I desperately needed my brows done today and they were both accommodating and readily accessible. I called to see if I could schedule an appointment for that day and they were able to fit me in as soon as I called. The woman helping me, Linda, was knowledgable and offered advice for future brow care. I have gotten my hair cut here as well for about 2 years and I have yet to find a place as great. Mary, my stylist, is a hair genius and will spend as much time as needed to make sure I love my look. It’s not unusual for me to be there for over an hour, getting advice, styled and the whole work up. The place is spotless and usually has something to snack on while waiting for highlights or dye jobs. No complaints! If you’re looking for a place to get your hair done, this is the place!

What is it with people and customer service these days… I mean, really?! I don’t ask a lot… Ask my husband… He says I am one of the most easy going person he has ever met. I also have a lot of patience… Training service dogs will teach you that. But patience can run out when you are treated the way that B.E. Unique treats you. Please note my review is only about the LACK of customer service… because I waited FOREVER and they never acknowledged my appointment!!! I called last week on Wednesday to schedule an appointment for a conditioning and haircut… I figured with the holiday weekend they were probably busy/closed– so I just left a message with what my request was and my name and number. I got a call back on Friday to schedule an appointment for Tuesday at 6pm. Perfect. Sounded like a good plan. The timing was tough, so I had to go right after work and not head home first… And I planned to arrive at 5:30, a 30 minute wait isn’t too bad… Yesterday, Tuesday, I received a phone call from the place stating that the hairdresser that I was assigned to was not available but they could schedule me at 6:30– although it was not the optimal time– they still went through the effort to get me an appointment. I arrived, checked in was asked to take a seat and I would be taken care of immediately… So, I sat, pulled up a magazine… and hung out… Breezed through an entire magazine and thought it was taking a long time… checked out the time on my phone and it was already 20 minutes passed my appointment time. Well, that is awesome. Made arrangements with the family to be home late with the original appointment at 6, had to change literally hours before for 6:30 and now it was ALMOST7pm and other than the receptionist saying I would be helped immediately… I have not been acknowledged. There was a gentleman giving another guy a great cut and was saying how much they focus on getting people in and out because their time was valuable. Maybe he cared but the hair stylist I had an appointment with obviously didn’t. So, I stood up to check out the status of the hair stylist, she was still working on someone else… which is completely acceptable, I wouldn’t expect her to rush and do a terrible job, but as a person with an appointment for 6:30, I would expect to get acknowledged about the status of the situation. At that point, the gentlemen finished up and the guy called me out by name and wondered what was taking so long. I just said it is taking too long, I cannot wait the ENTIRE evening to have my appointment time acknowledged. That is rude and unprofessional. I walked up to the front desk, wasn’t acknowledged by the receptionist, so I just walked out. Very upset that I wasted the better part of my evening for my 6:30 appointment. On my way home, I did get a call from the hair stylist asking me to reschedule. Are you kidding me? So, I can cancel my other plans and waste yet another evening waiting for that appointment. I don’t think so… if you would have called me earlier BEFORE I arrived or at any point of the 30 minutes I spent waiting in your salon– I would have been more understanding. The huge shocker was nothing was offered as an apology other than words. Sure, I appreciated that. But I cant get back those hours I wasted. Customer Service 101– I learned back when I was 15 busting my butt in a restaurant… the hardest part is to get someone in… once you make them happy, they are customers for life… If you make them upset– everyone will know. Everyone at work wondered why my hair wasn’t cut this morning… and guess what story they got. It is extremely tough for me to say any other than this place sucks… it just does… Don’t waste your time here.

Followed my stylist, Kristie F. to this salon when she moved to a different location. Nice atmosphere, great natural light — easy to find. Kristie always gives great haircuts. I have wavy hair that can poof up if cut wrong and her haircuts let me wear my hair wavy or straight. I’ll be back for sure.
