At Elmer’s the food is good, albeit expensive for a diner. It has a nice open seating plan so you can feel comfortable while eating. It is a great place to take a large party, as they seem well equips to handle multiple orders at once.

We stopped for lunch while traveling through Pocatello even though it was a little further from the interstate than typical fast food choices. It is across the street from the Idaho State University campus and appeared to be a popular place with both student types as well as the older after church crowd. We ordered their clam chowder and split a burger, both were quite good. But our server made the stop very pleasant. She was friendly, efficient and attentive. The menu had so many choices including breakfast even though it was around one o’clock in the afternoon. Lots of parking available both on the street and their own parking lot. We will certainly try to stop here again on our next trip through!

Heard about how great this place was so I tried it. Ordered the German pancake combo, came with thick cut bacon but it was dry from sitting around for awhile, not cooked fresh to order. The Pancake kicked ass, very lite and tasty. The service wad good my waiter very friendly. Had a order of potato pancake it was just ok. Spent $ 15 for a ok breakfast, was disappointed after hearing how great this place was.

Elmer’s is a great comfort food restaurant. It has everything you could want! Even a veggie burger! I will have to try that one day. I usually get the french toast and hashbrowns. Breakfast is served all day. Yes, breakfast is served all day! I like the new booth seats. They were lookin’ pretty shabby. The bathroom needs some serious TLC, though. They have wifi, which is perfect for being near a university. Maybe I can bring my laptop in, have some pie and write my research papers here. That sounds perfect! Elmer’s is a supper yummy place to grab a bite to eat and relax with family and friends.

I have been a customer for a few years now and I have always enjoyed their food after a tough night;) but I went in a few days ago and I ordered hashbrowns and unfortunately I found what looked like a beard hair(please god). I did inform a manager about it and hopefully they won’t let it happen again but I will not be eating here

Good food, great service German pancakes and you can get a mimosa with your breakfast those are all wins but the big«win» here is it looks like the diner from Pulp Fiction

Love the atmosphere here and the location is right below the college campus. The food is good and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. My mom and I wanted to split a meal and the cooks cut our omelette and pancakes in half and put them on plates for each of us! Just for this reason, I will continue to go back.

So we sat next to the window overlooking the beautiful mountains while enjoying the yummy breakfast food that we had ordered. From the veggie omelette to the variety of pancakes, hashbrowns and eggs we were all satisfied by the quality of the food! Did we leave pretty heavy and barely not able to move? Definitely! The food is on the heavy side but you will leave that place on the happy side :-)

Elmers is an excellent place to stop and have a wonderful hot breakfast. The Northwest skillet of cheesy scrambled eggs with vegetables was delicious. It’s a huge meal and so I would not order anything else along with it unless you are hungry beyond imagination. The house made biscuits are delicious soft and served warm with butter. The hungry ranchers breakfast contains bacon, sausage and and ham with three eggs and hashbrowns. This also comes with the warm house biscuit. All the ingredients were fresh. The vegetables and the skillet were cooked all dented. The coffee was delicious, the best coffee we’ve had on this road trip so far. The service was excellent there was no wait for the check nor for its return in the food came quickly the waitresses were friendly and accommodating. Sat by the front window looking out at the university just across the street. We’d eat here again!

We couldn’t have been more disappointed after a long day on the road. My wife’s hot chocolate was cold and was sent back to dilute the sickening sweetness. My 16-year old son’s German pancake had no powdered sugar and lacked all flavor. My peanut butter milkshake was all peanut butter and no ice cream. We were told our food was poor because it was the end of the day, plus the manager had been dealing with some problems all day. The waiter, Abigale, was very friendly. She was the only enjoyable part of the meal.

I love eating at places that have items on their menu that are unique to them. The German Pancakes are definitely a must try! Pair it up with eggs and their Applewood Chicken Sausage and you’ve got a winning combination.

Seriously amazing breakfast. I’m not sure what they do to their hash browns but they were the best. The service was friendly and prompt, we loved eating there.

YUM!!! This place was a great find! The menu had so many delicious options, I had a hard time making up my mind!!! I ended up with a skillet breakfast and it was BOMB. Hit the spot!!! The service was great, and very attentive. The really cool thing about this place — they use social media to market themselves. The menu was full of Instagram pictures that their customers have taken! I’ve never seen that anywhere else. They also had Unilocal tee-pees on each table. I’ll definitely be back next time I am in Pocatello! I need to try the benedicts!

I ordered the German pancake with lingonberry butter on the side. I tried the traditional lemon and sugar first and found that more tasty than with the lingonberry butter. The service was prompt and friendly. My waitress even gave me a to-go cup of iced tea. The cook was quick also, less than 15 minutes to make the pancake. I’ve heard that these take a bit of time to make at other restaurants. I was in for lunch and they were slightly busy but didn’t have problems keeping up. I always like a good«breakfast served all day» restaurant since that’s my favorite meal.

I had such a pleasant experience eating here yesterday, I had to write a review. This place is located near Idaho State University, which can always be a hit or miss in service and quality of food. I would rate the food here a 4(keep in mind it’s diner food not fine dining) & the service a 5 +! I ordered the potatoe cakes(which were yummy) and a crêpe. Although filling and very much a diner experience, I enjoyed the great service and hospitality I received. The wait staff definitely are attentive and even gave me a coffee to go. I will be sure to check this place out again when I head to Pocatello.

Probably the best place in Pocatello, ID. for breakfast. This little place is right on a main street that runs through to the center of town. It sits across the street from ISU and is a fairly popular place for students and family. Their food is very tasty, almost home cooked you might say. Thick, crispy bacon, eggs cooked just how I ordered them and the country gravy was fantastic. Staff is always busy but still friendly and helpful in bringing you anything you might need. Overall a nice place to eat and a great value for the amount of food you get.
