Just went to the bar did not eat. The bar is nice and convenient but was empty. The service was average and the drinks mediocre at best and no happy hour.

This is the most unique garden on Kauai, special and well worth a visit. There is much history here. It was originally cultivated in the 1930s by Alexandra«Sandie» Moir, the wife of Hector, the manager of Koloa Sugar Plantation, Hawaii’s first. They started with the usual lush and colorful flowering plants found in Hawaii, like ginger and hibiscus, but found they didn’t flourish. So they switched to plants more suited to Poipu’s arid climate: rare cactus and succulents, bromeliads and orchids. The gardens would include mature trees and lily ponds and those native to the island, such as wiliwili, hau, coconut and plumeria. By 1948, this was reported to be «one of the ten best cactus and succulent gardens in the world.» It still is today. Open for a free stroll every day You should definitely stop off and enjoy. It’s in the grounds of Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation, right next to Plantation Gardens Restaurant & Bar.
