Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta

I got my eyebrows waxed on Monday and still have burn marks under my brows. The reason I come to ulta is so that this doesn’t happen. Looks like I’ll be staying with the Center City location going forward.

Been there often to get my eye brows done. The last time I went it was a horrible experience, the wax was not hot so it was extremely painful. I said that I felt the wax wasn’t hot and it was painful and the girl said I don’t like hot wax… After she waxed my eyes brows she filled them in and I usually never get that done but she assisted, later on I went home and took my make up off, I was missing half my eye brow (so that’s why she wanted to fill them in) so much for a reshape, I am so upset, and the skin ended and above my brows are still swollen from the cold wax.

Clean place with helpful staff who really know what they’re doing relating to all things hair and makeup. However, I heard one employee loudly ranting about how she was «never going to cut [person]‘s hair again because she made [me] look bad!» Her sentiment is understandable, but don’t say that in a place where other customers will hear you! She wasn’t in the back or anything — she was in the middle of the store saying this for everyone to hear. It was very uncomfortable, and given some other reviewers saying «X refused to do my hair/​eyebrows after I gave her feedback,» I felt like I was treading on eggshells.
As for my actual eyebrow wax, it was okay. I noticed the stylist NEVER double dipped, and she used clean sticks for every wax. She shaped well according to what I asked for, but when I got into the unflattering light of my car, I noticed she had missed large clumps of dark hairs. I don’t recall her waxing those crucial places, but didn’t say anything during the wax since I assumed there wasn’t enough hair there to wax– wrong! She also did not clean up with tweezers as much as she should have, so I had to do that myself. For a $ 25 wax, I was really not pleased. Once I cleaned up myself, though, the shape and form she did looked really nice. I am also pleased with whatever moisturizers and lotions she used afterwards, because I did not have much redness and did not break out.

I usually go to the brow bar to get my eyebrows waxed by Janet, and they turn out great! Last time I went, she ripped off the skin under my eyebrows, leaving me with 2 huge scabs. I was going to go back today for another wax, but called her before to tell her what happened last time and figure out a way to prevent it from happening again. She said «I don’t think you should come back. I’m canceling your appointment, ok bye» and hung up! She never tried to work with me or help, and was extremely rude!
Guess I won’t be going back, I don’t think I’m even allowed back?

I needed to get my brows reshaped since they had grown in a little. I wanted to make sure they were symmetrical with my face. Janet did a wonderful job explaining to me what she was doing and where my brows needed to still grow. I love the way they look and can not wait for them to be perfect in a few months! I will definitely keep going to Janet and would recommend her to anyone!

Janet is amazing! My brows were the completely wrong shape and were too thin and she fixed them over the course of a few months. I will never do my own eyebrows again! Great Service!
