This is a «Run of the Mill» soft serve Ice cream place.(like the Dairy Queen Style). The food is good and they have a lot of selections. Their prices seem pretty standard. The only reason I gave them 3 stars(average) is since they made the drive through and the indoor ordering it took away from the atmosphere of walking up to the corner ice cream place on a summer evening. I will still come here when I’m in the mood for something close, but I guess I just prefer the walk-up style ice cream places in the summer. There is one not too far, I guess, If I need that experience.

Absolutely wonderful! The small size is absolutely huge, making this a great deal. A perk is you can also wash your car while you eat there, I mean, why not? There is a drive-thru, but I don’t recommend it because I went once, and the drive-thru was full and it took about 10 – 15 min. to get your ice-cream, but 5 min. tops if you went inside

Top of the cone is super close to where we live, yet I have never visited until tonight. What better way to end an indulging dinner than with some ice cream?! About a week ago the news reported that the most popular and best selling ice cream flavor in the United States is vanilla. Call me boring, but this is what I typically prefer for my sundaes as well. Curiously enough Top of the cone does not sell vanilla ice cream? In softserve they do, but regular old icecream only comes in a plethora of ‘fancy’ flavors like cookie dough and superman. Erin had a hot fudge sundae and seems to be convinved the fudge is Sanders, and who am I to doubt the Sanders loving man I love? I had a marshmallow sundae with softserve vanilla ice cream. The soft serve kinda changed the experience as I normally prefer this with what they call ‘hard’ ice cream. All in all a pretty average little ice cream joint. I am excited to try out their regular ice cream, eventhough I am feeling slightly cold about the whole foolish lack of vanilla ice cream thing. Such a fail.

I always get a flurry with chocolate ice cream and double peanut butter cups. They use large chunks of high quality peanut butter cups and it is the most delicious flurry around, better than the other local places and even all the DQ’s in the area. And at a good price. They even have a drive thru… we call them TOTC for short.

Ice cream is ice cream, sometimes. We usually go to a place closer to our house, and the staff there may be friendlier because they know us, but the ladies working at Top of the Cone seemed pretty stand-offish and annoyed that all these customers were coming in. I suppose that made them efficient, anyway. The ice cream was fine, and it was nice to have a choice of soft serve ice cream, hard packed ice cream(is that what it’s called?) or frozen yogurt all at one stop. There were a few tables available over by the car wash, but you had to walk across the parking lot(not a long distance, but pretty busy to control a toddler excited about ice cream). They got the job done, but nothing to write home about.

Want some good ice cream? Just stop on by Top of the Cone for some simple yet great ice cream. It’s inexpensive and the staff is friendly which makes me want to come back here. It’s also got a car wash next to it so if you’re waiting on your car to finish, walk on over and get some ice cream! This place has been around for a while and looks like it’ll be here for many more years!
