Let’s just say, the noted actions here and my past experience are indicative of the character of the property owners, birds of a feather do flock together. Pomona can get much better property owners, let’s hope. Perhaps if they get no renters or for that matter if renters unite and avoid their properties, perhaps there may be a change of ownership then.

AVOIDRENTINGFROMJEVEDMANAGEMENT. They own much of downtown Pomona’s struggling«Arts Colony», and honestly want to improve the area by drawing businesses into the otherwise sadly vacant buildings in that shady area. They rent numerous lofts in the area, which like most of their buildings are low grade, and lack proper air conditioning, or respectable handicap access. WHYTOAVOID: Jeved Management suddenly evicts good people without cause! They suddenly evicted my partner and I after living in one of their lofts for six months. We did not own a T.V. or radio, never had loud parties, never had any arguments with any other tenants, or the company themself. When asked for even the vaguest reason why we had to leave, the manager at the front desk(Margie Rinke) only gave me a vacant and heartless shrug simply saying«owner’s decision.» To be fair, I suspect this had to do with the fact that I was a college student at and did not have a business I was running in the local area. They never stressed the possibility of eviction for this. Yes, they define the lofts as «Live/Work» spaces, merely encouraging tenants to work locally. This was suggested, but never required. If tenants are not causing problems, and always paying rent on time… why evict them? That is evil and heartless. As a student, or anyone else with half a brain that does not want to live near noisy train tracks, drunken derelicts, bratty kids partying at the local Glass House, and have their apartment surrounded with profoundly obnoxious 2 hour parking that keeps them moving their car all the time… look into North Pomona above the 10 freeway. Rent a room in a house, do whatever you have to do to avoid dealing with this incredibly nepotistic wackjob of a company. AVOIDTHEMATALLCOSTS. Thanks for reading this far. –Anthony
