Visited Claychick again recently and found their selection to be even BIGGER! They have the cutest little add on pieces they call«minis» which can be fixed inside a mug or on a plate. Though I didn’t use one for the project I painted I will definitely be sneaking one into my next mug! I have to say I’m a little shocked at people saying it’s pricey. A family of five(like mine) spends more on dinner and a movie than a visit to a place like this, where it’s not just the experience, but you get a keepsake forever as well. I love this place, my kids love this place, and anyone I’ve talked to who has gone loves it! Can’t wait to try fusing glass!!!

VERYEXPENSIVE!!! Get ready to spend $ 60 or more with three kids. The employees were not helpful with suggestions. We felt very rushed towards the end of painting and this was from the owner.

A few months ago my friends and I started coming here every weekend. We loved the place and made the trek from Lakeville to Plymouth every Saturday even though it was a 45 minute drive one way and there is a similar place closer. We loved the atmosphere at Claychick and the girls that work there are wonderful, very helpful. Unfortunately my friend bought and painted a dog dish for 23 dollars and change and when we went to pick it up there was a large white line running through it. My friend asked what happened and the girl said that she wasn’t sure but they could fix it for her if she didn’t mind waiting until the next week for pick up. She asked if she was sure they could fix it, was told they could and we went on our way. The next week we came back to pick up our things and paint again however my friend’s dog dish was in even worse shape than the week before. It appeared as though someone tried to slop and glob paint over the area and reglazed it. The double glaze had left bubbles, more paint had worn off and the colors did not seem to match what had been previously painted. The girl behind the counter apologized and told us that a new girl had screwed up the glaze. The owner, who wasn’t there at the time, had written out a coupon that was good for $ 5 off my friend’s next purchase. The coupon expired in two weeks. The note on it read, «sorry not really sure what happened». Though the girl working seemed to know exactly what happened. So instead of offering to refund my friend or let her choose something of equal value, or redo her piece, she was requiring her to come back to the store and spend another $ 18 to redo the dog dish. Now we are talking $ 41 for a dog dish. Needless to say my friend and I were very upset by the way the situation was handled as we had spent over $ 300 between us in the weeks prior and were steady, returning customers who were giving the company great word of mouth business. So my friend decided to ask the girl working if she would leave a note for Chick, the owner and ask her to call her. Five days passed and we hadn’t heard anything so we called the store. Chick was unnecessarily defensive and rude, cutting my friend off whenever she opened her mouth, insisting that the dog dish was still functional and she gave her a coupon. During the conversation she also blamed the paint(which she supplies, so even if this were the problem a refund would still be in order) and my friend for the way she painted it. My friend tried to explain that if she wanted a «functional» dog dish she could buy one for 5 dollars elsewhere. She bought it at Claychick for the ascetic and the ability to personalize it with her dog’s names. Besides, suppose it had been a gift? Would you want to give someone something you painted if it looked the way I described it? Finally after five minutes or so of arguing and interrupting my friend on the phone, Chick agreed to either refund her or allow her to repaint one. She decided to get the refund because she didn’t want her to have her money. Sadly this incident turned our favorite Saturday hangout sour. We went there one time after that to get our 10% discount we had earned from so many visits but have no plans to return. We’ll be bringing our business elsewhere and hope you do the same. I’m all about small business but someone willing to treat good customers like this isn’t worth spending your money on. Great staff but rude and greedy owner. Go elsewhere.

Great selection of ready to paint ceramics that you’ll actually want to keep. Awesome selection of tools and techniques to really personalize your piece. Fun for kids and adults alike ~ I really can’t say enough about Claychick!
