Been to this place twice now and it’s great to fulfill your Mexican cravings. Plus I really appreciate their customer service. The guy that works the register was just a real positive person. I will return to try more on the menu.

I’ve known gone to this place since it opened up back in the early 2000s. I know the owners. Their food is great period. That’s all I have to say. Don’t expect a fine dining restaurant if you are go somewhere else. The food here is pretty authentic. Came here with a friend on a morning and wanted to try their breakfast. I tried the huevos rancheros plate and it was . Loved it so much. It was mild as well and had a kick of spice every now and then. Their seasoning as on par, their beans is good as well. It’s not bland. Also comes with tortillas of your choice. I don’t really eat that heavy during breakfast but wow it filled me up and wasn’t hungry for lunch so I skipped lunch and ate dinner later that day. The location to this place is on the not so nice side of town and it’s somewhat hidden in this plaza. You won’t expect it to be big when you walk inside. There’s also a bakery inside as well.

I have been coming here from 3 years. This place have very nice food and i come here with colleagues as well. Only last time there was a guy who took my order for a bean burrito and charged $ 7 for a bean burrito. I never seen a bean burrito charged $ 7 any other burrito places and it was not even a wet burrito and also not with any soda too. My advice is just don’t over charge a customer who likes your food and recommends your place to others.

This place is very ghetto and the food is just really bad quality. I knew of someone who was even robbed here and the owners did nothing! I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone…

Very impressed with this place. I ordered medium asada nachos. It was delicious. My mom ordered 2 asada tacos. My mother is a very picky eater and she loved everything. I would come back. Its clean. Service is great.

The taste is so genuinely Mexican… it’s not a fancy place but the glamorizing of their means is amazing… it will be worth the 30 minute drive… I did not include a picture because I finished the burrito… I never finish s burrito I always leave some for later, but this burrito was so good I kept eating it. Who would think a plain care sassafras vigorous could be this good. Coming back for sure

I’ve been coming here for over a year now and I have to say that I love their breakfast specials and lunch specials, but I must admit the only problem that I have ever encountered at this establishment is burnt chorizo and I have ordered the chorizo and egg plate at least three times and all three occasions the chorizo was burnt. When you look at it you could see that it was burnt and then when you try to eat it all you taste is burnt chorizo so that was a big disappointment because I love chorizo With eggs and been eating it since I was a little girl, but I like getting there breakfast burritos.

I like to go here before class, since I go to DeVry and it’s right around the corner. I have been here twice and I know I will keep coming. The first time I came, I arrived at 5pm on a Tuesday and I tried the lunch special with 2 sopes and a small drink for around $ 6. I got an horchata for the drink(FREEREFILLS, HOWAWESOMEISTHAT?! especially for horchata!!) and the two sopes got me super full! Another good thing is that they have free chips n salsa. I recommend the red salsa, which is less hotter than the green salsa. The second time I came, I arrived at 5pm on a Tuesday. I had the breakfast special with machaca(mixed with eggs), rice, beans, and corn tortillas. I had to get the chips n salsa again, of course. I had to add a drink. In total, it came out to $ 7. Again, it really filled me up! Both times I went, I was literally the only person eating there. One thing I noticed, they had an $ 0.85 cent taco special the second time I went(which was this past Tuesday). Service was good, not outstanding, but it was good. The staff is polite. They do have a bathroom. The inside is spacious and has a tv. Plenty of parking in the plaza that it’s in. They have menudo and posole everyday!

Horrible horrible horrible oh and did I mention horrible? Went with my mom got two orders of the three taco special $ 4.50 with a can of soda. The price wasn’t bad BUT the tacos where disgusting. First off I asked for them just the meat only and they made them into the works my mom got two tongues and one asada while I got three asada. First off we tongue tacos had no taste what so ever and over cooked. The asada tacos where pretty much brunt to the max(still trying to get the taste out of my mouth) the thing that made the it even more horrible was the fact that they added some sort of spice to it that made it hard to even try to enjoy the tacos. So freaking spicy, and brunt meat that’s what we had. I called them to let them know how bad the tacos where and the guys response was«what do you want me to do about it?» I’m sorry but when a customer calls and complain you don’t give a answer like that. You know what you could do? Have better costumer service, and better tasting food. You can offer me a refund, so I can spend my $ 10 which I threw in the trash because your food was disgusting. I wouldn’t even feed it to my DOG!!! I’m all about supporting small business but not with owners/employees who don’t know how to cook nor speak to customers who call and complain and you respond with some BS. never again will I be wasting my money at this place. So for all of you raving about the food you obviously either A. Got lucky or B. Know them to give them such high ratings because their food is CRAP!

Breakfast specials. Lunch specials. Traditional Mexican food. Limited amount of drinks. Sauce for dishes are hot or mild(huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, etc.). Beans and rice taste like my grandmothers cooking. Has a bakery to the right and dining to the left, they share the same establishment. Always fresh and on point.

The man making the food warmed up my burrito in a Styrofoam container, in the microwave, for two minutes! If I hadn’t already paid for the food, I would’ve just walked out. I shared the burrito(carne asada), and pork tamale with my bff. The carne asada was very dry. The green sauce on top of the burrito, however, was really tasty. I had one bite of the tamale and stopped right away. It tasted like it was sitting in the steamer for who knows how long. This place has the potential to be good. But it makes me very uneasy knowing how they prepare their food. You’ve been warned.

Great tacos! I ordered the combo meal of 3 tacos and a drink for like 5 – 6 bucks i believe. Kinda not worth it given that i consumed all three tacos in under a minute but they were good though. The tortilla wasnt dry and the carne asada tasted great. I love that they had free chips and salsa so that kinda made up for my quick meal. The place is pretty run down and ghetto and its located in a run down ghetto area. The place moved into the bakery shop two doors down so theres a bakery side to it. I like this place surprisingly.

Walked in for lunch and it was VERY hot inside the restaurant. There is NO A/C unit there. The door to the establishment is kept open and ceiling fans are running. There were flies in the restaurant(which I did not notice until I sat down after I had already ordered my food). The table I sat at was sticky so I moved to another, which was also sticky. Ordered the #18 Combination plate $ 7.99 which includes rice, beans, 1 cheese enchilada, 1 chile rellano, and 1 al pastor soft taco. The plate was brought to me at my table by the cook. The plate was hot and the food temperature was hot. The side of the plate that had the chile rellano was very watery. The entire chile rellano was watery. The rice was dry. The beans lacked flavor(and probably lard). The cheese enchilada was a little too much cheese for me and not enough sauce. The al pastor soft taco was average. The tortillas were heated up too long? They were crispy on the edges. The meat had a nice taste and wasn’t over bearing. I also ordered a large jamaica drink $ 2.00. It was very watered down. There is one bathroom with graffiti on everything in there including the toilet seat. The floor was all wet surrounding the toilet. I don’t know if it was urine or a water leak from the toilet itself. I decided to not use the bathroom and just hold it until I got back to work. Overall I would rate the place 2 stars. Cleanliness: 2 stars Flavor of food: 2 stars Friendliness of staff: 4 stars Variety of menu: 2 stars(I originally ordered the lengua burrito but they were out) Price of the menu: 4 stars Room temperature: 1 star Methods of payment accepted: 1 star(They charge you a fee to use your credit/debit card) ***NOTE*** This was my first time here, so I wasn’t sure what this place was known for. I might give them a try again in the far future after I see some physical improvements in the atmosphere.

The Good: Hole in the wall business, but pretty roomy restaurant. The place smells REALLY good, but WILL make you smell like Mexican food when you’re done. My buddy and I each ordered a Burrito Supreme for $ 5.99 and comes with a drink. My friend got beef and I got pork. It came out to be $ 7 after tip. I love their fried pork, it’s meaty, has a great crispy texture on the edges of the meat pieces. My buddy and I noticed that the beans do have a strong presence, but it’s not overwhelming. The coolness and creaminess of the guacamole and lettuce is nice. Staff is really friendly! The Bad: They charge 50 cents for using credit or debit cards. It was completely empty at 7PM on a Friday night. They did NOT refill their chips and salsa so we didn’t get any. The tortilla of the burrito is a LITTLE loose and wet/juicy, it did fall apart at the end The Ugly: Nothing ugly. The Verdict: It’s kind of out of the way to come here, but the food is decent. They have a buffet on Fridays for like $ 6, I might have misread that, but I would love to try that some time. I would not go here all the time because other places are closer. Check it out if you’re in the area.

Yes, I am Asian. But I would like to believe that little Mexican in me can tell when I have great Mexican food. Maria’s has AMAZING Mexican food. If you aren’t really paying attention on the road, you really do miss it, because it’s in the corner, in this tiny little plaza that I basically drove by almost everyday and still ignored. I am sad to say, I spent most of my first year in college eating at Albertos, thinking that was the closest Mexican place I could find. Maria’s was introduced to me by my friend, who suggested it when I had an incredible craving for some real Mexican food. I went in, and it was sort of empty, which usually scares me off in most restaurants, but the food smelled good and I was hungry. The guy in front was super nice, and when I explained to him that I just wanted a burrito, he suggested a wet burrito combo. It was cheap. It was delicious. It was enormous. It was everything I could ever dream or wish for in Mexican food. I come here all the time now, determined to try almost everything on the menu. I am not sure how I would survive my college years without this place.
