Fast, efficient, friendly service and never had to wait for more than 10 – 15 minutes, even at the weekend! Not had a bad cut and my son likes it there too!

My regular girl was out on Maternity leave, I found myself overdue for a cut, searched Unilocal and Shear Cuts had the ebst reviews of places that were open later and for a walk in. So I … Walked in right before closing. Abdul was my barber, he was very skilled and methodical, cut my hair shorter than I usually get it and maybe would have liked it, but he did give me a very good cut. He checked in with me regularly to see if it was looking ok. There seemed like there was a bit of a language barrier there, but it didn’t affect the service or the cut. Oh, and I got shampoo and rinse before and after. When done, it was only $ 15, a steal. I tipped an extra $ 10 for the good job, it is still much less than my regular. Abdul is a really nice guy to boot.

Best place in Pleasanton to come get a hair cut from a great barber named Randy. Does great work would definitely recommend to get a hair cut here and the price is ridiculously affordable. 15 dollars gets you hair cut, washed with shampoo, conditioner, and gel… 1st place I have ever seen like this !!

My husband and son get their haircut here every two weeks by Olivia. She is amazing! A true barber! And very patient with my 1 ½ year old :) All the other stylists are very friendly as well. We will continue to support this local business

First time coming back here in 15 years, shouldn’t have. The place is filthy, ugly, and cramped. They sat me down on a dirty chair with someone’s hair all over it, they didn’t even clean up the floor. I told her what I wanted but she got it wrong(but I can understand, I’m not really sure what my kind of hair cut is called). She then started to make small talk. She racially profiled me, talked about cancer(my mother has cancer), and she couldn’t stop dropping the comb and shears. She kept talking and talking while I kept quiet to myself and then she cut my ear(it wasn’t bleeding bad). She then put anti-septic on it even though I told her«no it’s fine» but she then takes this dirty sanitizing pen onto my ear(the pen looked like it was older than me). When she almost finished, I said«not bad» she then snapped at me saying«EXCUSEME!!?» with the dirtiest face. She then gelled my hair but didn’t even bother combing it for me, she handed me the comb and said«you do it.» The haircut result was just«eh.» I’ve had better haircuts in 10 mins then that 40 minute ordeal. I paid and then left, which will be the last time I leave from that place seeing I will never do business with them again. For the same price of getting offended, getting my ear cut, and being snapped at, I could have had a hot towel facial, shoulder massage, hair wash, and a decent haircut at Sport Clips like I was planning on going but wanted to save the gas. Pleasanton Community: I know this place has been here forever, but we are better than this, do business with someplace else.

A small shop with down-to-earth folks who know how to cut hair well… Here’s why this shop is legit: — The prices are good. I’ve checked the pricing in the area and this place has competitive pricing. — The stylists here are friendly. They seem to know their regulars, so it gives it somewhat of a local, family feel. — Their consistent. I’ve had my hair cut by three different stylist here and each time it’s been exactly what I wanted. — They cut well. They’re not looking to get you out as soon as possible. They take their time to cut it right. One minor call-out is that they only accept cash. Other than that, this is without a doubt, my go-to barber shop…

I am a returning Pleasanton resident and have been looking for a quick/easy place to get my daughters hair cut. We drive by this place daily, and see(who i found out to be the owner Randy) standing on the sidewalk on Hopyard holding the«Shear Cuts» sign with a big smile! That actually is what pulled me & my daughter in. They took us right in. The gal that cut her hair was Olivia, super sweet and did exactly what i asked. I did return(didnt know they only took cash) to pay, and asked her to cut just a bit more off the back. She did, and with a smile :) Comfortable setting, a few of the other customers were long time coming and it seemed like everyone was smiling, and chatting and just having a good time. Kinda like when you see«barber shops» on tv, everybody knows everybody and is just«chatting it up!» We’ll definitely be back :)

I used to go to the Shear Cuts in Dublin with my Dad 25 years ago. Very happy to find that Randy is still in business and still in the area. A quality cut at a very cheap price. I’ll be bringing my young boys here for sure for a family tradition!

I’ve been going to Shear Cuts now for 5+ years. I’ve had my hair cut at just about every place in Pleasanton but shear cuts is by far the best bang for your buck. They are excellent at what they do and do not charge you an arm and a leg. I recommend Randy who I’ve known now for 10+ years. They guy has never had an off day. He always understands what style I am looking for and delivers time and time again. In addition, Randy’s a smart guy and is always sharing his wisdom and experience with me. I learn something every time I sit in his chair. I highly recommend this place!

At first glance the place has a bit of a «hole in the wall» feel. But the service was great and I got an excellent haircut for the price. They only take cash or check. .. but beyond that the place was great.

I’ve been going here for 4 years. I get a Mens wash and cut. Every staff member has cut my hair at some point and I’ve always been happy with the results. $ 15 well spent.

This place was close and reviews where mixed so I went ahead and tried it. The first thing I noticed was it was drab and dirty. Then I get this Ukranian lady that talked more than she cut, and just sprayed to wet cut. Worst hair cut I think I’ve had. I told her to cut an inch and she only cut half the length. It was uneven and when she was done she just wet combed it straight back so I didn’t realise how bad it was until it dryed. Now I need a hair cut, but lucky enough she didn’t cut what I asked so I have some to work with on a good cut. If you do want to take the chance make sure you stay away from the Ukrainan stylist.

I’m new to the area, and need to find a place for my boys to get their haircuts. We tried Shear Cuts since it’s close to our home, but I was disappointed at the results… Two women cut each of my boy’s hair, and both cuts came out choppy and uneven. They both needed haircuts shortly after we went here to fix their hair. The place is reasonably priced, and it did draw a crowd, but I won’t take my boys there again.

If you want a good, fast haircut, and want to avoid super cuts, this is the place. Friendly staff and quick turn around, just don’t go during the lunch rush.

You can get a decent cut for a great price here. Most of the hairdressers are pretty friendly. I recommend going early in the day because it tends to get crowded later on. I haven’t gotten a cut in a while but I use this place to get a touch up or a trim. No need to pay buckets of money for a simple cut. Go to a salon for something more dramatic.
