Have they moved or changed owners? We’ve been going to Roberts Tree Farm for several years, and it was different this year. Different entrance, different parking lot, and no more little buildings with displays, crafts, coffee, and such. It was in the same general area, but I don’t think it was on the same property — no little bridge over the creek that we are used to walking to. When we got there, I kept thinking my GPS was confused — we used to drive up a little road into a parking«loop» with the big chimes. Remember those? This is not the same place it was last year. The people there were VERY friendly though — no issues there. I guess I just don’t like change. And I did miss the little shop and the nativity display.

2015 was our second trip to Roberts, and it’s definitely gone downhill since just last year. It used to have a small group of buildings that were kind of like a Christmas village. A few of the buildings were shops, while one had free cider. Not anymore. It seems like whoever used to run this place gave up, and a few young kids now work there to take your money. Sure, it’s cheap, but they don’t maintain the place, and good luck finding a good tree. They don’t trim or maintain the trees, so most, if not all, the trees available are either right next to other trees(meaning half the tree you find has no branches), or the tree was previously cut and has three trees growing from it. We walked around for 45 minutes and could not find a half way decent tree, and we are not selective. While we there it was kind of like Deliverance. A toothless local was meandering about with a huge, aggressive dog off leash. Some local kids were hiding below the bridge and throwing things at my kid. Seriously, this place is horrible. It’s like what a Christmas tree farm would be like five years after the Zombie apocalypse. Wild and overgrown with creepy monsters lurking about.

Came in the middle of a giant gnarly storm, hailing the entire time, but the man was still friendly and welcoming as he left his warm house to point us in the right direction and let us wander in search of the perfect tree. When that proved to take a few hours, I retreated to the shed where he was nice enough turn on the heater and let us take shelter while my daughter’s braved the storm. Excellent customer service, great prices, friendly owner; all over a great Christmas experience! Wood definitely recommend!

Our family has gone to Roberts for 6 years now. They have the best trees at very affordable prices. My tree always stays fresh and green through the Christmas season. We will continue to go back and cut down our tree there year after year! Thanks Roberts for making it a family tradition.

Best prices to buy a Christmas and nice family who owns the place. Highly recommend to all.

This is just a bunch of property and not necessarily a tree farm. They do have 30 acres of trees but they are all very crowded and it’s hard to find a good one. We ended up going elsewhere.

We will be heading up the hill this morning. We cut our tree here last year and it lasted all the way through the holiday season and then some. Friendly and helpful staff. Great prices. Kids big and small had a ball hunting for the perfect tree.

We always go to Robert’s and have brought friends and family as well. Good price and fun to locate and harvest a tree. For those who object, the tree doesn’t die when you prune it. Totally sustainable and green!

I’ve lived in the Apple Hill area for nearly ten years and have worked at the Roberts Tree Farm for nearly as long… great trees, unbeatable prices, and friendly staff! If you’re looking for an economical Christmas tree and want the experience of cutting your own… come to Roberts Tree Farm!

Don’t waste your time anywhere else in Apple Hill! Go to Roberts! We’ve been here several times and won’t go anywhere else now… They are by far have the most reasonably priced trees. Its $ 4 per foot… This year we got an 8 foot tree so only paid $ 32. The same tree at other farms in Apple Hill would be $ 50 – 80! The people that work there are friendly and helpful too!

I love this place. You can really find some great unusual trees here. Not your cookie-cutter type. Plus the drive up here is pretty, and there are a bunch of winerys so you can make a day of it.
