I went here once with my friends because they were giving a student discount. I asked for a gel manicure and the nail technician didn’t seem very experienced at all. She kept digging her nail around mine to get off the nail polish that went over. It was very painful and she did this to EVERY SINGLE nail. She also got nail polish all over my arm. Overall, it was a very bad experience and I will never be going back.

I have been coming here since Dec 2011 — only once have a had a bad experience. I went back the next day and they fixed me right up at no charge. I am happy with their service.

If I could give this place a lower rating I would. I went in there for a gel manicure, I asked to be given a round shape. She cut my nails into points that were so unevenly I just that I decided to scratch the manicure altogether. One of the women there suggested I get an organic dip set. It cost me 40 dollars, and it’s the worst job I’ve ever had. I would never come here again.

Ever since I moved to Monclair in 2011, I have been coming here for my pedi & madis. The price is reasonable & the job is nicely done. I always have Ni do both pedi&madi. She takes her time to get the job done right! She is very nice and has a lot patience! I love her very much! Highly recommend this place for all!!!

Unfortunately, I had a terrible first experience here. I get gel manicures and pedicures about every 3 weeks at many nail salons throughout Orange County.
This was the sloppiest job I’ve ever experienced. The lady was nice at first, but she was putting globs of nail polish on my nail, causing it to run over on the sides and on to my skin and to become a thick, bumpy mess. She also managed to leave streaks. When I pointed at the nail polish she left on the sides of my nail bed, she kept saying, «Okay, okay, that’s okay» but never fixed it. In fact, she had me stick my hands under the LED lights, causing it to harden instead of cleaning it up with acetone and a little brush while it’s wet.
I tried to point out that there was a dark fiber of lint trapped under the top coat of my thumb, which was painted a nude pink, but she said, «okay okay» and ignored it.
I told her that she also left nail polish on the skin and sides of my toenails, but she said, «okay, that’s okay» and ignored it.
I was hoping at the end, she would get to it. She didn’t. I had to stop her on her way to the cash register and really insist she fix the nail with the dark piece of lint under the top coat. I asked if she could clean up some of the nail polish she left on my skin. It seems like it would be obvious to a nail professional not to send a client off with such messy work. Instead of cleaning it up properly, she grabbed nail pliers and clipped off some of my nail and tore off the skin where the nail polish was. It was extremely painful and at this point, I was done.
I got up and asked to speak to the manager. A very friendly lady came up (she seemed like the main person in charge) and tried to smooth things out. I politely explained to her the things I had experienced and she did her best to fix the damage.
The worst part of this whole ordeal was that instead of apologizing or listening to what I was trying to explain to her the whole time, the lady who did my nails walked off saying something that sounded upset and dismissive in Vietnamese. As the main manager lady continued to try to fix my nails, the first lady continued to speak loudly and argumentatively at us in Vietnamese while with her next client.

Came here after school today cause I felt like treating myself.
The location is perfect for anyone that goes to cal poly or mt. sac. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. When I got there, there wasn’t many people there and then I realized they were closing in 30 mins. The thing I loved was that I never felt as though they were trying to rush me out so they could go home. They took their time and did a great job on my mani/​pedi. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Service was good and they were really understanding when my friend had to leave while they were doing her nails to go back to campus. I got the coffin nail style and I got a 5 discount for being a student, I absolutely love my nails. Definitely coming back here!

Nhi, pronounced Ñhi, does the best pedicures. She’s extremely gentle. So gentle I was able to relax and no keep a watchful eye over her techniques. My mom and I fight for her haha

Nothing bad to say about this nail shop. I was recommended by a friend and I haven’t gone anywhere else since. I love the coffin shape and they get it right every time. The owner is great and welcoming. I’m sure people have had bad experiences (like any other place, there are some workers that aren’t providing the service or warmth expected) but if you talk to the owner, I don’t doubt she will make it right.

I’ve been coming here for a few times, mostly because it’s right by my house. Every time I come I always get the usual, sometimes a fill and sometimes a full set. Well, this time they overpriced me again! On a fill the same price I would of paid for a brand new set. On top of that my nails broke right away. I do not recommend this place at all.

My bestie recommended this place since I actually live in N. Cal, but was visiting with the parents for the holidays. I have to say that it was great! She told me to request Knee (just like it’s spelled), but she was out of town for extended holiday to Vietnam. Instead, I received a pedicure from a younger male whose name I did not get. He did a great job. I am VERY picky when it comes to my pedicures as it relates to detail as well as time spent. He did a very thorough job and came close to my regular lady up in N. Cal. I’m happy to say that when I decide to relocate back home, I’ll have nail place. I will also say that the price was right, though anything is likely better than the exorbitant prices they charge in N. Cal. He also came up with a great design that he did by free hand. I would recommend and will also return!

THEY GAVE ME AN INFECTION! Do not go here! I got a pedicure here a few days ago and when they were trimming the sides of my nail the lady cut both of my big toes and one of my little toes and I didn’t think it was a big deal but today I checked my right toe and it was swollen and had crust growing on the side. Other places I’ve been I’ve seen them open up new packs of clean tools to use but I didn’t see them do that so I’m scared that they used dirty tools on me which caused the infection. I’m scared I might get some type of fungus from this :(

Excellent experience. Called ahead. Got in quickly with my kid. Mani pedi got the lavender ah! So relaxing! Love the owner omg so nice. Busy day today. I am looking forward to returning for a facial. Thank you staff!

Credit cards accepted but only cash tips. Got milk pedicure $ 30. Took time, very thorough, detail oriented, and patient when I had difficulty choosing color. Even removed few hairs from big toe. Rubbed Vaseline onto foot afterwards where dead skin was removed.
Noticed that they put gloves on hands for manicure to protect skin from UV.

I love this place… they are meticulous and have great personalities. I will be back for sure. This was my first time here and i am so glad i choose this place. They make u feel comfortable and they have a great color selection. Love classy nails and I will be telling my friends about it too.

I came here because of the great reviews on Unilocal,and I was not disappointed! The service is great, I came 30 minutes before they closed and they still happily took me. I got the best pedicure I’ve ever gotten and a great manicure for $ 25! The only bad thing is my top coat is uneven but that’s not too bad! I’ll definitely come back.

I really enjoyed my first-​time experience here and I know it won’t be my last. I got a full set of acrylics and they came out just how I asked for them!
I believe if you go into something with a positive attitude, more than likely you’ll have positive results. I say this because a young girl came in kind of snobby and she was rudely demanding. She kept changing her mind, but the workers were so patient and sweet about it. So, they were very professional.
I will be returning soon for a pedicure:)
