Pros: They were able to take a reservation for 8 people the same day. Restaurant is nice and quaint inside. Cons: 1) Food: I ordered the grilled salmon which was cooked really well however, it was salty. There were mixed vegetables with a creamy sauce. If I order a fish, I really don’t like any rich sauce with it. The veggies were also a bit too al dente. I think it was a carrot that was tough to chew. My fiancé ordered the Beef Bourguinon who let me try it and we both did not like it. The beef was dry and tough. The sauce tasted like wine sauce but there was no flavor to it. It was totally blah. Two of my friends ordered the Baked Acorn Squash with barley risotto and they both did not like the dish. They described it as a weird combination of conflicting flavors that did not taste well. When I saw the dishes brought to them, the presentation was just horrendous. You cannot even find the squash. It was hidden underneath a pile of barley risotto that looked like a bowl of oatmeal. The only person who was pleased in our group was a friend that ordered the mushroom ravioli. The Caesar Salad was also a blah. It just tasted like lettuce with a pile of cheese on top. How can you mess up a salad? 2) Drinks: My fiancé and I ordered the Moscow Mule and Icelandic Sunset. The Moscow Mule came in small tin can filled with ice to the brim and the Icelandic Sunset was in a small martini glass. C’mon, we all know that putting so much ice in a cocktail drink is cheating and cheap. The amount is so little for the price you pay. We should have ordered wine instead. One of our friends that ordered a glass of wine looked like they gave him a pretty decent portions. 3) Tipping: I really did not like it that they automatically included a 18% tip for 6 people.(Two of our friends did not make it). I can see adding gratuity for 8 people but not for 6. The service was not great. Our waiter was nice but he did not come back to ask us how our meal was. Their glass water is so small and yet they don’t offer to refill it. Yes, I get it with the drought and all, you do not need to keep refilling our glass but at least check on us and ask if we need any refill if you are going to make us give you 18% tip. Our bill was $ 90 per couple. If we are to spend that much dining out, we ought to get good food, good drinks and better service. Maybe I will give this place another try someday. Maybe. But for this first visit, my friends and I were really disappointed.

They have great pancakes, eggs Benedict good also. My 12 yr old didn’t love her French Toast, ended up eating pancakes instead. Overall good food, loud atmosphere but great location on Main St

Great weekend brunch with strong and delicious bottomless mimosa for a reasonable price. Came here without a reservation on a Saturday and was lucky to get a seat for 2. The place is pretty popular. After seeing someone order a breakfast bowel, I tried the same. It looked impressive, and tasted as good as it looks. Lots of bacon and potatoes below the eggs. Went together great especially with some hot sauce.

I came here over the weekend with a pretty large group. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff was so accommodating. We called last minute for a reservation and when we showed up they had a table ready to go for us. Our waitress was amazing and so friendly. The food was fantastic as well. I had the mushroom ravioli which was delicious. Other guests at our table had the steak frites, lamb shanks, salmon salad, and steak salad. Everyone enjoyed there dishes immensely. Plus the butter roses at the beginning of the meal were a huge hit. The only downside to Nonni’s is that the restaurant is small and when it gets busy it becomes very noisy. The reason why I docked a star was because even though I was sitting right next to my friend I still found myself yelling because it was hard talking to people at my table. However I will definitely be back. The food and staff alone make this place a winner.

Nice place. The mushroom rav is pretty bland so not a good choice . Server is very pleasant. Cute restaurant.

Great little restaurant in downtown. Great food, friendly staff, comfortable environment, decent wine selection. Reasonable prices. I love their selected menu on the Valentine’s Day, and this year again, my husband and I are ready for a nice romantic dinner. Reservations required on this day! Highly recommend Nonni’s Bistro for lunch or dinner.

I started off with a glass of the Morgan Chardonnay & my hubby had a glass of the Malbec. We weren’t that hungry & decided just to order an entrée. I had the salmon & my husband had the steak & frites. Both our entrees were excellent. Cooked perfectly and were good portions. We ended our meal with the warm chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce & vanilla ice cream. It was meh. We definitely will return. The entrees were very good & we would like to try a soup or salad next time.

I’m redoing my review because I think the other time I went we just had a bad server & customer service. I went recently with a large group for brunch and we had a really fun time and the food was great. I can’t remember what I got, but I do remember that we got bottomless mimosas :) and they weren’t too acidic or sweet which is good. I didn’t get a headache from them either which is rare because places they use cheap sparkling wine for mimosas. The chef came out and said hello and was very nice! We will be going back for brunch!

I was in the area with my wife and decided to have dinner here as the reviews were good. The appetizer was good but the main dishes were actually very bad. Maybe was an off day in the kitchen. WE’ll give them another try.

We were visiting friends and they brought us to Nonni’s for brunch. The service here is excellent and the restaurant has a lot of charm. The menu had your typical brunch items with a few items like mussels in the mix. I ordered the salmon omelette, my husband had two eggs with potatoes, our friends got the mussels and the french toast. I felt bad for my friend because she was so looking forward to a cheat day but she could not eat the french toast because it seemed stale. She said that she felt like the bread they used was on it’s way to becoming croutons. The syrup didn’t even penetrate the bread! I would recommend staying away from the bread as my whole wheat toast was also on the stale side. The waitress was so nice in removing it from our bill without us having to dispute it. The omelette was excellent and my friend;s husband loved the mussels. So it seems hit and miss.

Petite, classy restaurant located in downtown Pleasanton. Parking is convenient — just drive out to the back and there is a private lot shared among the businesses. I came here with my family to celebrate my birthday. Good choice for brunch. They have bottomless mimosas! Explains the volume of the place. Friendly and attentive service. Mussels and Fries — Yu! Great dish to share between 3 – 4 people. The dipping sauce that comes with the fries is exceptional. Burger — Pretty typical. Above average for sure. Huevos Rancheros — Delicious choice for brunch. Generous portions, enough to feed two. Everything is fresh.

Being that I am pregnant, this review might be a little biased as I was not able to enjoy A lot of the food on their menu. The ambiance was nice. Its a small, cozy place and the hostess was very nice. She asked if I need a pillow to make myself more comfortable and those kinds of gestures really mean a lot. The food choices is VERYLIMITED for a pregnant lady. I couldn’t have a lot of their appetizers because they were raw, or unpasteurized cheeses or what not. I did appreciate the waitress telling me what each item was so I knew what I could and could not have. I ended up ordering the filet Mignon, which was pretty good. I expected it to be pretty good, being that I could only order it medium. MY husband really enjoyed his stew, which I believe was a buffalo stew or something. The menu wasn’t that appetizing for me, I felt like nothing on it was something I would of wanted to eat so I’m not sure if we will be back here. It was a great experience, but it wasn’t that memorable.

This place is cozy and staff seem friendly. However the food — at least what we ordered were disappointing. We ordered the French onion soup BEEFBOURGUIGNON and MOULES&FRIETS. The beef bourguignon in particular was the worst of the bunch having a weird and bitter after taste. Needless to say i only ate a small portion and did not bother to take any leftovers home. We shared our dissatisfaction with our server and I guessing because we were so calm in the way we shared our thoughts — they seem unapologetic and did not offer any«make good». With all the restaurant choices in Pleasanton or neighboring areas not sure if I’m going to give this place another chance.

I came here around 1:15PM and I got seated immediately. They seem to be short on people since they only had 2 people working on around 12 tables. I was offered drinks as soon as I sat down. After they serve the drinks, the waiter took the order quickly and food came very fast! The onion soup was so good-not too salty just the way I like it. The smoke salmon penne pasta was very tasty. The steak salad’s dressing was something different! The service was good and the food was good.

This review for breakfast only. I was extremely disappointed with breakfast. When I go to a new place for breakfast, I normally play it safe and get bacon and eggs. My husband got bangers and eggs. While the eggs were cooked properly, the bacon was under done(I asked for crispy bacon), lukewarm, potatoes lukewarm, toast lukewarm(no butter). Asked for butter, delivered rock hard — so with the lukewarm toast, did not melt! Husband’s dish was the same. Our server was sweet, but little follow up. No one around to help us so I am grabbing ketchup and hot sauce for us. For all of this aggravation we paid nearly $ 40!!! I let the waitress know for this kind of subpar food experience I would never be back for breakfast! If I could give a zero rating I would!

Restaurant itself is small but cute. Food is descent. And service is alright. Had their char broiled eggs, which were interesting, but in a good way. It came with toast and fruit, but for the price($ 13) that you pay, not sure if it was worth it. My BF got their breakfast pot($ 15), which was pretty tasty. Another gripe is that the restaurant gets ridiculously loud.

Great food, great service. + THEFRENCHTOAST The Kentucky Bourbon french toast was huge, so share it! Or. you could eat it by yourself too. There were two HUGE slices of thick bread(like the size of my face). My goodness this was delicious. On top, they sprinkled some banana slices, pecans, bourbon sauce, and powdered sugar. + THEOMELETS My friend and I shared The Valley omelet, which had greens, bacon, and mushrooms in it(we had asked for no cheese). It was delicious because while it tasted fresh, it was simple and the flavors meshed well together. We also ordered the side of country potatoes, which were roasted potatoes with herbs. By the end of the meal, we were so stuffed and content with what we ordered. + THESERVICE We were seated immediately upon arrival since we had a reservation. I suggest people to make their reservations online because a lot of people were turned away because many tables were reserved already. Our server was so nice and she explained what the special of the day was before we started to look through the menu. When we ordered our food, she immediately knew that we were sharing our food, so when our food arrived, it was already split into two different plates for us!

O-M-G. This place was delicious. I went at 2 in the afternoon on a Sunday, so luckily no wait.(I have tried to come here before and the wait has been over an hour — the place is small inside.) The food was delicious and the service was great. They have unlimited mimosas for $ 10 on the weekends, so great place to come with girlfriends. Food was reasonably priced too. I will definitely be back… and I’m bringing all of my girlfriends.

Been here twice. Can be pretty loud when the windows are closed. Can’t remember the first time but loved my food the second time. Tried their special — avocado, tomato, bacon, and egg sandwich with a bowl of fruit. My egg was perfectly over medium with a slight crispness on the edges. When I cut into the sandwich, perfectly gooey. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu. Note: Can get really busy on the weekends. Make reservations if you can.
