a try. And I was happy I did, now I know where to get a cup of coffee when I am in a hurry. Coffee tasted pretty good, it wasn’t too acidic, and the price is good too. Staff was friendly and fast too.

Staff is very nice here we had never been here and asked what she could make… She said pretty much anything I could think of so we played it safe and just got two iced Carmel macchiatos but they were very good!!! Price is not bad either… Will definitely be back

I am so glad that we stumbled upon this little treasure! We drove up this morning in dire need of some good ol’ coffee, and we were warmly greeted by a lovely little ray of sunshine. We placed our orders(she was the only one working– what a job to do!) and she whipped everything up so fast, I hardly had time to pull out my wallet. We had large coffees with espresso in each. The coffee was WONDERFUL; some of the best we have had at a quick stop like this one. No acidic flavor, not too hot, and tasted like a darn good coffee should taste! Our two beverages cost $ 5 flat. We will totally be back to see Dr. Beanz. Cheers!

My drink was great. Imagine an iced caramel macchiato meets an amazing blender… I don’t even know how to describe my drink because it was exactly what I wanted(for a long time). The drink: Blended caramel with a shot– perfectly blended. Not too sweet. Lots of caramel drizzle on the bottom. Amazing! The price was reasonable too. Tiny little drive thru shop. I’ll stop by again soon. And probably order a large ;)

The guy that owns it is awesome. Friendly service, great coffee. The drive-through is convenient, fast; and I love supporting a local business.

Been going here since it was Mika’s. I was like a Charter customer I think. Anyhow. Lots has changed… but the young folks in there are super respectful and make a good brew, will make it your way and the prices are fair. And You can drive thru… I like it way better then the place over by the freeway… keep it up. 1 Star off for being a little rundown. Get some paint brushes… but I do like funky too…

A very rare fine day when a coffee maker makes me a perfect iced Americano. It was a Saturday and I wanted an early afternoon drink since I didn’t drink my once a day cup of coffee. The one guy working made my drink absolutely perfect. I said«Lotsa cream, lotsa sugar.» He just knew the perfect amount. You know I have a hard time letting someone else take the reigns on my cream and sugar. My son wanted a cookie or pastry but unfortunately they don’t have any on the weekends. I turned to look at my son and his eyes started welling with tears. The guy felt bad but there was nothing he could do. I was so impressed with my coffee I didn’t mind my toddlers discomfort. We immediately went to grandmas house where he was promptly given some type of chocolate. If I lived closer I’d make this my main coffee spot for sure.

I can’t speak to their coffee persay but I can speak to the service when I was asked by my sister to be her errand mule and get coffee. The guy who helped me was nice and listened well to the long list of instructions I rehashed that were given to me by my dear sibling. He was quick and efficient and I was on my way fairly quick. I’d like to go back again and actually rate the java.

The coffee is truly the best in town and customer service is wonderful. They’re always nice about tweaking the order to my liking and amazingly remember my preferences. It’s super convenient to ride up on my bike, with dog in tow, grab a cup of coffee and ride off. I take advantage of their prepay plan(free cup of coffee!). Even when I don’t have my dog & the need to be outside with her, I prefer their coffee over the bigger chains. There’s also a happy vibe to the place. Even the customers are friendly!

I go to Dr Beanz twice a day for their blended mochas. The service is incredible and they always remember what you drink. As for the person that said they give you caffine when you order decaf, is false. I have a heart condition and if they gave me caffine id be in the hospital. I have read the can on which they make their frapichinos from and there is no caffine in the mix. Dr Beanz has great coffee at a great price with incredible service.

Dr. Beanz serves average but very strong, robust arabica coffee. i was feeling drowsy from driving and needed a pick me up drove to the island and was instantly served by the«associate» on duty. he was busy with friends but his job came first. got a coffee(m, 1.85). coffee tasted harsh but cleared up my head fast. my cleared head realized it was thursday and the tusday 1.99 special at kfc wasn’t applicable today since it was thursday. saved me an embarrassing moment if i’d tried to order it. later, during the downpour, the coffee kept me awake on hwy 580. the coffee didn’t taste great but it did it’s job-keeping me awake and alive.

How does this place not have more reviews? If you live in the valley, specifically in Pleasanton, I envy you for having such an awesome coffee shop not found ANYWHERE close by. Life –and what not– brings me to the valley at least once or twice a week. Since finding this place, I make it a point to stop by and grab some morning pick-me-up from the 2 super-friendly guys that always run this place. The service and quality of their made-to-order drinks are fantastic, and as others have mentioned, it is with great pleasure that I support locally Mom-and-Pop type businesses! Thanks, Dr. Beanz!

Great way to start your morning off! I’m sad that Taylor is gone now but the new guy is very nice too. They make the best drinks and always seem to remeber my order. And they are very speedy too, helps when I’m running late ;)

I’ve been wanting to patronize a small business coffee place rather than that giant monstrosity we all know as Starbucks(though the people there are great too!). Saw this place on the way to work and gave it a try. Definitely glad I did. Started going here instead of Starbucks for the morning caffeine fix now. People are always friendly, and they remember your preferred drink, haha. The drinks are about a dollar or so less than if you got them at Starbucks. Once I got a chai latte that I later noticed didn’t have… enough chai(at least not for my tastes). I told the guy the next day and he remembered my preference for chai-to-milk ratio from then on. Pastries are decent and decently priced too. Nothing super fancy, though their scones in particular are surprisingly good. This place is definitely a regular stop now. I do hope more people discover it!

The frappé-chino thing is really good, but I have to deduct 2 stars since these guys gave me a caffeinated beverage when I specifically asked for decaf. Not cool! The prices are great and the beverages are tasty… but if you’re sensitive to caffeine, you might want to go somewhere else where you can literally watch them make your drink and pull your shot of espresso from the decaf bin of beans.
