We love this place! So close to base, good food, great prices and military discounts.

I have eaten here three times in three years, each time hoping they would improve. Alas not a bit. Their«famous Rubin» has almost no meat, the grease saturates the bread, the sauce is tasteless as is the sourkraut. This place just does not have the slightest idea how to make a decent sandwich or anything else that I can see.

Breakfast food isn’t that hard, but they screwed it up in a bunch of ways: — Bacon came out floppy, sad, and soggy. — «Two eggs over easy» came out as a mess of 3 – 4 egg whites and yolks, with approximately one partially liquid yolk, but worse, a huge gob of transparent and under-cooked egg white. I don’t know what they were going for, but just start over, dude. There was nothing«over easy» about it. — Toast came dry, un-buttered, and the waitress offered no butter. When we asked, she seemed confused, and brought out a saucer with a scoop of kitchen butter. I really don’t get all these high-star reviews. If this place pulled off their intention perfectly, they would deserve four stars at best: there is nothing fancy, special, nor memorable about their ingredients, recipes, etc, they are just a generic diner, and not a very good one.

Food was good! Service not so good… As a waitress myself I may notice these things more but still… Server did not ask us how anything was or if we needed anything, threew the bill down on the counter(nothing said) and did not even say thank you have a good day etc. very unfriendly and just expected a tip for being there type of thing. Not impressed with this but again, food was good!

food was good, staff was great however the bill was more than the items on the menu. This happened a 3 weeks ago when we visited(we have eaten here about ½ dozen times this year) where the bill was about 15% more than the price on the menu. It was explained it was a computer problem, but 3 weeks later the same thing. when I asked about the higher price they fixed the bill, but with the same explanation. 3 weeks is more than enough to fix the problem. Although they correct my bill, I felt somewhat cheated with the same problem. If I had not notice the difference I would have paid more than I should have. This needs to get fixed ASAP. Either fix the menu or the computer.

Stopped here for breakfast. My husband had the Irish Benny which was delicious. I had the Italian omelet which was very tasty as well. Good food at decent prices.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Walked in there and every person in the place walked by me without a word. I didn’t know if I should take a table or wait to be seated. After 6 or 7 minutes of being ignored I decided to seat myself(at a dirty table) 10 mins later the waitress came by and cleared the table. From the time we ordered our food till the time it came was 38mins. Everyone in the place was complaining about how slow the staff was. One of the waitresses commented that everyone was hung over and that’s why they were slow. After the food finally arrived everything was under cooker. I had a runny omelet that was cold. My wife had undercooked French toast with raw bacon. My son did have pancakes that he enjoyed. I would add that each plate had about 6 home fries on it. Now I’m not saying I need a plate full but this portion was pathetic although I didn’t eat them as those were re-fried and burnt almost beyond recognition. I read all the great reviews for this place but I have to say it was the worst breakfast food and experience I’ve ever had. I will note at least 10 other people walked in and were ignored at the door like I was. I just wish I turned and walked out like they did! Stay away from this place

Conveniently located just north of the Otis Rotary on RT28S, this traditional diner cart is the perfect place to have breakfast. They have plenty of parking, pretty much any meat & bread option you can think of for breakfast, and amazing homemade hash. Hoagie Knows Best!

Definitely a local hangout spot. The food was good and reasonably priced. I got a chix parm sandwich, 8″ with fries for 8.75, and finished it. The bread complemented the food perfectly(not soggy). If I were being highly critical I would say the chix reminded me of frozen Perdue or Tyson and the sauce had a touch of sweetness. Again, I ate it all and that’s how I came up with a 4⁄5. Enjoy

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Hoagies Coffee was good and the waitress was very nice. Cute little vintage diner setting, that is kept very clean. I appreciate turkey bacon being offered and it was good quality. The home fries are delicious and the breakfast sandwich was tasty. My breakfast companion loved the hash. Only thing I would recommend is to have some special dishes that are unique to the diner.

A perfect little diner. Cozy and friendly with delicious comfort food, while it might be out of the way for most of the Cape it is definitely worth the trip if you have a hankering for some great greasy spoon fare. Eggs Benedict are one of my favorite dishes and this place makes them perfectly. The Irish benny is pretty great as well. Sausages are the short, plump delicious kind that goes so well with a short stack and maple syrup. I have it on great authority the coffee is excellent as well.

This was such a great diner experience! The waitstaff was super friendly and the food was amazing. I had the Irish Benny after reading the reviews of the Eggs Benedict and the hash, which are both included in this dish. The waitress confirmed I was making a good choice! My dad and husband both loved their Italian omelettes and my mom enjoyed her waffle. The atmosphere is great! Check out the pictures on the wall! There is a Norman Rockwell remake starring a member of the local police force and his sons.

I’m torn here. My wife got home fries, bacon and a cheese omelet. Everything she had was great. I, on the other hand, had the worst biscuits and gravy ever made. The sausage were sliced, the biscuits were greasy and thin and the gravy was terrible. I was also served limp, oily hash browns that I topped with terrible ketchup. Bottom line, stick to the basics and you will have a good meal here. Just don’t get too fancy.

Sausage and onion sandwich was very good. Fries were excellent but they could have been more generous. Reasonably sure I was shorted a pickle but not sure since menus were taken away after ordering like they contained classified info. The service was fast and attentive. The speed that I got my food is a little suspicious though. Maybe a bit too fast.

How do you describe a place that you wish was everything you wanted but just was A-OK. While nothing was wrong per se, I didn’t get that«family» feel people wrote about. The wait staff was not busy but it seemed like I waited and waited for my breakfast. I wish this was something other than what I could do at home better. It wasn’t.

The eggs benedict here were amazing! I have been wanting to try eggs benedict for a while and bookmarked this place. On Saturday after reading some reviews, I came here to have my 1st eggs benny here and I’m addicted. It was delicious! My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak, also very very good. Yum! The wait staff was quick and friendly. This is a popular local spot where everyone knows each other. Loved the atmosphere.

A genuine, family-owned diner in Bourne! Boy were we surprised by this place. My boyfriend and I love diners, and stopped in here on a whim after an event. It was about 3pm on Saturday, and we thought the place may be closed, but they waved us on in. Our waitress was the owner’s daughter, which is a cool thing to me. She was very friendly and helpful. We had the chowder, eggs benny, and fish & chips. LOVED the chowder, it had great flavour and the right creamy broth/clam/potato ratio. I was over the moon about my eggs benedict, and have no qualms naming it the best eggs benny I have ever had on the Cape. My boyfriend’s fish & chips were quite good as well. SURPRISE in the middle of eating, we hear hooting and hollering and cheers from the kitchen. Our waitress comes back out with a huge smile on her face — they have just won«Best Chili» against established Cape names like Sam Diego’s! Elated for their victory, I ordered two cups of chili to try, and the owner gave them to us on the house! After trying it, we had to say it’s some of the best chili we’ve ever had. It’s not«spicy» but it has a very pleasant slow burn that stays with you. It would make the best chili nachos ever. They are still new, and working on improving visibility and signage. I would highly recommend you give it a try. This has the potential to be come«our place.» We left smiling, happy, and excited to return.
