Your lifeguards SUCK. I almost drowned at this beach but thankfully my Mom made me go through years of swimming lessons and despite my many efforts to get the lifeguards to help me by waving my arms wildly I did manage to survive. Pulling myself ashore only to have the morons look at me as I was coughing out water from my lungs, and not even asking if I was ok. Since then I knew never to trust your lifeguards and this summer 2015 my SISTER, not a trained lifeguard pulled out a guy your lifeguards ignored and he ended up being taken away by ambulance. We don’t know if is alive or dead, but your lifeguards ignored my sisters cries for help and obviously this man who my sister clearly saw was in trouble and isn’t even a trained professional. IMPROVEYOURSTANDARDS… NOW!

This place is a typical«tourist trap.» The food is super greasy and pretty nauseating. We were there on the 9th of October(not exactly the busy season) but the outdoor tables were not cleaned, and although there were at least seven people behind the counter and two on line, it took over five minutes to get our order in. The lovely young gal behind the bar chose to ignore us as she was busy flirting with a male customer, and had to be verbally summoned although again, there were hardly any other customers. Perhaps if one went in just to get a couple of beers the place would be acceptable. It is a pretty safe bet to say that if a place serves alcoholic beverages on the boardwalk, one should stay away from the food.

The food is really pretty good, with a good variety. The crab cake is mostly crab, as it should be. The sliders were tasty. My shrimp salad was very good — shrimp grilled nicely, good flavor. I thought maybe it wouldn’t be filling, but it was. Our waiter was great about getting us into the shade while still outdoors. It’s our go-to place when we go down to Pt. Pleasant Beach for the day.

This place is pretty ok. We dined here earlier in the day for lunch at the Jenkinson’s Pavillion Fast Food Counter earlier in the day for lunch. For a fast food counter I had a pretty decent grilled fish sandwich. While enjoying my lunch, I noticed a sign advertising their happy hour. $ 1 oysters, clams, and $ 5 shrimp cocktail. The seafood at the raw bar was fresh, the oysters were huge, and the clams were good. There was just one problem; these fresh seafood items were not part of the happy hour seafood special. The bartender informed us that the seafood appetizers for happy hour are prepared in the kitchen. It was not the jumbo shrimp, or colossal oysters sitting on ice right in front of me. Now, I was a little surprised how good my grilled sandwich was during lunch, but I decided not to push my luck for the unknown. Thank you bartender for the heads up. There was also another down side to their happy hour. It included $ 2 Miller-Lite, and Coors. $ 2 for chilled piss water? I don’t think so. :) Later that night my large party wanted to dine at another location for dinner. When that place denied us due to having three teenagers in our party, we decided to go back to Jenkinson’s Pavillion. Again, the food was pretty decent. Other than the raw bar, I wouldn’t rush to eat here again. Our waitress was really cool, and very attentive to my party of 12 on her own.

Lots of stuff to do. Beautiful beach that is very clean and well maintained. Food prices are reasonable. I didn’t go on the rides but they also looked well maintained. Wish they had more of a variety of arcade games though– it was mostly skee ball and those claw machines. I do agree that there needs to be better signage as to what is/isn’t allowed on the beach– the only place where I found out that no alchohol allowed is the website. Still– a great place for some good clean fun.

There are no signs that say no alcohol. They will charge you to go on the beach(which in and of itself is pathetic), THEN stop you and say no alcohol. Even though the jap princess taking money saw us with a cooler. Then they will not refund your money. Then the tough guy gang on quads will surround you and ignore your requests. What a waste of a day

Have been here with the family several times over the past few years — a good place to go when your group has different tastes(especially finicky kids). A variety of choices from pizza to sushi. I was happy with my Chicken Cheesesteak. Pizza was good too. No worries!

Monday nights at Jenkinsons Oceanside has ALL you can eat crab legs after 4pm-until they run out for $ 39.99 If you like crab legs and enjoy eating along the ocean then this deal is for you. I only regret that we showed up at 8pm and sadly their almost, all you can eat, crab legs ran out around 9pm. We were bummed, but what can you do. They were good and there’s nothing better than getting the beach and ocean view. Make sure you bring a sweatshirt if you’re going at night as the winds can make things chilly even in July. I would get there earlier next time. Also, make sure you try the homemade ceasar salad side order that comes with the crab. The best dressing I’ve ever had. We stopped by Jenkinsons Pavillion –which is the take out/dine in but not as fancy and cheaper to get the ceasar salad. Turns out the dressing is different, but the service we received was so nice as the employee went over to Jenks Oceanside and brought over the homemade ceasar dressing we adored. Very nice of him and of course we tipped him well.

This place has gone downhill. I went with a group of friends over the weekend and had an unpleasant experience. Our orders arrived burned or cold, and without the requested sides. The waitress kept forgetting to serve my nephew’s meal(we literally flagged her down about 4x). After sitting through the worst dining experience, we asked for management, which of course, was no better than the waitress. She was rude, non receptive to our concerns, and asked us «okay, well what do you want me to do about it?» This used to be my «go to» restaurant every time I would visit Point Pleasant. Sadly, I won’t be returning after this. It was THAT bad.

Love this place! When the warmer weather starts rolling in this is my go to place! From awesome bartenders to great music, not to mention the great view, you can’t go wrong! I always have a great time, definitely is my favorite place at the Jersey Shore!

This is a beautiful place to go eat and see a nice view. Nice staff, nice area, and very good food. This is defiantly somewhere you should visit during the summer. Great to go with the family or just to hangout with friends. You can’t go wrong great prices and great food! Very worth it.

This is only for the pizza. Perhaps I should’ve gone to Joey’s Tomatoes instead. But had one mushroom slice on the boardwalk last night at a place a little before Jenkinsons. Now I live in North Jersey and know the best pizza for about $ 1.50 a slice. As is often the case on this boardwalk one slice cost $ 4.00. Mediocre with weak crust and flavor. Way overpriced!

Terrible service. Average food at best. Our waitress was a wacko but at least she was pleasant. It took them forever to bring out our appetizer and soup. When our food finally arrived it was mostly cold. Not once during our meal did anyone ask us how everything was or if we needed anything. Not even more drinks. I didn’t have very high expectations and I was still disappointed.

So Jenkinson’s is the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk. Best part for me is that they offer free fireworks during the summer on Thursday nights and free movies on Friday nights. The aquarium is small but pretty awesome and they have feedings daily for different animals. The games are a complete rip off, the one guy who works there who inside the arcade part, Steve, I hope is just a disgruntled college student because he was quite a jerk to me and my friends. If you wanna spend $ 20 to kill some time and win a paper airplane go for it. The food is also totally overpriced, expect a cheeseburger for $ 12. If you go during peak summer expect drunk college kids in the pavilion. During the off peak times of year it’s much quieter, cleaner and generally a nice atmosphere.

If you can get past the guys awkwardly large arms, terrible tans, and Staten Island women, it’s not that bad. Typical Jersey Shore venue. Only a New Jerseyian or a tourist could appreciate it.

We make this place our yearly stop to enjoy the shrimp ready to peel and eat on ice at the clam bar. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar and have some seafood. Doreen who works the bar is an amazing bartender. So attentive and friendly. Besides the shrimp she may be the reason we continue to come back.

This is the good old Jenkinson’s! I haven’t been back in years because I’ve long grown out of the boardwalk scene. But this past summer, I started going back since I have 2 young kids. THEYLOVEDIT! They loved the rides, the ice cream, the sand. Jenkinsons can get crowded but its always clean and the staff are friendly. I recommend buying the 2 for 1 books on Easter Weekend. Its the only weekend that they sell their ticket books 2 for 1. For diet friendly meals — try the Martell’s tiki bar, on the left they have a raw bar where they serve salads for about $ 15 – 17. I bought a delicious grilled fish salad while my husband enjoyed his fried clam sandwich and ginormous bucket of fries.

Jersey shore boardwalk pizza. Totally the real deal. Huge, cheesy, thin, foldable, tangy sauce, great crust. Perfect! If you have not experienced it than THIS is the spot!

This is the«boardwalk pizza» you’ve been hearing about — still, one of my favorite places to get a slice. It’s done just the way I like it: soft, thin crust pizza with quality ingredients. Away from the pizzeria-style food, the restaurant portion serves everything from prime rib to pasta, salad, traditional seafood and even sushi. It’s pricey — expect over $ 20 per plate for entrees. The restaurant has an amazing view, especially during the summer season. Enjoy those palm trees while they’re up.

There are great views of the beach from the bar! The boardwalk is completely repaired and ready for customers. Not even a reminder Hurricane Sandy was even around. There is an inside bar it looks a bit old and lots of regulars. There is a nice outside bar reminiscent of a bar i’d see in Key West, small but efficient. It was a beautiful day so we sat here and had a drink. I met a few interesting characters. Across from the bar were a good amount of tables where people could order food and take in the sights of the beach .Down from there and directly on the beach were more tables with umbrellas, so basically you have your pick of where to sit. There is full waitress service. I had already eaten so we didn’t order food here but i could see what people were ordering and it looked like typical beach food. The staff was friendly but lets face it your here for the beach or the views. From what i saw i still think they need to iron out some problems in the restaurant but that could be do to Sandy. Down a ways you have the arcade and rides. This is a good place to bring the family.
