The Hawaiian Torta is the absolute best! The taco special plate is also one of my favorites. I love that it’s a hidden, tiny place next to the laundromat. The young lady who works the cashier is extremely nice; always has a smile on her face. Will be returning for the tortas.(:

Almost $ 8 for an all meat burrito for it to be soooo small!!! WTF not worth it at all basically they gave me the same amount of meat with no beans or rice and charged extra for it. Then I bit into the burrito and the entire top portion was all tortilla. It tasted good but not $ 8 good. There’s other taco joint just as good that are more generous I posted pics of the burrito. Will not be going back maybe I got a stingy cook but I’ll never know cause there’s other places that I can spend $ 8 at. Read my message!!! I am not complaining about the price I am complaining about the size of the burrito compared to the price!!! I don’t mind paying $ 8 for a burrito if it is a normal size burrito not all tortilla!!!

Pastor and Carne Asada is amazing, burritos are great, it’s a great place to stop and eat. The waitress we had also was very nice and checked on us, you don’t typically see that at these types of restaurants. It was an amazing experience.

Very disappointed. As a taco lover, I wanted to try this place. I was even told by numerous people this place was tasteful. Their hours state 10am-10pm. I tried to call in, and it went straight to the stores voicemail. Upon arrival, they were closed at 9Pm. To my vision I see numerous people going up to the door confused why the place is completely packed and the doors are locked. Pretty disappointed as I wanted to try this place to add to my list of favorite tacos. They won’t be seeing my service.

I judge a taqueria by their Al Pastor and their Al Pastor is pretty delicious! I’ve ordered the burrito, quesadilla and nachos. The nachos are yummy but since they use the good thin crispy tortilla chips they tend to get soggy if you take them to go. The burritos and quesadillas on the other hand, travel well. The servings are well served and they have $.75 taco Tuesdays!!! I am very excited about that. The Horchata is not grainy nor watery and is good. They have La Michoacana ice pops and half liter Mexican Coca-Colas. The salsa is very good also. Even the mild is quite spicy, so I imagine the hot one will be delicious to those who love spicy food. The restaurant is small colorful and very clean. The employees were very nice and friendly and very patient… I was very indecisive, I secretly wanted one of everything. lol

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time last night and we are so glad we gave it a try! We ordered burritos and were also given salsa, limes and radishes. The carne asada meat was perfectly seasoned and the rice inside the burrito was soft and fluffy. The salsa was very spicy and had a kick to it. The prices are very low and we were given a big portion. I look forward to coming here again soon!

This bright, authentic taqueria is well worth checking out. There’s ample seating, booths and tables, for a small restaurant and Spanish television(fútbol o tele novelas) playing on a small but easily viewable TV in the corner. To enhance the ambiance there are several sun ornaments from Mexico hanging on the walls and a very impressive signed Mexican soccer jersey framed on the wall. The menu is vast and the prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend the tacos. They offer several protein options, including: Pastor– seasoned pork(my favorite), Asada– beef, Pollo– chicken, Cabesa– beef cheek(very tender, my 2nd fav), and Lengua– beef tongue. The tacos are small Mexican street style tacos on corn tortillas topped with your choice of onions and/or cilantro. They’re salsas are to die for! You can also get radishes and lime wedges on the side. The food is made in house and the rice is pretty awesome, it’s full or flavor, light, fluffy, and fresh. They also have tortas– Mexican sandwiches, enchiladas, menudo, burritos, and nachos! The business is family owned and operated and you can taste and experience the passion they have for what they do any time you visit. I love this taqueria, there’s no other place like it!

I was introduced to this place years ago by my then girlfriend and now fiancé, who has been coming here for quite some time and this our spot for sure! We will drive out of our way just to come here for their delicious food. I’ve only ever had their tacos and burritos, but they never disappoint and the customer service is ALWAYS spot on! And you really can’t beat the price for the quality of food you get. Love love LOVE these guys!

Heard about Taqueria El Sol from a friend. We just had them out to cater a party at the house this past weekend. Called up Maggie and set it up the week prior and everything went off without a hitch. Street tacos(carne asada, pork & chicken) Vegetarian potato tacos, quesadillas, rice, beans, salsa and chips for 70! Food & service were great. Everything went very smooth and everyone was raving about the tacos. Thanks so much for making the party a successful event. Much appreciated & highly recommended!

Second visit today. We had tacos de pescado, asada y al pastor. We also tried castilles de puerco(pork ribs slow cooked in a spicy tomato based sauce). All of it was awesome. Standouts were the pescado, al pastor and castilles. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. I think it is definitely one of the best taquerias anywhere around here. It is competitive with Lily’s Tacos and Tacos El Paisa in my opinion, both of which are amazing. I love the vibe of this place, it reminds me of my travels in Mexico. The walls are bright yellow, they play Mariachi, and the people are friendly. This place is «as good as it gets» when it comes to local taquerias. The salsa and red sauce were so flavorful and spicy that I was literally sweating on my forehead. Go check them out!

Best tacos ever! A hidden place in Pomona connected to a grocery store, this place is amazing, really love the food here and the service was fast and they’re very friendly. Don’t forget to pick up some condiments which was located at the left side of the store. Authentic!!! We will come back here again. It’s now one of our favorite places to eat!

Look, I like tacos. I like Mexican food. I like places that have consistency. This is good food. I have ate here twice in the same day before. Start with a taco special and then build of that. Both red and green salsas are good. Get in get out

From reading Randy D.‘s and Schel H.‘s(What’s up, guys?) reviews from ’11 and ’12, I was somewhat curious to check it out for myself. I appreciate the fact that the restaurant gave me some radishes, as well as some jalapeño & onion slices. They also used(2) 5″ tortillas per taco I believe, the onions and cilantro on the tacos were fresh, that is a plus. I ordered one«extra crispy» tripas taco and and two carne asada tacos with everything. When the tacos arrived, they came as ordered. The highlight of the tacos was the sauce that I spooned on them. It had a great smokey flavor and a little heat(like a 6 – 7 on my tastebuds, must have gotten hotter from a year that has passed). The tripas and carne asada were well browned and seasoned. I expected more meat filling in them, they were rather skimpy. I guess I am used to taquerias(especially the ‘hole in the wall’ ones) and stands that stuff more meat into their tacos. The unisex restroom was clean and well stocked. The service was friendly and helpful. I wish I could rate this place with more stars. It has room to grow. As of right now, I probably won’t go back.

Well what have we here… a decent taco joint on the last pomona taco tour by Michael W before he deleted his account. Well this place was the best of the bunch on this day. It was decent hole in the wall but not what I would call outstanding but definitely better than average. They have a couple of tasty items on the menu to be sure. I tried a mixture of the meats as usual with chorizo, al pastor, and carne asada. The chorizo and al pastor were better than the carne as usually is the case. PROTIP #1: Getting here is a PITA. This strip mall only has entry from one side of the street. Try a Mulita(mini quesadilla like item with meat in a corn tortilla) or a taco for $ 1.25 each. They make them up when you arrive. The tacos and mulita are about the same size with slightly more meat in the taco. The sauces are weak IMHO. They will bring bowls out to you, but dont bother… the hot wasnt hot and the spicy wasnt spicy… they were all mild YAY!!! *rolls eyes* Otherwise the grub was good. The joint is tiny with only 3 booths and 2 – 3 tables. Nothing exterior, except your car. unless you want to eat while standing on the sidewalk… So yeah the basic food was tasty but not OMG to die for kinda grub. So if you go enjoy, but dont expect the world in a half shell if you know what I mean…
