Best bagels ever! Lots of food on each order, great prices even though they just went up in Jan 2016 with their new menu. Its a hole in the wall, a little hard to find a in strip mall.

I will admit that the food is excellent here. I do think that since their prices increase last week, that they have priced themselves out of my budget. It’s a shame as I was a regular. 6 bucks for a bagel with Nova spread? A dollar increase over last week. No thanks.

Discovered this place about a month ago. Since then I have gotten take out, delivery, and have eaten in. All great experiences. The bagels, like their reputation states, are awesome. Home fries are also delicious. We had great service when we are in, speedy delivery when we ordered out, and quick wait time when I ordered pick up. Lox sandwich is a little pricey, but on a ETB it’s delicious, and I can’t pass it up. Will have to try lunch next time!

One of my favourite places for breakfast and lunch since moving here from NY twelve years ago. The best bagels outside of NY. If you go for breakfast try the Corned Beef Hash OUTSTANDING !

I was very happy with my breakfast here! Had a bagel with cream cheese and tomato and two fried eggs and coffee. All for $ 5! Service was great. Everyone was very pleasant and hospitable. The bagel was perfect and the cream cheese was too! Tomato was fresh and my eggs were done exactly how I wanted. I will definitely come back.

Very good! I miss East coast bagels and this place didn’t disappoint! Went 2 days in a row and enjoyed lox on an onion bagel and pork roll, egg & cheese on an everything bagel — both were awesome! Wish we had spots like this in Vegas. Good prices, friendly staff — wish I was in town longer!

«It’s All About That Bagel» These are surely the best bagels in South Florida. Bagel Snack is the NY Deli that time forgot with all the positivity and negativity that implies. Bagel Snack sits in a unremarkable strip center in Pompano. There is a seamstress in the same shopping center and I am surprised there is not a typewriter repair shop. All of this is right next to the John Knox Village retirement community and that is a big influence on the clientele, staff and food. There is a familiarity and comfort in Bagel Snack and you know exactly what you are going to get as soon as you walk in the door. You will be greeted by a kind Grandmother type and shown to your table. That is, if it is not the winter. In the winter when the snow birds descend upon Pompano and there will definitely be a wait to get a table. Once seated you can notice the«nothing fancy» décor with a tribute to NYC in the skyline trim just below the ceiling(This skyline trim includes the Twin Towers which shows how wonderfully classic and unchanged this deli is). If you are there before 11 am you will be able to get the breakfast specials. If you are there after 11 am they serve pickles and health salad. It is a win either way but I tend to get there early for the breakfast specials. For less than $ 5 you can get 2 eggs, a side(home fries(grilled or fried), grits or tomato), a BAGEL, and a beverage. This is as simple and as good as it gets. You will probably not be impressed by the coffee, they do not use farm fresh organic eggs and there is no secret ingredients in the home fries. You can add a meat(bacon, ham or sausage) to make it $ 6.99 but this is not thick cut maple glazed bacon, it’s just bacon. But that bagel, fresh, crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle. Their bagels are fantastic(Not NYC fantastic, but FTL fantastic). Service is friendly, especially when they are not packed. They are also very accommodating with special orders(home fries well done please). As for the rest of the menu, it is your standard deli fare. They have classics that are a little harder to find like kipper & onions or matzoh brie. They also have all sorts of smoked fish and deli meats. These items are good but unlike the bagels they are not made in house and the quality difference is noticeable. Pricing at Bagel Snack is certainly not expensive but it is not the crazy bargain that is the breakfast specials. In addition to the Bagel Snack Restaurant side they also have a deli counter were you can get all these items and their top notch bagels to go.

The name says it all. Bagel Snack has a diner with good food at reasonable prices in an unassuming setting. BUT Bagel Snack makes bagels fresh every day. NOTJUST Bagels, the kind of fresh bagels I used to line up for at 6:00am in East Hampton New York every Saturday for, bagels better than the bagels you got at H&H on 14th Street in New York City. And Lox that are superb! Heavenly! If your on a budget they sell great homemade smoked salmon cream cheese by the pound. Not salmon flavored cream cheese, cream cheese with chunks of smoked salmon. The diner is very good and a great value with quick courteous service. I’m not selling it short. You can order a toasted bagel with cream cheese with your meal. Please though don’t say who posted all this. I have broken a NYC rule. When you find something amazing you only tell your closest friends. Shsss!

I assume this dinners been around for a while because of the interior décor and the whole vibe of the place. They have a dining room where you can dine in, but the tables are really close together; like the Jewish diners in New York. I used to only pick up bagels here, and I was never really interested in their breakfast for whatever reason. The other day I was trying to order from my go to place, but the wait was over an hour. I decided to try Bagel Snack. When I looked at the menu, I realized the wide variety of breakfast foods they had. I order the #2; 2 eggs over medium with grits and a side of toast. Everything tasted really good and they even buttered the toast! The breakfast here is really good. The only draw back the people aren’t that friendly; when I walk up to the counter to pay, the lady took my card, swiped it, and stared into space until the receipt printed. Then she handed it to me and went back to staring into space(weird I know) lol. I signed the receipt and I said have a good day. She just continued to stared into space…

This review is based on counter service and bagels only. They have a good selection of bagels. They are fresh daily. The counter service is pretty quick and helpful. I have never been treated with an attitude. There cream cheese variety is standard, plain, garden, chive and salmon. There all good. I go here once about every 3 months. Ovarall Im pleased with the service and bagels.

Their potato salad is good — that’s really all they have going for them. My work place orders food from them every single day and so as you can imagine– I’ve tried all they have. The food is all very bland and boring. Anything you order will need to be drenched in seasoning and sauce– to be even remotely edible. I recently ordered the Matzo Ball Soup as certain people were raving about it. It was not good– again no flavor at all and the ball is very small. I have no idea why it’s so popular, my guess is people down here like and appreciate boring flavorless food. Maybe they’re afraid of life? Lol. Back home(CA) Jewish Delis take pride in having the best food around. I added a star cause they are nice.

I was looking for a good bagel this morning and decided to stop into the bagel snack. Everyone seems very friendly. I ordered the«everything bagel» toasted with cream cheese and sliced nova($ 10.99) Fresh bagel, no overpowering seasoning, light cream cheese spread, and delicious nova slices. I would’ve given five stars if the place was updated.

I wanted a tuna melt for lunch, and though I’ve had Bagel Snack bookmarked forever for the bagels, they are a NY style deli, so I knew they would have tuna. As you walk in there is a store area with a deli, bagels and other baked good, and a few fridges and freezers with grab and go items. Past this area is seating in a more diner type atmosphere. We were seated immediately at 11:30 and it seemed there morning rush was over. I kind of knew what I wanted but looked over the menu a little anyway as the waitress got us waters. I ordered my tuna melt on rye with american(you have the opporutnity to chose the bread and cheese) and my boyfriend ordered the baked salmon platter with a bagel. The food came out very quickly. I was impressed with the presentation of his salmon platter. The veggies were all cut and arranged decoratively around a large piece of fish. I have never ordered baked salmon at a deli because I love smoked, but he liked how much less salty and less processed it tasted. My tuna melt was large and grilled perfectly. The tuna salad was good, though nothing I would rave about. With our meal we also received a bucket full of pickles and coleslaw. The were sour pickles as well as the more briny/garlicky ones, and the coleslaw was made with vinegar rather than mayo. I enjoyed these extras, and knowing that there was coleslaw for the table kept me from being really bad and ordering fries. Our waitress was friendly and I just can’t get over how quick the service was. We were in and out from a sit down meal within 30 minutes. Here is comes though, why I am holding back on the forth star. I found the establishment, especially the diner area to have a grimy feel to it. I’m not really a snob about that sort of thing, and I love hole in the wall places, but the ceiling tiles were old and looked like they had been through a few roof leaks, and the booths could use a very good scrubbing, or just an update. At one point I saw a member of the staff bring a chair from the dining area into the bathroom then place it back in the dining area. I have no idea what that would be for, but I don’t want the chair I’m eating on to have been in the bathroom. These cleanliness issues will probably keep me from rushing back. I did think the main store/deli area in the front seemed a little better kept, and I do still need to try their bagels(they are made in house). I’m all for a greasy spoon diner, but the chair in the bathroom thing just put a bad taste in my mouth.

Really good bagel, really good salmon. Yum! I asked my Dad to find us a proper New York style deli for brunch today and he brought us to Bagel Snack. Like finding lots of Chinese people eating at a Chinese restaurant is a sign that it’s authentic, entering Bagel Snack and hearing all the New York accents tells you that it’s going to be good. Big menu with everything from sandwiches to matzah brei to potato pancakes, you’re going to be hard pressed to not find something you’ll enjoy. It took me a few minutes to finally decide that it was going to be the smoked salmon platter today and wow, was it the right choice! Of course, while looking over the menu you’re going to have to enjoy some of the pickles and cole slaw that’s brought to the table. Yum. A big platter of smoked salmon was delivered by our Coney Island native waitress and on the plate was onion and rich tomato slices and olives and cucumber and cream cheese. Not in the picture but also dropped off was a nicely done NY style toasted«everything» bagel. Yum. It was busy and the New York accents were thick. And since *they* had an accent that means that I do not. Right? Fuggeddaboutit!

Have you ever heard of Barry Reuben? There’s something about a New York Style Deli that invokes those feelings of nostalgia. They take you back to the days in Brooklyn when your aunt Grelda and your uncle Morty used to bring a bag of bagels from the corner place. You had to shmear the cream cheese just right or else the lox would fall off and the cat would have a field day with it. You remember those days right? I stopped in for lunch wanting a pastrami sandwich piled nice and high, when I something on the menu board caught my eye. Something called a Barry Reuben. Barry Reuben? What was that? The waitress explained it was an «off-the-frame» turkey with Muenster cheese, Cole slaw, and Thousand Island dressing on rye bread. It was served with fries and house pickles. Apparently, Barry is a popular guy around here for just $ 11.99(plus tax). I’m glad I went with her recommendation, it was one tasty sandwich! If you’re looking for a little throwback to your day, this place is perfect. There’s a traditional deli case selling everything from whitefish to tongue(yes…tongue). Bagels and Bialys are located in a see through display case just to the right of the entrance. The all-important and traditional rugalach can be found just below the bagels in the same case. Take a pound or two for the folks back home, it’s delicious! You can even call ahead and place your orders for easy pick-up or if you’re in the area, they deliver! Open ’till 3:00pm you can catch the locals kibitzing over breakfast or lunch with the occasional bubbie all verklempf over pictures of her grandchildren. As always folks, keep it simple for the staff and tip in cash!

After exploring the many bagel options in the area, this spot is one of my favorites. I have come here several times and only been happy with the staff, food and comfortable location to meet for breakfast. Bagel Snack is tucked in the back of a shopping center and is not the most visually pleasing, but they make up for it in the quality of their food. You can tell from the taste of their bagels that they are fresh and their cream cheeses and meats are also freshly cut or prepared. My only real complaints are the coffee is inconsistent. I personally like iced coffee and sometimes it is perfect and others it tastes watered down. Perhaps it is the person that makes it or the time of day, but that is my only concern related to the food. Then the other thing that bugs me is the vortex of the menu that is laid out in a way to offer you the same results at a different price, but all that aside I love this place and plan on continuing to come here to enjoy breakfast or lunch!

Delicious house made bagels and cream cheese! Best in the area by far. This is a NY deli style; bagels and deli items counter service to go or they have table service for breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend breakfast. They have specials before 11am that include eggs/home fries/bagel and cc/and a coffee(or soda) for under $ 5. They used to serve marble cake on the tables, but no longer do, which is missed. If you are there after 11am they serve complimentary pickles and health salad! Clientele can be a little on the older side due to closeness to retirement areas, so it makes for interesting people watching.
