UnAssuming small building next to party store and pizzeria. They do Gluten Free in an amazing way. My favorites are their soft pretzels, pizza crust, and jam filled cookies. The staff is nice, and sometimes they have free samples. Order ahead for cakes– they did a great job of decorating mine. It gets pretty crowded on Saturday mornings. I wish they were open more, but you can’t have everything.

I had a moment of love at first sight with this place. This is a tiny bakery and when you walk in it doesn’t seem like much. When you actually take a look at all the gluten free products they made you will see exactly why I loved this place. I had to look at every single thing they had and finally made the hard decision of getting a lemon fruit bar and it was delicious! Oh and must I say it was less than $ 1.50! My sister got the gluten free Blondie and she loved it as well. I was tempted to get a loaf of gluten free multi grain bread but decided to wait. It was such a good price as well and was a very good sized loaf compared to most gluten free bread that is more than $ 4. I will definitely be going back for a loaf soon. So many pastries such as cupcakes, brownies, blondies, quiches, and cookies. Worth checking out in you are in Northville!

This place is a gem! Best gluten free bread and baked goods I’ve ever had. Seriously everything is delicious. I no longer live in Michigan but whenever I go home to visit my family I make sure to stop in and grab a few loaves of fresh baked gluten free sandwich bread. It’s a small family owned business and that’s also a plus in my book! You will thank me later!!!

I want to keep this as simple as possible… THEREISNOBETTERBREAD!!! I so wish that the resturants in the area would discover this place and use there bread so I could go to a resturant and order a sandwich or hamburger and enjoy a meal that I think would be better then the gluten filled one. My husband bought home a loaf of «rye» bread made with caraway seed and some hamburger buns… I just wanted to taste it and it was so good I started eating it plain and cryed… yea cryed because it had been so long that I had the taste of chewy soft bead in my mouth. This place us an answer to prayer!!!

We use their products at Stella’s Black Dog Tavern and our customers love them. I have also tried some of their products we don’t use and I think they are great ! Never thought a Gluten Free brownie could taste so great

I’ve been meaning to write this for a while. Last January I called last minute to see if they can make a Curious George cake for my two year old. Took them less then a day to turn around the order. Can’t find a picture of the cake anymore– but it exceeded expectations. Last weekend my wife had a craving for some muffins, ended up picking up a few types of muffins and cinnamon rolls… holy s#!t, they were delicious.

Challah bread is awesome! I buy 2 loaves each week. The blueberry muffins are addicting! Baked fresh each morning. These gluten free/dairy free options are better than wheat/dairy versions!

Great specialty bakery with a decent selection of baked goods/allergy-friendly foods. I love that they have challah bread and their own version of Bumpy Cake. Great when I have a sweet tooth craving and need a fix. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. Great allergy-friendly bakery!

Praaaaaiseeeees! That’s me singing Rumi’s praises. This place is wonderful. My son has a long list of food allergies but for his 1st Birthday party I really wanted him to have the traditional messy yummy cake experience. I searched high and low for a bakery that could accommodate and Rumi’s was the only one I found that would do it! They are incredibly knowledgeable about allergen free baking and they make delicious foods. My son’s cake in particular was just adorable and SO good. Yes, Mom stole a few bites shhhhh. He absolutely loved it and you wouldn’t know the difference from a «regular» little smash cake. On top of our excellent experience regarding my son’s birthday cake is all of their other 5 star goods and services. My Mom is required to eat gluten free because of some health issues and she frequents Rumi’s. She is able to purchase so many yummy things there and I know it is a staple in her gluten free lifestyle. It is such a warm, friendly place and the prices are great and easy on the wallet too! It is an unsuspecting little store but truly a great place that is worth dropping in!

I am a realllly big fan of this place. They have the best birthday cake and dessert treats ever. I love their gluten free bumpy cake cupcakes and their carrot cupcakes too as well as their butter walnut cookies. I will really miss this place if I ever were to move somewhere that isn’t around here.

Hooray for Rumi’s Passion! So happy I tried it! I went GF about 3 years ago on doctor’s orders(autoimmune disease), so I still remember what real baked goods taste like. I have generally given up on GF baked goods, because they are usually not worth the price and calories(dry, crumbly, bland, or cloyingly sweet and sticky, usually inedible). Better to do without, I figured. Rumi’s is a welcome exception. This place is great! I went for the first time on a Saturday, and I was very pleased with the variety of items I purchased. In order of my preference, I review them below. GF Raspberry Kolacky: Fabulous! Perfect! I had to check the label twice to make sure they were really GF. Great texture, ratio of filling to pastry was perfect. Can’t wait to have these again. Highly recommended. 10⁄10 GF Blueberry Muffins: Amazing! Moist, great texture, full of real blueberries. These were great right out of the package, and even better with butter. I thought they might be dry and crumbly, but they were wonderful. The sprinkling of sugar crystals on the top was the perfect touch. Another item I will certainly buy again. 10⁄10 GF Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza: Very satisfying. Crust was substantial, very good texture, tasted better than GF pizza from Cottage Inn(cheaper too). I enjoy Buddy’s GF crust, but it has a very wet texture; Rumi’s was more like regular pizza crust. I will buy this again. Price was about $ 8, which is cheaper than any of the other GF pizzas I have found in restaurants or stores. Crust is already fully baked. You just heat it to melt the cheese. 9⁄10 GF Banana Chocolate Chip Bread: Very good. Good flavor, good texture, I have missed banana bread terribly. Was just a tad dry on the second day, but still quite good. I will probably buy this again. 8⁄10 I Can’t Believe It’s GF Chocolate Roll: Not bad, but not great. This was a rolled log cake with a sheet of chocolate cake and white filling rolled together and coated with cocoa icing. The cake was fine, but the icing and filling had a greasy rather than creamy feel. This was because it was also a dairy-free product, so the icing was made with oil rather than butter. It would have been great with real buttercream. That said, if you are restricted from dairy products, you would probably appreciate this as a real treat. I personally won’t buy it again, but it’s worth a try for the dairy-free crowd. 5⁄10. Service was friendly. Prices were fair(not cheap, not outrageous). Selection didn’t look like much at first glance, but I found plenty that I enjoyed. I didn’t try anything from the display case at the front counter, although there were some tempting items. I will try them on the next visit, as I will certainly return. Rumi’s Passion is a great place. I highly recommend you give it a try.

There is no better gluten free bread on the planet. Seriously, I’ve tried every kind available, and this is soft and almost indistinguishable from regular bread. They have baguettes, rye, onion, whole grain, challah, white, and specialty breads. All of them are wonderful but I love the onion and multi grain. Their hamburger and hot dog buns are just as good, as are their rolls. Her pizzas are very good, though I wish there was more variety. The cupcakes are a bit dry. The coffee cakes are beyond wonderful. She has a rum cake that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Her foccacia bread is well seasoned and wonderfully soft. I love her cookies. If you’re gluten free, she’s worth an hour drive to buy from. You’ll finally be able to eat sandwiches again. Oh, and her prices are very reasonable. Go to Rumis and be happy!

Gluten free Challah bread is out of this world delicious. I was so sad when Simple Sandwich closed because they carried this bread. Rumi’s has tasty GF cupcakes, & many other gluten free baked goods that you can’t find anywhere else!

I have been wanting to stop in for so long… I drove by last Saturday and actually remembered to stop… boy am I happy I did. They seem to have a large selection, it was fairly busy so I didn’t spend a lot of time looking around. Gluten free foods are improving by leaps and bounds lately and Rumi’s takes the cake when it comes to tasting like regular«gluten full» food. I have been gluten free for less than a year so I can compare to regular foods. I tried three things this trip(I’m not big into freezing baked goods so I only buy what I can consume right away). I will update as I try more. I bought the Ham and Cheese Quiche — Really awesome for breakfast, the crust tasted just like regular pie crust. Apricot Kolacky — Very moist! A little sweeter crust than Kalacky made with regular flour but awesome with my evening cup of tea. I missed having a genuine cookie that I could have with my nightly tea and these definitely fit the bill. Onion Poppy Seed Bread — This was my favorite purchase. It was super moist and spongy which is so rare for gluten free bread. It’s full of flavor and toasts really nice too.(they had Challah, whole grain, raisin, sandwich and I think a few more selections). I would like to just stick with this one because it was so absolutely awesome but I also really want to try the other flavors. This is the first time I have been able to enjoy a sandwich in almost a year. THANKYOU!!! I should also mention that the service was super friendly too. I got some great suggestions and will definitely be back next week!

I have been going to Rumi’s Passion Gluten Free Bakery since they opened and have been thrilled! I have tried almost all of their offerings and have yet to find something I don’t enjoy. Favorites include bumpy cake cupcakes, their flour blend, all of their breads, calzones, pita and sub buns(I could really go on and on…) I have celiac and have never had a reaction from anything I have eaten here. My dairy free husband enjoys the variety of gluten and dairy free options here as well. I have been gluten free since 2008 and I feel they are the best option in the area. The bread has to be my favorite thing here! It’s soft, delicious, toasts well and is so good that I have served it to non-GF folks and they usually can’t tell the difference. They have a few options: Multigrain, Challah(with or without sesame seeds), Cinnamon Swirl, White, Pita, and Olive Herb Baguettes(I might be missing a few). The hamburger and hot dog buns are a summer must have. And the sub buns are great too! Oh and they even have soft pretzels! The owners and staff are so friendly, generous with samples, and really do remember the regulars. I appreciate the efforts they make. Of particular note is their cake decorator! She does an incredible job with the various themed cupcakes(depending on season, holiday, or creative inspiration) and the custom cakes I have seen… wow! I feel like few bakeries can compete with the quality and craftsmanship Rumi’s Passion provides. They have even offered natural dyes if that’s your thing. Rumi’s also carry several other gluten free products — pastas(I love the orzo!), snacks, cereals, etc. I haven’t ventured into many of these, with the exception of the pasta, but they are unique as I haven’t seen all of the items in other stores. The building doesn’t seem like much(located in a small strip between a party store and a dog groomer) they have recently upgraded their signage which I think makes them easier to locate. The small shop can get busy, especially on the weekends but, there has always been parking. Sign up for the loyalty card and enjoy the benefits including a free treat on your birthday! If you are gluten-free, definitely check out Rumi’s Passion… and ask questions, I am sure they will be happy to help you!

My boyfriend is a diagnosed celiac and has had quite a struggle adjusting to life without some of his favorite treats. We had high hopes for Rumi’s, but not everything delivered. The angel wing cookies were fantastic, but the cupcakes were very, very dry. The sugar cookies were dense and way too sugarey. We thought that perhaps we were resigned to subpar cake and cupcakes because, hey, if a professional bakery can’t make it taste good, who can? Surprisingly, both King Arthur flour, Bob’s Red Mill and now even Betty Crocker make fantastic gluten free cake and cookie mixes. Sad to say they are far superior to Rumi’s, and much cheaper. Rumi’s take and bake pizza crust was very thin, dry and hard as well. The store does have a decent selection of processed gluten free foods by glutino and other manufacturers, but nothing you can’t find at Hiller’s or Whole Foods.

I am gluten free and finding good baked goods is a hard thing, Love, love, love Rumi’s Passion! We stopped the other day while we were on this side of town. I couldn’t have been happier with the selection to choose from. I got a vanilla cupcake(fantastic), a cherry bar(heavenly) and a fudgy brownies(chewy, rich and yes fudgy) All were a joy to eat! Thank you Rumi Passion!(They can be found in Nino Savaggios and Vince & Joe’s around the Detroit area also)

Gluten free bakery treats that are moist and stay fresh. That is a hard combination to achieve, but Rumi’s Passion does it well! I have had their bakery items for quite some time and drive to the Plymouth location from my home in Shelby Township. My last trip in, I stocked up on rolls & cookies(for the freezer, they thaw beautifully) and had my new #1 favorite breakfast treat: Lemon Sour Cream Coffee Cake. Wow! My husband and daughter ate it for breakfast two days in a row and that NEVER happens with my gluten-free foods. It was delicious because it was moist with a perfect combination of lemon and sweetness. Over the weekend, we also ate the lemon cookies. My best review of the cookies is they were soft, good tasting, and are still soft today — 3 days later. It is my opinion that Rumi’s Passion makes their gluten free bakery items as delicious as traditional bakery items and it well worth the trip!
