Great place to get some eats after partying all night in downtown Pomona. The staff here is very friendly! Beware there isn’t much place to sit and eat!

Please hesitate, when you are thinking of eating here Papa Tacos/​Crazy Jays because I worked here under the table wise. While I was working here there was a baby roach and eggs in the food I didn’t want too feed to the Pomona locals but the dirty scum cook name Carlos made me feed it our customers … Don’t get me wrong the people who work here are cool but they should closed down for poor hygiene… I actually quite on my first day without pay … Even the drunks of the Pomona fox bar deserve better food to eat… PS Rudy this was not personal at all just clean up the place no pun intended…

This nasty bug was what I found in this place! Yuck, takes away your appetite. I knew it was a bad idea to eat here since it was one of the only places Not busy, dirty windows and sidewalk, but tacos sounded good, tacos with roaches not so much. It was coming from the bar next store, its just as nasty and same owner!

I fucking love this place! Especially since I’m drunk right now… anywho, this place stays open till 4AM on weekend party nights. So why did I rate it 4 stars instead of 5??? Ok, might be drunk and all but still I know what I ordered. I said loud and clear «One asada burrito and two pastor tacos»… Well she gave me 3 burritos. One asada (like I asked) and TWO pastor burritos (instead of tacos like I said!!!) later when I checked my receipt, she charged me what I got. So it wasn’t that bad, but still I didn’t want to spend $ 22 for myself.
Please understand what your customers are saying, or don’t take advantage of them while they’re drunk.
Everyone please go here and eat here, just check your receipt and make sure you pay for what you asked for.

This place was fast for me. The taco was really small and pretty pricy for its size. It was really deliscios though. The carnitas was juicy and tender. I went pretty early though, after reading some reviews, I am going to assume service falls off with the night.

By no means is this the best place to get tacos in general… but when it’s 2 am and you have had a few drinks, this place is the bomb! Yes I said the bomb! I’ve had many tacos and quesadillas after a night out and it’s always good to me. Now let’s go get some tacos!

Avoid this place!!! I went there on Friday. I sat outside while I ate my food. After I finished my food I saw a cock roach inside and no later than ten minutes after that I saw a rat run across and crawl under the trash can. I was so disgusted I wanted to throw up! This place should be closed down by health services! Don’t support this business, I hope nobody becomes seriously ill. Although I unfortunately read some people already have become sick from eating here. Beware!

The food taste good but is made without any gloves I saw the cook bare handing everything. It also took FOREVER and all I ordered was 1 taco! Pretty ridiculous needs more staff and to be more cautious when handling their food. If this restaurant changed a couple things it could be a hit

AVOID THIS PLACE!
Went here after a concert and it was the worst idea. I ordered a burrito and my wife ordered tacos. First they took forever and food was had cold spots. Its too hot and greasy to out eat inside and if you decide to eat outside good luck you will have smokers all around you from the near by clubs.
The next day we had the worst food poisoning. My stomach felt like it was in knots. My wife ended up throwing up all night. We never ate at this place again. I’ve heard the same thing from friends who have ate at this place and didn’t heed my warning.
Save yourself and eat somewhere else!

The tacos here are street style and they taste so good. Like really good. I had chicken, carne Adas’s, and the specialty potato. Chicken was okay. Carne asada made me forget that they put almost no salsa on the taco (50 cents for extra salsa) because it was so flavorful. Moist on the inside, crispy on the outside and hardly no fatty pieces. The tortillas were really good as well. The potatoes tacos are hard tacos and are pretty good. Not bland like many other places but still good.

Looking for drunk food that will help soak up the alcohol?
Then come on down to Papa’s Tacos for the freshest tacos in Downtown Pomona. It’s located right by the Fox Theater and next door to a night club.
They have different kinds of late night food options besides tacos like; nachos, burritos, quesadillas, and other items. Food here is delicious and somewhat authentic. I can see they make the food fresh and isn’t precooked, so that was a plus.
The staff here are very welcoming and are use to dealing with party goers and drunks. If you need a drink, just ask for a cup of water. No charge!
Overall, this place was a win win for me from the mouth watering tacos to the attentive staff. I’d come back for sure if I need something to chow down and break down the alcohol. Also seating here is pretty tight

I’ve been here twice for their tacos and being open late ’til 4am and I was thoroughly pleased by both visits.
I love that the Papa Taco is fried with potatoes inside. And the Fish Taco tastes fresh and clean enough. As I have gone here both late in the night, they made my tacos right on the spot, and I saw that they use a bottle of prepacked pre-​made tartar sauce for their fish tacos.
May not be entirely authentic and original, though it is cheap and very convenient and seems to deliver the hungry goods, especially when you’re hungry late at night. For its price and seemingly authentic, quick tastes, I thought this place was delicious.

Stopped in here before a show at the glasshouse to grab a cheep bite to eat. The Papa Taco was great! Also tried the carnitas taco! Mmm mmm good. Prices fair and food was fresh!

this place was a lot better when it first opened. The staff was a lot nicer and I used to come here once a week. not so much since they seemed to have new people running the place and added more to the menu and rasied the prices. but i still love their carne asada tacos with the green salsa. their potato tacos are yummy with lots of sour cream and cheese. their chicken taco lites are acutally really good for anyone who wants to diet or cut back on tortillas. my beau always gets the papa bowl. im not impressed with their rice or beans, theyre just alright. havent tried anything else here but still decent to go to when youre in downtown pomona.

Absolutely mediocre tacos. Even worse burrito. The carne asada in both tasted fine, but everything else about the taco and the burrito was off. Maybe food here would be okay if you’re completely obliterated drunk… to the point where you’re about to pass out– but that’s about it.

okay spot for late night snack. everyone seemed to have stopped here after the LA Fair to eat for cheap after spending a lot on fried food. food here was tasty, simple and hot served fast too, unlimited refills which was good. would of taken a pictures of the food and place but my cell phone died. oh wells. but its a fun go one time kind of place, bad location tho.

2. But becomes 200% gourmet when you’re schwaysted.
3. Crowd begins around 0100 (1AM for y’all non-​military folks)
4. Try their potato tacos but don’t overdo it. Your waistline might suffer.
5. Don’t mind the drunk slutty girls on weekend nights. They just want tacos in their fake handbags.
