The food here is what you expect, the same at every location. The service here sucks! I am not sure what the occasion is on the day I went, the line was out the door, the workers are not even taking orders. Like they don’t care to let the customers wait!

Came to this yoshinoya three times already since moving to pomona in december. Everytime I used the drive thru the intercom girl always gets my order correct and always let me use my coupons here. Ive had the beef chicken regular bowls the wings and spring egg rolls. Everytime it taste fine. They always give me plenty of ginger, soy sauce and red pepper for my meal. Excellent!!!

Come here all the time because I love Yoshinoya but usually leave upset because Janet Wong has horrible customer service. But today was an awesome experience with great service from Stephanie she did an amazing job and got the order right the first time. Thanks Stephanie

Yoshinoya food is really just fast food teriyaki. Thats all it is. This place though is depressing. The workers dont give a hoot.

I’ll make this short and sweet. Ghana, I appreciate your help in receiving my order through the drive thru and face to face, but you frustrate me every single time I order from you. It’s gotten to the point that I go inside if you’re at the Drive Thru or vice versa if you’re working the register inside.
I have 1 simple suggestion for you that may help you out … LISTEN instead of trying to talk over your customers.
My order is very simple:
1 large combo bowl with orange chicken, original beef, and veggies on the side.
Instead of interrupting me (and every customer I see you interact with) when I said 1 large combo bowl … why don’t you keep quiet for a second and I’ll give you the entire order? I’m tired of repeating my entire order several times just because you want to interrupt everyone that you encounter. I know you’re trying to do your job, but you’ll save a lot of your time and your customers time if you simply listen and then ask questions when your customer is finished.
I’ve worked in Pomona since our company moved here in 2007 and you’ve been here for most if not all of my tenure. I’m getting sick of hearing that:
— You’re sorry, you just want to get it right (if you listen instead of talk over people it will be right)
— You’re sorry it’s busy and you’re taking so long (I don’t mind waiting, but I hate that I’m wasting my time because you can get a simple order right because you refuse to listen)
I don’t want you to get fired, I don’t want you to get reprimanded, and I absolutely don’t want you to quit … what I would like you to simply do is try to listen and STFU when your customer is explaining their order to you. Feedback is necessary as is confirmation that you’re getting the order right, and I understand that, but stop interrupting your customers when they are giving you ALL of the information you need if you’d simply shut up.
End Rant (I’ll still go to this place because I love Yoshinoya like a fat kid loves cake, but I’ll also still continue to avoid dealing with Ghana at all means to keep my sanity)

They’ve remodeled this location completely from the last couple of times I’ve been here inside the store. It looks really nice from where it’s came from. I actually feel a bit more comfortable to dine in now since the remodel. The customer service is better as well. I don’t get the attitude I used to get when I ask for extra condiments or things on the side. They’ve also added to their menu as well. They have honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken and angus steak. I remember when they only had beef and chicken. The bowls and plates have changed as well; they’ve gotten smaller. That means less rice and meat. The quality of the food is still the same, good ol’ beef bowl. The beef is different than Flame Broiler and Waba Grill, it’s not beef pieces cut up and grilled. This is actually thinly sliced meat that is boiled in their seasoned base. This is the closest location to where I live and the hours of operation are accommodating. The next closest one in the area is in Walnut, but they close at 10PM. I’ll drive to Rowland Heights if I have the late night munchies because they’re open 24 hours.

Haven’t had Yoshinoya in 4 months. Canada and Virginia NADA! Been a while, they have new stuff now!

Worst chicken I’ve ever had! Didn’t taste right at all. Some people say they skimp on the sauce yet mines was swimming in it. Probably to hide the terrible taste of thawed up chicken butt

Came in the drive thru. Handed me my drink and it burst open all over me my car and car seat but the lady really help me with as much as she could to mop it up. Thank you drive thru lady. I know it wasn’t your fault. Just one of those Murphy law days. Lol

Worst lunch ever. It’s hard to find Chinese food in pomona so my grandma said we should come here since it’s pretty close. I ordered beef bowl and she ordered chicken bowl, their soy sauce tastes funky and the veggie is overboiled and plain. The chicken is ok

Horrible service tonight. We ordered drive thur and we’re given no sauces. We decided to return for sauces and sat at the window waiting for about 5 minutes and they weren’t very pleasant when they saw we were just back for our sauces.

its good to see that my post from 2÷26÷2012 is still there because i truly loved that place till now. its the fourth time i go here and the beef is sooo under cooked and i get upset every time but i am not one to go up the counter and and make a scream complaint about it.
this seriously was my favorite Yoshioya place esp since it has a drive through but after this last visit when i got a beef bowl, i got home and when i opened it, i hardly got beef and it was still under cooked. again

In the drive thru, the employee greeted and as I started ordering, she said «can you wait?» With a gross attitude in her voice. My boyfriend and I looked at eachother in shock because of her attitude. We didn’t even bother, we just left.

Did not let the bad service ruin my meal. I have been craving Yoshinoya for a while now… I am visiting from Dallas, TX and this is one of my food stops while I’m out here. Chicken does have skin on it. But I like it. Too much rice is served with the meal. The sauce is definitely what makes the Teriyaki chicken an beef combo. I forgot to ask for extra sauce. Food was okay… But next time I will go to «FLAME BROILER»… Good service goes a long way. Visited this place on 11÷29÷14 @noon… Major attitude at the drive up window. If you don’t like your job… You should get a new one.

Never been here before. Got a coupon in the mail that looked good. Got the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl on lunch time. It was pretty forgettable… Chicken had the skin, lots of fat and was very bland. I waited 25 min for the food to come out. I asked for a side of teriyaki sauce because they were very light on the sauce and the girl wanted to charge me 55 cents for a tiny cup of sauce… I said you make me wait this long and still want to charge me? A girl next to me said «tell me about it.»
Next time go to Waba Grill or Flame Broiler… you’ll pay about $ 1 more but there’s no comparison. The chicken isn’t fatty and is skinless at Waba and Flame Broiler and they don’t charge you for sauce.
First & Last time here.

I was hella high off that good California Oh Gee so I had the munchies. With all the hate from other Unilocalers recently about Yoshinoya that made me want a combo beef/​chicken/​veggie bowl even more just to spite them. I should have listened because they were right, the food quality has gone down, the chicken was all skin and lesser quality meat. blah blah blah.
Why do Asians love crappy food you ask? Because it’s comfort food and the nostalgia factor but most of all its cheap and affordable. My family rarely ate out much as a kid thats why Koreans love Sizzlers because it was a rare treat. It was the first buffet out in the 80’s and early 90’s and our parents would whoop our ass if we didn’t finish at least 3 platefuls. but I digress.
I’ve had a change of heart and I definitely recommend the beef bowl not the chicken though! Way better chicken bowls available elsewhere, a large beef bowl goes for $ 5.88 including tax so it’s still cheeeap. Aww gyeahh, where else can you get thin sliced rat meat and onions which I prefer over steak at the other spots. Open until 3AM so it’s good for those late night creeping.
Yoshinoya was the first OG beef bowl, before Flamebroiler and Waba Grill so y’all better recognize. Healthy? I could care less lulz, cancer causing MSG? Sprinkle me mang. I laugh in the face of death of rat meat gyudon which I did finish in 5 minutes. Moral of the meal is be heavily intoxicated to enjoy the beef bowl in all its glory add ginger, red pepper, and furikake and it was damn right delicious!~
