Touristy and pricey but the food was absolutely divine and the service was great. The seating is mainly outdoors and it can get a tad buggy.

Really didn’t care too much for this restaurant. The menu is very limited. No view at all. I’m not sure why all the great reviews.

Bigger than you’d expect with an inviting atmosphere, responsive wait staff and fantastic food. The bar and dining menus are different but equally delicious. I had the fish tacos from the bar and they were fantastic. Another person in our party had the fish special with coconut rice and I’d recommend asking for the rice regardless of your entrée choice. It’s two thumbs up. The hula pie is a great way to top off your already stuffed belly!

Excellent dinner here the first night the hubby and I were in Kaua’i. The fish was just out of control fresh and delicious. Our waitress was top notch and spent a lot of time explaining the food and types of fish they had that night. Drinks were delicious too. We were excited to be there and the ambiance was great with a awesome live band! Couldn’t have gotten better!

Wonderful Ahi meal. The Poke Tower was excellent, and they have pretty decent fish tacos. The grilled fish platter with soba noodles was tasty but a bit too sweet for my tastes. The outside seating and ambience is terrific, however and made for some pretty photos. We came here for lunch so it got a little pricey, but overall great place to eat.

Martin was our waiter and he was wonderful! Very on point, friendly and he knew the menu well! I was pregnant at the time and he knew exactly what fish to recommend. He looked so busy, but we never felt rushed or forgotten! The restaurant has an indoor/outdoor feel with a beautiful pond/waterfall in the middle. It was very relaxing and perfect for a night out. The bar area looked like it was very busy with lots of people enjoying themselves. We had reservations and were seated right away! Food was delicious and menu changes daily to offer the freshest fish possible. Even though I’m technically not supposed to eat raw fish, I couldn’t resist trying the Big Eye Tuna Sashimi! It was literally the best I have ever had! the quality was spot on, melt in your mouth delicious!

Great food and super friendly service. Our server, Martina, was the best. The lobster tails are out of this world ! We had the chocolate hula pie for desert and it was amazing. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and views to boot.

My husband and I went to the bamboo bar last nite for dinner. We had a fabulous dinner. Chico was singing and playing his guitar. His music and humor added a lot of fun you our evening. We had a fantastic server Mrtina. She let us sit for awhile before ordering and enjoy the surroundings. I had the pork sandwich which was tender and very flavorful. My husband had the 3 sliders which he thought were all delicious. This has been our favorite dinner spot this visit. I wish we had found it sooner. I can’t wait to come back to poipu and dine here again.

3.5Stars Overall (Late December 2015) 5Star Service: attentive, friendly, knowledgeable waiter. 4Star Ambiance: A wonderful surprise once you’re inside; reminds me a bit of tiki bars from Oahu in the 1960s… and that’s a good thing! 3Star Food: good quality, well prepared but, nothing to write home about. I recommend this place if you’re in the area but, I think it’s a bit overpriced compared to other choices in the area.

Second time eating here on our visit. Delicious! Carrot pineapple muffins to start so good . Seafood risotto a must have The seafood duo with butterfish and swordfish melt in your mouth fresh caught on island Cilantro jalapeños margarita has a nice kick very refreshing Miso scallops a must in house smoked bacon gets you taste buds moving, Dinosaur kale salad was delightful with local goat cheese, Finished off with hula pie four of us shared one piece, This is a must go to place to eat the atmosphere is lovely, have been on both sides of restaurant the bar side and fine dinning the bar side has a bar menu and the same menu as dinning side, service is very attentive and friendly lots of personality. Pricing is a bit on the high side but still worth it. Try a sampling of the menu by sharing what you all have ordered is always a great way to keep cost lower but able to still explore the goodness of the Menu ! ENJOY !

Don’t let the strip mall exterior scare you away — this place is adorable. Once you walk in — you completely forget the exterior or that there is a road just beyond the pond. We sat in the bar area(the wait is much less AND it’s adorable out there) but could still order off the dining menu if we wanted. I got a carafe of wine(don’t judge — I was on vacation :)) and it was the perfect amount for me. The two gentlemen singing were so good. I didn’t want to leave! But I knew I had to get out of there before I ordered another carafe of wine. The food was pretty good but I wouldn’t go here just for the food. Go for drinks and small bites and stay for the music!

There’s a reason why this restaurant is top of the list on Unilocal for Poipu, HI. We have been there twice as a large group and will be there at least one more time before we head back to the mainland. The Filet mignon was cooked perfectly, with a fantastic mushroom butter sauce. The dinosaur kale is delicious — and a must — especially enjoyed the pomegranate and figs in the salad! On the second trip I had the braised short rib, which was very tasty, but a bit fatty, but not enough to bring rating down to a 4 stars. I did enjoy the ability to order«carb free» and substitute rice and potatoes with vegetables. Others in our group had prime rib and the Brussels sprouts — which were very good. While I’m allergic to fish — the others in our group — said the fish was very tasty — but follow the servers recommendation on preparation. And finally the HULAPIES are out of this world! Don’t miss the peppermint ones if there during the Holiday Season! Our servers have been very helpful, responsive and an asset to the experience.

2 words: HULAPIE. One of the best places to get the most amazing desserts on the island. It’s a huge slice of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, Mac nuts, Oreo crust, and most importantly(for me) fudge sauce. This decadent dessert will have you coming back for more. You can even get it free on your next visit if you save your receipt, or if it’s your birthday. There’s not many places that are open when I’m off of work at 10 pm, but Keoki’s was accommodating and sat us down at 10:22 pm. We ordered our food quickly and the food came out in 10 mins or so. We ordered a cheddar burger, fish and chips and a hula pie. The burger was delicious, I’ve tried many burgers on the island and this is my favorite so far. The burger was cooked perfectly and the buns were so soft. Usually the buns would get soggy because of the dressing and juices from the burger, but this one kept it’s shape. The fries are so good too! Nice crunchy exterior and pillowy soft interior. I didn’t try my husband’s fish and chips, but he said it was great. Whenever I get a burger or hula pie craving, which is all the time, I’ll be back at Keoki’s!

I’m taking two stars off on this visit(we had dinner there last night) for two reasons: 1. The server was pretty apathetic. He was nice but not interested in serving us. We don’t know why but noticed he was very chatty and friendly to every table but ours. Wish we had Cat again. It took away from the experience. 2. Whomever the bartender was last night was not as good as the one who worked on our previous/first visit. The pineapple mojito was not remotely as tasty as the one from the first visit. If it were, I would have ordered a few more. I could hardly finish the one and ended up stealing my girlfriend’s Poipu piña instead. The prime rib was as delicious as the first time. The calamari was the same. The BBQ pork ribs were amazing. Don’t know if it was the imu cooking method or the quality of the meat or the BBQ sauce or a combo of it all… but that was one delicious rack of ribs! I had to ask my gf to give me a rib… or two. I was excited to try the famous hula pie. We got the mint hula pie and it was a complete let down. It’s not worth it even if it’s free. I’m picky about my mint ice cream and that ice cream didn’t fit the nice Oreo crust. Skip the pie, or maybe get the original one because maybe that one is tastier. What really disappointed me was the fact the 4 items we had on the menu were all great and we’d happily recommend them to anyone, and them that hula pie messes it all up. I don’t get how they’re even in the same category, much less menu. They’re not on the same level and that dessert cheapened the deliciousness of everything else we had.

I only stopped by for dessert since I heard this place had the best Hula pie. It was very good, worth checking out.

I love this place. It’s a must visit for us when we visit Kauai. I enjoy sitting on the bar side which is more casual and has live music quite often. The ambiance is fun and light, the drinks are good and so is the service. While the food isn’t the best I’ve ever had, the atmosphere is fun and inviting and makes up for it. The hula pie is a must order! It’s wonderful!

We found this restaurant while looking around the shopping centers in Poipu. The ambiance is perfect with the pond and lush greenery, the décor fits perfectly with the island feel. We got a seat right by the pond since it was slow at lunchtime on a weekday. The drinks were delicious, loved the cute touch of the tiki glasses. Our coconut shrimp app had an amazing guava dipping sauce with the perfect kick. My fish tacos were great, the Cajun spice was well balance by the cool crème and guacamole. My chips and salsa were stale so I skipped those. Husband got the slider trio. It was a great way to sample the different meats(kahlua pork, beef, and fish) and even had 3 different buns. It was a bit pricey for lunch, but still a great dining experience.

The service wasn’t great as they were busy and our waiter was rushing everywhere, the manufactured scenery/garden was cheesy, and we spent a ton of money, and we got bit by mosquitoes a few times(it was so bad we asked for bugspray, and four other tables did the same). But the food was so damn good that it gets 5 stars, and the free muffins were the star of the show(and the hula pie). Pros: 1. MUFFINS!!! They had carrot in them, which sounds gross, but they were so good, and cinnamon butter to go with it. We had a ton of them, and took some to go, they were amazing. They were even amazing cold the next day out of the fridge. Holy cow, the muffins… 2. Food was really good, we went nuts and had multiple appetizers and entrees and dessert, and everything was really good. The Fish Combo(that night it had mong chong and opa in it) with two different preparation styles and sauces, and good crisp veggies and perfectly cooked rice — yummy! And the taro gnocchi was excellent too. The Hula Pie is a must have, be gluttonous, and enjoy! 3. We like the wood work on the ceilings, very open and light and airy, well done. Cons: 1. Bugs were all over the place, and I think it is because of their«water features»(aka stagnant water attracting mosquitoes) — we had to ask for bugspray, luckily they had it, but it was already too late. That was the only place in all of Kauai where we got bit(in June/July). 4 other tables did the same, we started a trend, it was bad. 2. Service was spotty, no check up after food being served, no recognition of a special occasion, no real customer service — the waiter was rushed the whole time, sweating up a storm, scatter brained, forgetful, and not apologetic. If the food wasn’t amazing we would have had a big problem. 3. Drinks were watered down, hardly any alcohol in them at all, and pricey. Get the muffins and hula pie people!

Muffins are like crack. So buttery and warm! Pineapple drink: 3⁄5. Fun touristy drink that’s good for pics. 99% juice. Couldn’t taste any alcohol. $ 14 so def pricey for what it is. I like that their menu changes every 6 months so I can experience something new each time. Farmers Market Salad: 3⁄5. Not bad but nothing special Potato & Onion Crusted Ahi: 4.5÷5. Yummy! The crispy bed of rice with the green sauce were my fave. Ahi was a little bland. Keoki’s Style: 5⁄5. Fish was buttery soft and perfectly seasoned. Hoisin Braised Beef Short Rib: 3⁄5. Omg so fatty… Couldn’t finish it cuz the greasiness was turning me off… not bad tasting just doesn’t really work with my taste buds… Overall, good service and pretty good food. Worth a stop if you’re on the island and want a full serviced meal.

Keoki’s is Hawaiian tiki bar meets restaurant. The menu is the usual mix: meats, seafood, and cocktails. I knew I had to have a drink in a pineapple so I opted for the Poipu Piña(fresh pineapple and mint blended with coconut rum, passion fruit, and coconut cream. It filled up a good portion of the pineapple. It was thick but refreshing. My husband and I shared: Fried Calamari Strips(panic breaded with Meyer lemon remoulade and guava cocktail sauce) — calamari was crispy and tender and the sauces were unique compliments to a seafood dish that is otherwise usually served with a red sauce. Koloa Pork Ribs(slow cooked Imu style with plum bbq sauce)-A hearty portion but I wasn’t too crazy about the sauce) Chocolate hula pie(Oreo cookie crust, chocolate ice cream, salted caramel)-A dessert so epic, you gave to eat it with a spork. A cute kitschy restaurant that is a must visit for tourists(the owners have a few similar restaurants in Hawaii)
