Drove to function and form down the street from sfv. Was pretty hungry to I decided to eat at the first place I saw and oh man that was a good choice! Awesome double bacon cheeseburger! Speedy service ! And very nice staff! Next time I’m in the area I’m deffinatly having lunch here!

I’ve been to the Golden Ox in El Monte and It’s 100xs better than this one here in Pomona. I had some chili cheese fries and didn’t care for the chili they use. Asked for an iceed Tea and that was horrible, tasted old and watered down.
I asked for yellow chili peppers and those were green. I won’t be back.
But on the bright side a lot of people I know love this location. This is just my opinion.

I love Greek burger places but this Golden Ox is the best. This place us right by my boyfriends house and he always talked about so we went one day. I ended up getting and the grilled chicken sandwich and a green salad, he got a turkey sandwich. When we got the order I was like «WOW» because the portions were so generous! I had to save the salad and eat it for dinner because I was so full after the chicken sandwich. Came here again today and just got the green salad. I know you can’t really mess up a salad but I love like the way they make them here, and their ranch is super bomb.

Wow, what a great place! I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food is here. I got a garden burger and it was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. They give you a huge amount of french fries which are done very well. I went back the next day for a breakfast burrito and it was enormous! Enough for two days! The food is good, the portions are big… what’s not to love?

Just call it a comeback! It’s great to have Golden Ox back, with a rebuilt restaurant and efficient service, they are definitely bringing it. Breakfast is prepared fresh and is relatively inexpensive for the portions. Burgers and pastrami sandwiches are good considering the other options in the area, beats mcds by far. Chili cheese fries are super bomb but you can be the judge of that. Typical breakfast, lunch and dinner fare that you find in most small burger joints…

Nice renovation, but have you seen the prices? I usually have to get order to go, since they swithed over to pepsi products, prefer coke, and 8⁄10 times I don’t want to drink sierra mist, lol. The colossal burger has been replaced by some very thin pastrami on a boring burger, so unless we are in a rush, I tend not to go here, they have got rid of a lot of the combo platters, so most things like a regular burger end up being about 10 bucks, I can go to nicer places for feeding family and friends.

I really like the food here that’s why I even considered given it a two. Customer service here is horible … every time I come here the service is so so so bad … takes forever to get service … last time, I a paying customer had to wait for 20 minutes behind a person who knew the cashier and got free food!!! Look I don’t care if you want to hook up your friends or family but last I checked paying customers come first !!!

Staff was friendly, good prices, restaurant was spotless (can’t help lazy customers who leave a huge mess) and the food was good. Defenatly deserving 4 stars. Our favorite Golden Ox is in Montebello, the have a guy who is an expert at making burritos! Sounds silly, but how u put the food into the burrito makes a huge difference and that guy could teach me a thing or too.
All in all my son says this Golden Ox is a better value then Farmer Brothers to include taste on the burrito.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of months now and I’ve never been disappointed. The quality of food and customer service is amazing! I can honestly say that it doesn’t get any better in the city of Pomona! Yesenia at the drive thru was very helpful and accommodated my special requests!

Golden ox is back. I never used to go to the golden ox it was before because it was ghetto. Well I paid a visit and it’s so new inside, super clean, and modern. Big TV by the entrance. The staff is pretty great, good attitudes, and quick service. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was kinda packed but I got my order pretty fast. I will definitely visit again.

Ordered the chicken salad and it was probably the weakest i ever had. I talked to the owner, noting that I DO NOT want my money back. I complained about the small portion of chicken that was laid on top of a small spread of lettuce. I counted 7 – 8 strips about and average of 3– 4 inches long and about ¼ inch wide by 1⁄8 inch thick. He said that the 6 oz. chicken serving is the industry standard. Not to mention, that I don’t recall any other veges on the plate. (There may have been). Even one of the employees shook his/​her head in sympathy when I brought it to their attention. (Someone else then referred me to the owner, who was on site)
Since then, I’ve tried Angelos on Mission and Bravo Burger on White. OMG!!! What a difference for practically the same price. Apparently, the G/​O #2 owner hasn’t checked the «Industry» lately.
Only one star based solely on the chicken salad. I don’t know how is the other food.

The only reason I give this place 1 star is b/​cuz it is super clean inside. I used to go to the one on mission all the time and get their zucchini fries which were totally worth it! But sadly this locations food quality sucks big time! Their zucchini fries are tiny and all i taste is fried batter :(unfortunately I will not be coming back to this location again. It is way to pricey for the quality of food.

I am so happy that Golden Ox is back but I think everyone else is also. I went there last week and it was packed. I waited in the drive thru window for 20 mins.

By the time I got back, I realized they didnt even give me my zucchini fries. I had to go back to get them but since it was packed, it was a real pain.
I was let down by the burger as it didnt have the same love from the old Golden Ox. Maybe their grills need to break in with 20 years of grease? IDK lol
I am hoping by the time every settles down, it will be just like they used to be.
